It makes no difference if you can easily afford a property, as this couple obviously can, it's a matter of paying a fair-market price. I'm with Orlando, they need to negotiate on the price of the home. And the most important part of any home negotiation is YOUR willingness to walk away from the house.

Indeed, US President Trueman did have a home in the Keys and even though he knew very well about Florida's hurricane season he invited 2,000 unemployed & starving US war veterans and their families, most of whome hated Trueman for what the US gov. did to them, to live in the poorly constructed degraded workcamps and work for the south Florida railine and most of them, women and children and war vets, either died or were forever MIA after the "No name hurricane" hit south Fl. That's one way to balance the vote system, and get rid of the voters who don't like you the most. *Research it and don't delete it from history, like the US government has tried to do.

One hurricane and all of us pay higher insurance premiums . The keys were a much better place when A1A was a two lane road .

That occured to me as well. Those hammocks, stairs, coconuts and easy access to the water, I think I'd be a nervous wreck keeping an eye on them.
