WTF how did I miss this one?!! If a chiming clock has wound down before finished striking it's hour when it's rewound or pendulum manually swung it will chime the hour it didn't finish despite where the hands are past the hour. I grew up with these clocks but old ones and have experienced them doing this many times even just with floorboards shifting on being walked past etc, is eerie though when it happens. I used to have a set of those little monks in s&p etc were so cute

We have a grandfather clock and grandmother clock and both sometimes go out of sink and chime wherever they want 😂 so it could be because it’s not been set recently and it’s now out of sink and doing it every now and then 😂 and they do go off every hour and half hour 💚

The hand on that clock, at the beginning of the video, was between the 4 and the 5. After it went off, that hand was between the 5 and the 6. So, it basically moved by an hour. 😊
