I can’t wait to see the final finishes, the house has allot of potential, it’s huge as well so I know it’s taking time but I genuinely cannot wait to see it complete, with furnishings, the open plans, the redone garden, fixed pool.

Your videos have convinced me that a fixer upper is the best option.
I think the dining room is perfect where it is. You definitely wanna have the living area directly across the kitchen island, so that if someone is preparing food or snacks in the kitchen, they don't feel too isolated from the rest of the family or guests who are maybe watching television or having drinks in the living room. Judging from the other projects, I know this house will look great either way.
And you may want the kids away in the lounge playing games with dinning room in the middle. Two lounges next to each other is just weird. Congratulations you two on the beautiful home

I have an ott idea for the master bedroom. I was thinking of adding a balcony or patio to the main bedroom that opens up to the garden. You could maybe cancel the stairs leading to the wellness centre and use the set of stairs from the living room patio. The “balcony” could join the bedrooms facing the pool. Under it could be a veranda/patio for the wellness room where you could place pool beds. I don’t know if I’m making sense but I think it would be lovely opening sliding doors in the main bedroom and being able to interact with the kids/guests by the pool.

I have a friend who is a landscape architect. She used her kidney shaped pool as the main part of a a bigger shallower mash-type eco pool. It is lovely, can work well here. It has fish in it, froggs, dragon flies. One side of the kidney shape has a hang over deck

What on earth does a young couple need such an enormous house for? In Europe we would start with a sitting/dining room, kitchen bathroom and one or two bedrooms. That would cost about 350 to 400.000 euros, already more than most people can afford!
We want to build our dream house that we stay in for years and start our family in 😁
