This guy is a beast. Started looking for a new sporty-ish sedan about a week ago and I swear, 6 out of my 7 options this man has a review on. ALL 2021 model years.
“Get your butt over to the the business end because I got 12 inches “ Hahah these punch lines just get better and better I don’t know how he can keep a straight face doing it!!
He has the timing right when making them punch lines, which it makes it even more funnier and catches you off guard. That's his swag which makes him unique.
Got my Sonata N Line last week after watching your videos over and over. Got it in Glowing Yellow. Really does have nice performance, and it's practical performance for what an average person would use. If you get more power you won't be able to use it around the city unless you're going to a track meet. Your videos are so detailed I watch them all, even on cars I'll never get just to see the different stuff out there.
Same here - Shimmering Silver Pearl. It's a very stylish and classy car for the highly reasonable price you pay. In addition, I'm very impressed with the comfort considering its notable performance.
"did they run out of Nline badges?" 😄 Good call as always. Definitely bold styling here I dig it but like you say would be interesting to see how well this ages.
I’ve driven the 2020 Hyundai Sonata limited 1.6T which the dealership allowed me to drive that brand new vehicle while my vehicle was in shop. And them cars are excellent on gas and fast acceleration.👍🏽👍🏽
I rented this car for my road trip/vacation from Philly to Myrtle Beach and was BLOWN AWAY. The acceleration is so quick and smooth even out of sport mode and the odd part is the ride comfort and smoothness at higher speeds I give this car a 10/10 & I'll be purchasing one for my birthday in August....
Bought my new 2022 Hampton Gray N line about 3 weeks ago mostly because of the looks and performance and I love it. To me it's got classy, traditional styling. When I brought it home, I was surprised at how much larger it is than I thought. I find the ride to be quite solid and smooth probably because of the big wheels and tires. In addition, the radio has a great subwoofer and tweeters making the sound system amazing.
Not just that the Sonata is my favorite Hyundai vehicle, but I love how you were talking about putting KitKats in the center console because KitKats are my favorite Candies ever including Reese's and Toblerones.
I believe what changed at Hyundai is that they got one of the head designers at BMW who was charged with rebranding and getting the genesis line going. Really beautiful vehicle
It does seem like they are dying but they will make a big comeback in the next 5 years. The driving capability of CUV's isn't getting any better and with pricing just getting higher there is going to be another shift.
I have to hand it to you Joe, I couldn't do what you do everyday to get a paycheck. Your work definitely has its pluses including traveling by air to car shows etc, but I want a paycheck every two weeks from the federal government with benefits. So I wish you EVERY success you deserve. And please keep up the good work reviewing Toyota's and Lexus'. My favorite cars and trucks. Dan
Manufacturers are going away from the fog lights. Less wiring for them to worry about and less modifying the front bumper to implement them. Companies rather spend their focus and money on tech on the interior cus these companies know that the interior is a very important area to promote sales today
Hyundai has an outstanding quality and now with a 4 door sport car!, I have two audis and my wife owns a palisade, my two audis just last year broke more than the 7 hyundais she had in the last 10 yrs. Some of them were just oil and filter change...
I fell in love with Sonata Limited in 2020, went to several dealers but couldn’t get a lease price I was happy with. They seemed to say “you want it, you have to pay our price”. Needless to say I didn’t get my sonata but the styling and interior features were excellent.
WHY ARE DAYTIME LIGHTS NEEDED ? IF YOU CANT SEE A CAR IN A THE DAYTIME . STAY THE F OFF THE RODE HELEN ! USELESS AND STUPID. WHY ANYBODY THINK IT IS AN OPTION IS REALLY CONCERNING.
finally Hyundai is talking my language 300hp about time they give their sedans some power. Not a fan of 2 liter turbos but that hp and torque now thats what a sport sedan should have
If you still want a turbo engine but want more features like leather, 360 camera, heads up display and more check out the limited. The 1.6T isn’t quite as fast...but it has a much more luxurious interior and more tech/convenience speakers. The N Line is basically a mid range SEL plus trim with a larger faster turbo
Love the headlamps and strong, front fascia, slightly better looking than the K5. A big zonk for me are the daytime running lights - wish they had cut it off at the headlamp instead of blending into the trim/hood. Call me old school, just looks off. Overall great improvement from previous models though. Great vid!
Just picked one up yesterday. I LOVE LOVE this car. Hyundai has been stealing people from Audi and BMW and it shows. There is a LOT of bang for the buck here and sporty enough to keep you entertained. If your in the market for a sport sedan you really need to look at this.
I think the rear diffuser area would look better in flat black instead of all that gloss black. Overall I think the Kia looks better. Reliability is still questionable but time will tell. Thanks for sharing it Joe. Nice job! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
I want to put some Nehi Peach in those door pockets with my York Peppermint Patties!! Great camera work Lori and thanks for bringing us this sharp new Sonata N-Line, Joe! Appreciate your hard work and enthusiasm and automotive insights! Coming in strong for 2021!
Just bought one of these in Hampton Grey up here in Canada, has HUD, Heated Steering wheel and Upgraded LED headlights. Tinted the windows and boy it looks sharp, definitely gets a few looks
Hi Joe a great review as always. That hyundai sonata is so gorgeous,it looks so cool. Joe, I'm a fan of your reviews and I really miss the twinkies, the real twinkies that you bought the other day on another car review. The twinkies company needs to sponsor your channel, seriously. Please try to bring real twinkies to demonstrate the pockets spaces etc. Awesome work from you and Laurie👏
@@richgenixI agree, I've said this before when it comes to this segment the Accord along with the Camry is the benchmark. The reliability and the Accord nameplate does add to it. Is the Hyundai faster? maybe. Is it better looking? maybe. Does it handle better? maybe. More features? maybe. Better value? maybe. However the Honda Accord is the Honda Accord.
Hyundai , Kia , genesis has bin killing it with design and features .... now they need to find that perfect note( not speaker pumped ) for their performance models

Great review! I have been waiting for these cars for quite a while. I have a 2018 Accord Sport 2.0 and am seriously considering trading it for the Sonata N or K5 GT. That said, the car I really want is the Kia Stinger but it might be a bit out of my price range. How do these compare to a 3.3 liter Stinger performance wise? I gotta say, Honda has to up it's game. These 2 cars are offering more of everything for less price. An Accord Touring is literally very close in price to a well appointed Stinger and the Stinger is in a whole different league. I think people are finally starting to realize that Hondas are way overpriced for what they offer. Tbe TLX is a great example. Slow as a turtle yet at least $10K more than both of these cars with less options. I am gonna take a guess that the Type S coming out in the Spring will offer about the same performance as the N-line and Kia GT at $20K+ more money and get smoked by the Stinger and G70. Now that I finished my rant. Would you reccomend trading my 2.0 Accord for one of these? It has about 46K miles on it. (had to get the transmission replaced at 10K miles, fine now though) I am just trying to figure whether it would be a significant upgrade or not or just wait and pay it down, then get a Stinger. Again, really appreciate these well thought out informative videos which very much help people make these types of decions...
Your video's are awesome it really helps me make buying cars easier , after I watch your video i know exactly what I'm getting when I make a purchase , I'm lookin at at K5 gt or this Sonata N line leaning towards the sonata for the 2023 model
I am the one that purchases that car the you reviewed from Crown Hyundai. I picked it up a couple hours after you reviewed it. Turns out the transmission failed at 15k miles and has been in the shop for 5+ months. I also not the only one having the same issue with the Sonata N line. It looks like this car has a bad transmission on it or something.

An advantage of the K5 GT. Quite a few vehicles have eliminated foglights with the trend to LED headlights. Guess they feel they aren't needed.
