- My FIRST and LAST TIHYDP. God, that was painful - I didn't realize what I had signed up for. I tried to cut down on as much as possible, many fails/moments were not featured because they were too mundane or repetitive.
A huge portion of this video wouldn't exist if I didn't add in the fake laugh counter, so I definitely won't be doing that again. I hope it doesn't bother people though. I would cut out more, but my Sony Vegas was so cluttered it would crash immediately if I did too much stuff, like deleting video portions.
I made the decision to do a fake laugh counter at the very start because I thought it would be an occasional counter which would help me to get 'eased in' as a new TIHYDP maker. Won't spoil the number but fucking hell that was a mistake. I skipped over like 20-30 to give you an idea of how fucked it was.

This game features a fat, lazy, overemotional man who is prone to overreacting about things that are usually his fault in the end, all while insulting or alienating those close to him. It also features Homer Simpson.

It never ceases to amaze me how a man who has played video games as much as Phil is still flabbergasted by the notion of challenge.
He hates challenge and calls it bs, or whatever excuse he has at the time. He just wants those dollars for doing nothing

That's the sad part. What fun is a game if there is no challenge?
Yet this game isn't even that hard save for a couple missions.....it's a pretty easy going game for the most part.

Ralad the counter is fine, but please do without the noise next time. Also sometimes you used the counter when the game made a joke even though Phil didn’t react. Other times you used the counter when Dsp did a fake laugh so that was a little confusing. Thanks for the vid!

Oh goodness. I was surprised to see DSP touch this gem. Hit & Run is what I consider to be one of the best Simpson games ever made and just seeing this makes me want to play it again!

I just wanted to see him try to play Set To Kill. I didn't expect to see him fail the earliest missions in the game, especially as badly as he did. Watching him play the first stage was painful.
Edit: Why did he have more trouble with the earliest optional races than with Set To Kill?
Gerald Weir Because DSP works in mysterious ways. Or he might be intentionally playing like garbage to get attention, as many have suspected.
Possibly. I guess there's evidence here for that.
-Points out that the surveillance van has better stats then the Cletus car, uses the Cletus car anyway.
-Uses the Plow King in the early race and loses repeatedly while continuing to bring up the possibility of using a better car and not doing so.
-Completing the most difficult missions in the game and having an easier time with them then extremely easy mission on the first level.
And all that fake laughing. Jeez, every single time something vaguely humorous is said by a character, he has to make that awful noise he calls "laughter".
I know that doesn't have anything to do with his skill but it still bothers me. Is it impulse? A nervous tick? What makes him laugh so damn much?

Thanks for the great feedback guys. I regret not putting more work into this, much of it was rushed and could've been done better. Oh well, it is what it is. Yes, I will no longer be doing TIHYDP's. But if the mood strikes, I will consider doing a DSP Tries It or a shorter style montage. Sorry to those who didn't like the fake laugh counter, however I hope you enjoyed the rest. Again, thanks for the PAHSITIVE reception on the video. Also, penne is my favourite pasta shape.

What I notice is that Phil has no idea how to brake or backup when he hits something. He just keeps going and wonders why he can't move. I hate to see him drive in real life.

Oh wait... maybe he is. Maybe he literally cannot stop himself from fake laughing every 5 seconds because he's spent most of his life doing it. I think he's actually disturbed.
It got so bad so quick that literally every time the characters said a joke I was bracing myself for that laugh. And it happened. Every. Single. Time.
After counting up and editing all those laughs, I have actually developed a SENSE. I can actually tell when Phillip is about to laugh with 100% accuracy. It's very disturbing.
My god, that's frightening. Nobody should have to be exposed to Phil for that long.

One of my favorite games. Very fond memories of me and my lil’ sis playing it as tweens/teens - and beating it. While it definitely has it’s challenging parts, it isn’t as tough as the Pigroach makes it out to be. It is really quite impressive how bad he is at it.
At least he didn't touch Donut Mod. I would've stopped SHAR-modding for good if that happened.
He was playing on Xbox, so thankfully he couldn't download it.
He's probably too stupid to even figure out how to apply a mod so I don't think that's a problem...

My only problem was all the loud D'ohs you added, which can get irritating after a while.
Everytime he passed the tire fire instead of going over it, I got more and more furious.
I hate when he crashes into something like a car and he's all "OH COME ON!!!" while still holding the accelerate

I'm gonna be the odd one out and say I don't mind the fake laugh counter. At all. Yes, it's distracting (to some), but at the same time, it's the only thing that can keep me interested in watching someone like DSP play. That and the gameplay cuts to failures. I mean, do we really just want to *only* watch this pigroach's gameplay? At that point, just watch the VOD/archives.
I love how Dave uses knowing bart is voiced by Yardley (literally the most common fact of the show) to fake flex that he's knowledgeable and watched the simpsons when he clearly hasn't.

RaineTCG I have... 3 of them... they each have some issues but all I couldn't do anything about... all had rendering issues... all I was suggesting is not using a sound effect for each of his laughs... a counter is fine. Just a friendly suggestion.

I get happy to beat a game because I'm proud of myself. Even if it is easy I just feel happy. Not so overly exaggerated like the Pigroach though.
It's even more sad that he struggled so much with Jak 2 and 3. Those games are legitimately made for preteens/teens and they do have some very challenging missions but I best this game and those when I was 11. With significantly less problems then this manchild. It's legitimately sad

I knew he was going to have problems with Set to Kill. I had more problems with Wolves Stole my Pills in Marge's chapter than I did with getting down with the clown though, so he might have done that segment easily. This game has a fun spike in difficulty and progression due to all your cars being super quick in the late game.

Phil has ruined my favorite Simpsons Game of all time. Phil was making a lot of mistakes in this game and this game was easy for me to finish except for 3 hard missions that made so upset but overall this game was a lot of fun. I like the characters, gameplay was amazing, bonus missions are cool, collecting cards, the cars in this game are so freaking awesome, buying clothes and the story line for this game was so amazing.
