That's am AVO valve/tube tester, Mathew, It's for testing just about any kind of valve and the machine will give the results of the performance of each valve to the expected values in the little Mullard book you found too. A very handy machine, even today with resurgence of valve tech in audio etc. Nice one.
The AVO equipment you found was for testing old valves..open the lid stick a valve into the appropriate socket and do a test.I have an old valve operated AVO meter from the 60's still works.Quality stuff that AVO gear.
That old computer at 9:45 appears to be an HP 85b. I used to noodle around for hours on one as a little kid, writing little programs on these to draw graphics on screen and send commands to a plotter, now I have 2 of them. They were marketed in the day as extremely powerful desktop calculators that could also interface with tons of gear you'd find in a lab like power meters, power supplies to log readings, digital oscilloscopes, relay banks to automate machinery.
1:18:43: What you got there is a pressure insulated X-ray generator using the Van der Graaf principle. The belts are missing but the tubes either side are still there.
1:21:22 The formers are made from a material called Paxolin which is a reinforced resin that was more widely used up until the 90's but still has uses in industry. It has a high Insulation and is very tough. I understand that its 'dust' is quite toxic when machining it. *Edit. I was a former employee up until 2000 of Philips for many years, whose factory was originally run by Mullard Tubes. I made 21" tv tubes and 14" high spec monitor tubes while we were Philips. Simply Years Ahead!(?)
I loved the thumbnail for this video, “SHOCKING FIND IN Experimental Radiotherapy Hospital”, superimposed over a picture of Jordan. I always wondered where Jordan came from, now the secret is out.
I wouldn't fancy being in there, the early X-ray and Radio machines were known for leaking coolant, the old hospital cooling tower in Worcester had to be removed along with tonnes and tonnes of soil. That big electrostatic generator looks like the back end of a Megavolt machine but also looks too new to be one.
The lad was right Matt! They are more likely to be Capacitors but store power until it's needed, like a battery but short lived until its recharged. Some serious EMF off your phone there! at 1:51:24 ish
The 'small computer' like thing is actually an RS232 like terminal...the sorta thing emulated by Windows Hyperterminal or PuTTY these days...which would've been plugged into an old mainframe type computer to monitor what was going on with it/interact with it to make it do new things or to work differently to how it was originally configured. Found one in an old server room once...all highly interesting stuff, although, bugger knows how it worked exactly.
Carry some short lengths of rope for the top and bottom of you collapsible ladder for tying off and securing in place. The device your looking at : 01:20:00 might be a voltage multiplier increasing the output charge to make an electric corona on the dome
Labs like this would have created Radioactive Isotopes, for distribution to other Hospitals giving Radiation Therapy. They would only have had a very short half life so would have been in constant demand. That machine would have been a high voltage generator with Capacitors and Selenium Rectifiers.
great explore matt, thanks god for yr extendie ladder, the amount of times thats come in useful, its defo payed its self off, thanks for sharing enjoyed that x
Black L’adder got a work out on this one! Glad you got the DJI pocket sorted since this! Some scary medical gadgets left in this place, giant Tesla Coil is MENTAL! Rent Boy 😂 1:32:15 piss funnel! Split hose 😂 Bloody rat maze!
Fancy letting the pensioner carry the heavy ladder 😉 Great explore, as usual Matt. Ex-sperminate, white wee wee, white wee wee. I'd forgotten that Stephen Hawking's used to star in that, bless him. I would of thought they would of had to get permission to show him. I'd like to think that was Mr Hawking's humour as well, lol.
Those big vessels could be a, hear me out, nuclear reactor. They will often have a minature, extremely low output reactor that can be used to produce nuclear isotopes. They're so small that they don't require any form of cooling I know of a couple in the UK used for defense related testing...one of them being quite famous based up in Scotland. The other, i wont talk about here...although, it is likely pretty well known about in and of itself.
sounds like you know more than me. should we be worried and check ourselves for exposure to radiation. I have a Geiger counter but dont know how to use it properly. email me for more fun chat direct. lol
@@TheSecretVault well, you should be fine as the confinement should have done its job (if that's what they were doing). So long as it remained sealed that is. Also, if it had been a place where that kinda thing is being done, then, there should have been warning signs posted all around. I know that they do use Gamma for certain things. Beta radiation...I'm a little more unsure about. However, when it comes to Alpha, its rated more as a toxin which becomes dangerous when ingested into the body than a radiation risk per se...in a stable form such as U235 that is. The thing with things like radioactive elements though is that, given time, they break down into different less stable forms of the element. They keep breaking down beyond these stages though, tending towards, I think, iron given enough time...iron being the most stable element there is. I would imagine you'd be fine...they may be a little more concerned regards security if there was any risk as a result of radioactive contaminants in the environment...even if that were only on the level of PPE used during any of the production processes which may have been happening there.
People don’t pipette by mouth certainly not bodily fluids not for the last 50years or more they would have used a suction bulb,as for smashing a pipett on the bench top it could have had any harmful chemical in it apart from plain vandalism.
Dose anyone know if matt, has any videos of all the court cases he did say that he, would let us know when he could talk about it ,that was months ago and I've not seen anymore about it cheers for your, help if anyone can
@@Philljagnah my guy, it’s true facts all around, it’s like you’re trying to be quiet while also making noise, I’m amazed they don’t get caught quicker due to it.
The strange computer with the little screen, looks like the one that the so called John Titor came back for the future fix? I thought your gimbal noise was an electric interference lol, when you found the huge generator thing it looked like you had swapped the explore to a ship, but that power thing looks scary as hell, could you imagine if someone was having tests to find they were being zapped with something like that. I must say, I have never seen gay Daleks before, they are a new one on me pmsl. i’am sorry and will be adding to my comments as I watch the video, if don’t I’ll forget what I need to say.

I watched kayleighs one before this last week but I new you and beface would do a proper job as always 👏

OMG, what a find, epic, always enjoy the climb in when you get the trustee ladder out. This really was one for the secret vault.

wow i love all your videos on TH-cam they are awesome to see you make me happy to watch them take care from me kenneth.❤❤❤😊😮
That was one big radiation thingy Bob.
Mr Vault is now radioactive man.
Cool explore😁

That was my gimbal motors vibrating. Its now need fixed.
I thing that's where my old lab partner worked for a while during her PhD. A lot of good, life-saving research came out of that place.
Great explore.
Love the vintage electrics.
Thanks Matthew!
👍👍👍👊😎

AVO is Amps volts ohms, AVO company made the early‘multimeters’ and test equipment
Nice explore Matt. By the way, mobile phones do have Vibrate Mode.😂
1 in 4 ladder rule. For every four units vertical, you need on unit of horizontal.
As always a great explore, could the domed device be a early prototype linear accellerator?
nice radio tube tester btw 🤩
A great lot of people you have with you Matt :) including your fine self .
wow was vary good explore matt thank for take time for us youtubers watch 🥰
What a cool place to wander through ❤
great explore matt, thanks god for yr extendie ladder, the amount of times thats come in useful, its defo payed its self off, thanks for sharing enjoyed that x
“She hasn’t quite worked out yet that I could actually do it.” Priceless. LOL
The first instrument you looked at looks like a Radio Valve tester. And if I'm right it has nothing to do with Xray equipment.
yes thanks for spotting what it was.
Hello Matt it looks like you have found the medical version of pystock there mate. Love it.
Black L’adder got a work out on this one!

Your Batman. Your bag is your utility belt. 🧡🧡🧡🧡 Saw Kayleigh's video too. Loved yours very much. Keep on keeping on. 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
at 1:14 i see multi stage centrifugal pump , maybe it was installed outside because of the noise it makes !
Frankenstein reimagine. 👍 Daleks, too funny.🤣
Interesting Cheers Matthew Thank you very much
Truly amazing Matt
Looks like a giant Tesla Coil - as opposed to a Vandegraff generator.
Its a van de graaf generator

🤣🤣🤣 don't give him ideas 🤣🤣🤣
Hey Matt great explore and video it’s an interesting great place I been there while ago we went the easy way in 😁
Why have your ring volume so loud how you haven't already got caught is beyond me you tell everybody to be quiet and then you do it yourself
IKR!! I’m like! Dude! Turn on vibration mode! LOL !! Stealth mode activated!! ,….not! ! I seriously love ❤️ these guys,..but, ! Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Nothing like a good old mooch 💯🇬🇧👍🏼
lmfao what we gonna do about the banging now hahahahahahahah 43:55 legend lmfao hahahahahah just like me wont let anything go!!!!
Ah yes the cancer lab good one this different way to how we got in thats first bit isnt the entry we thought that we had went up via the roof
Could watch Alex climb up ladders all day 🤩
Its a safe containment for the source.
That thing at the 1:07 mark of the video is a Marx generator
I thought that looked like a Dr Who thing . Have you ever watched The Series UFO ?
Looks good guys 👍
Great vid
16:07 That’s What She Said.
When going in and out building you got to a silent hunter
Last time I see a static generator that size it was 1 million volts
its a a tube valve tester
Hallo ven you are using too must light ven you are out ind sigt
Thats vi the see you
Good program
