The Bible says that if you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord you will be saved. There is nothing wrong with that prayer

Exactly there's nothing wrong with that prayer. You said it right on the right path. I prayed that prayer many years ago and I'm saved so that pastor doesn't know what he's talking about. He's just being blasphemous. Thank you for your comment. God bless you for eternity.

I'm no Osteen fan but he certainly did not mock God within the words that were posted.
Osteen preach God words but he don't take truth in his life. I stop believing on Osteen when flood at Huston Texas, he didn't want his church as shelter and he said I puffer pay hotel rooms. I saw the video ... he cares more church then the people...

Thank you, sirs. I was about to say something along the exact same lines. Glad it wasnt just me. Despite what may or not be wrong with osteen I don't think these videos have any relevance whatsoever and there is definitely absolutely nothing wrong with repentance by confession of mouth and asking Christ into your heart if you really mean it. Because God will answer that especially if you mean it. He is the only way to the father none will get there if they can't surrender to jesus perfect example of God's will and love through obedience.

He said “repent” he said to make Jesus your Lord and savior. How is he wrong? When they say to come into their hearts it means their most important part of them. To change their heart by having Jesus enter it is symbolic. I don’t listen to him but how is he mocking God?

@@michaelsears6702 I know he doesn’t usually but in this clip he literally says to repent. All of a sudden preachers are saying that asking Jesus into your heart is sending people to hell. God knows the position of our heart. He knows our sincerity. So if we don’t get the words completely right we’re going to hell?

How is someone going to say this prayer and mean it when Joel never explains what repentance means? If they have no idea what it means then they don’t mean it. He is a false preacher. I was baptized when I was 9, I strayed from God as I got older, I was angry, got involved with the occult & lost faith, now that I'm older, I'm finding my way back, I like Joel Osteen, I watch him on Sundays, but I'm learning to make Christ apart of my every moment of life, I'm still struggling, but only God knows my heart & where we stand , I do not think Joel was mocking God

If you've been born again (Spiritually) as Jesus clearly told Nicodemus, then we have the Holy Spirit to teach us, He is our guide, daily teaching us as we grow and learn by reading the Word. Jesus is the Word made flesh and dwelt among us. Mistakes come when we pick a verse here and there and read them out of context. In order to understand the NT, we must start from the beginning of the Book (Genesis). The Bible is one Book. Where is Joel Osteen wrong. CHRIST when He was here, HE asked d jews to believe HIM - as the Truth, Light & Way to the FATHER & that He was d One written in Isa 54. The apostles & believers were commanded to preach the Gospel = John 3:16, which Joel Osteen is presenting, repent means change of mind, when you sincerely take JESUS CHRIST as LORD & SAVIOR - meaning HE paid for your sins as written in Isa 53, the reason why you need a savior is bcoz u can not save ourself, so what is the point of pastor Paul? Being born again is a journey of being raised as a child of GOD, being transformed by GOD himself from glory to glory, faith to faith & strength to strength. So if there are somebody who is leading people to hell, it is those who make salvation harder than it really is. JESUS said it HIMSELF, "it is finished", what else are you asking people to do before going TO GOD other than changing their minds? Are you asking them to live godly 1st, b4 going to CHRIST? What's d use of CHRIST for you. It is written, All have fallen, no one is righteous, No, not one. Hypocrite. Only d sick needs d Healer.

Joel Osteen is not a person I would be ministered by. His Idolatry of fame, fortune, power & pleasure are sinful & people that follow him seem to be saying they are ok with that, also idolatry. If you are leading a flock, you can’t pick and choose or change or omit the words in the Bible. I've seen Joel live twice and let me tell you, that room was FULL of the Holy Spirit. I prayed that little prayer with my mother in law who was dying of cancer and the very next day, she went to be with the Lord. Same thing with my sister in law who was also dying of cancer. They are both now going to enter God's kingdom, when He comes back for His children 🙏🙏🙏

God knows your heart! I was shy, poor and very unconfident as a child. I was turned off at my church with the other teens who were not nice to me. The Pastor at that church shared the Gospel and I knew all about Salvation. One day another church (Baptist) had a rodeo, picked us up in a school bus, gave us bag lunches and preached before the rodeo. I was with a different group of teens but knew what I was doing. I said that sinners prayer and was born again 4/5/1975! Yes, I backslided but rededicated my life to Jesus a few times. He came to save you, me, Joel Olsteen. We all sin and fell short of the glory of God! Thank you Lord for Your blood and that You sacrificed your very life for us on the cross. Help us to look to You, live for You, love You and the lost. You are the way, truth and life. No one comes to the Father except through You! Amen!

Amen.. My testimony isn't much different from yours my friend.. I've been Baptized twice , once without true understanding and an unwilling heart. Then a second time many years later , with opened eyes and repentance in my heart. I became a member of a Southern Baptist Church . Full of folks who had nothing but love , respect and appreciation for me. But after a few years of walking in the right direction on the right path , I lost my way on New Year's Eve when my Wife and I Back Slid .. I fell back into the grip of the World and it wouldn't let me go.. I tried to Rededicate my life back to the Church and to the Lord Jesus Christ.. But this world wasn't going to release me or my wife.. It's been 14 -15 years since that happened and my life has been almost unbearable.. And for the past year and a half , I've been praying and asking for the Lord Jesus and Father God's forgiveness and mercy.. But I feel like I'm no longer worthy of our Lord's forgiveness , because my prayers go unanswered.. My health has gotten really bad and I've been in the last stage of COPD / Emphysema to go along with a few other health issues.. I'm getting so scared , I'm afraid that I've failed the Lord Jesus so many times that my name ,( if it ever was ) has been removed from the Book of Life.. HELL is a very real place , regardless of what some people think these days.. And I'm so afraid that it's where I'm going after standing before God and accepting accountability for my life.. I've been praying , asking the Lord Jesus back into my life , confessing my sins to the Lord Jesus and pleading for mercy and forgiveness.. And I'll continue to pray , God can see all and knows all , nothing we've done yesterday or do today , can be hidden or denied.. So he knows my heart and knows I only want to obey his will .. I ask all who read my words , please pray for mercy on my unworthy Soul ... May only the Love and Blessings of God and the Lord Jesus Christ be with you and your families until the day our Lord returns for his children.. Amen 🙏🕊️

Many times when I was in a bad way I put on a Joel Osteen sermon and It always helped me through - always a positive message
I don’t understand why pastors have to preach a sermon on another pastor , why can’t they just preach the word and stop making people talk bad about a pastor they don’t know, so sad, that’s for God to judge not those pastors that preach on other pastors, they are no better than the world
Look up the phrase in your concordance "their mouths must be STOPPED!".
It is manipulative, bashing another pastor to get ahead, or attention, or whatever.
Christians in general, and pastors in particular, are directed by the Bible to hold each other accountable; and if we find a fellow Christian living an sinful life, or find a pastor preaching doctrine that is contrary to the Bible, we are directed to call them out for their sins.

I'm suspect that it's not enough to believe. I'm convinced that living as much like Christ as we possibly can is the way. I fear for myself, I honestly feel deep down, I'm not doing what God wants. I hope and pray we all can overcome what Satan is doing to us under our noses.
Praying is a wonderful start and a Bible study is such a wonderful thing to start doing. These preacher's of false religion are the worst thing to turn to. Please ask in prayer for your eyes and heart to find the truth and if you're sincere, I know help will come your way.
The Bible says that whoever shall call up on the name of the Lord shall be saved. I’m not a Joe Osteen fan, but the only way you can call up on the name of the Lord is to pray. Don’t listen to these quacks that think you can be saved one minute and lost the next. These people send more people to hell than anybody because their religion is based on works, not Grace.
I prayed that prayer in 1991, and I'm still saved even today in 2024. I know I'm the child of God , and I'm going to Heaven. That small prayer is sending me to Heaven.
So many follow these televangelist. See the members writing down notes. Blind to what they see. A very rich guy that doesn't help those in need, only helping himself. Those who listen to those guys, I walk away from.

I'm not a "prosperity preacher" fan... but one thing I must confirm is that the HOLY SPIRIT convicted, convinced and gave me the method what I must do to not only receive ETERNAL LIFE but also to become free from bondages... and I've PRAYED repenting all my sin denying myself surrendering to JESUS CHRIST accepting HIM as my LORD and SAVIOUR. After this the "demon" I was bound by with depression, lust and hatred anger got up and left walking out of my body as I was sitting alone in my room... I was set FREE and knew I am now saved... Then the HOLY SPIRIT gave me SCRIPTURE but I didn't know the HOLY BIBLE yet so I had to look it up in the index- Galatians 5 from verse 16 to the end of the chapter... now if you guys read it you'll notice verse 24 in accordance to this video... If one repent the so called "sinners prayer" meaning with one's whole Heart the HOLY SPIRIT will enter you and the darkness will leave you.

To BLESS us with FAITHFULNESS towards HIM. 3.) To HATE sin. 4.) To be filled and live through the HOLY SPIRIT. 5.) To LOVE reading the HOLY BIBLE.
You start "FASTING in PRAYER" for one day eating your last meal at 19:00 so it can digest and be out of your body before "FASTING" time starts at 8:00 in the next morning running for 24hours until the following morning stopping at 8:00. During your "FAST" you'll "PRAY" for those 5 points. It's not going to be easy as your body will disappoint you but you'll have to stick through. You'll become sick vomiting saliva getting migraine headaches and you'll think that your busy dying. When you become hungry you PRAY before reading BIBLE as the HOLY BIBLE is the BREAD of LIFE. As you read your hunger will literally leave your body. Once you've made it through "PRAYING" confessing your sins and reached the following day at 8:00 enjoy HOLY COMMUNION with unleavened bread and red grape juice or (red wine). JESUS CHRIST will not only set you FREE but recover you as HIS child... as your journey grows you'll "FAST in PRAYER" for longer/ more days but through the HOLY SPIRIT. Now you can PRAY for anything as the HOLY BIBLE says "The PRAYER of the righteous has great strength. May JESUS CHRIST BLESS you TerrySmith.

I too prayed a prayer and was told by the pastor who prayed with me that I was saved. He asked me to officially become a member of the church afterwards. When I agreed I was invited to a special dinner for all of the new members of this church. I had to sit there and listen to an hour worth of that same pastor preaching to us about the importance of giving money to the church. A simple prayer does not ensure your place among the people of God in heaven. A life lived for Jesus and his sacrifice on the cross for us will.
Pastor Joel Osteen has helped a lot of people with his messages. There are people that has suffered from depression but but listening to his encouraging sermons to come out of depression and they believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Please do not look down on Pastor Joel Osteen.

The Bible does not say anything about accepting Jesus into your heart. I was taught that as a kid but as soon as I got old enough I was let known that is not true. It is not about one simple moment but of a lifestyle. It is to live your life for Christ. If you said you loved your gf in one moment but then repeatedly cheated on her after would she look at that as love?

Salvation Prayer - The Simple Steps:

It took me years before knowing someone who could kill someone at lunch and pray before eating dinner as if he just killed a cow so his family could eat. He used to say, "I'm just a squirrel, looking for a nut", he would say "God never said it would be easy, he said it would be worth it", and his philosophy was God understands, he made us sinners, if he expected us to be any different then he would have made us differently, he understands we are sinners. He was the most loyal person I've ever known and he lived by his rules, fearlessly. He ended up killing himself cause his fingerprints were on the bullet casings of a deal he wasn't a part of but he doesn't snitch, but he would have had to testify against the person or take the rap, and regardless he was going back to prison. He really believed this was the way life goes, and now, i can't unsee it, he was right in so many ways. When i see people getting brave with strangers, then threatening to call the police. Where I'm from people have as many friends behind bars as they do on the outside. There baby's mama has a mouth on her and bangs whoever she wants, emasculating him and the government is designing this while some women don't realize they're products of deception. I don't believe my buddy was so crazy as i felt at first, he just doesn't have power to get away with what our politicians and the connected elite have. Destroying society by design, for power, and they're so jaded they have turned there back on God years ago. They are openly Satanist. I think the church at the Vatican isn't telling us everything cause they need us to believe Satan is this bad person tempting us, and when you think about it that's a contradiction to what God would pay. The inward show of faith is obedience not to a command but to a purpose. The purpose of baptism is the faith behind the act. It is the scripture that gives the purpose of baptism... for the remission of sins. That's at a very rudimentary level. Later after conversion... a more intricate understanding of what is taking place is explained in scripture.

this needs to be clarified. A prayer dosent save you but the sinners prayer is based on Romans when Paul says if you believe in your hearth and confess with your mouth you are saved. We have assurence of salvation.
And still there has to be a change. Works that come through salvation and faith.

But we are not saved by doing good works or by obeying the law. Of the fruits of the spirit is goodness or desire to do good. As a christian obeying God's law should be important to us but at the same time we know we dont be able too. The bible says all have fallen short of the glory of God. there is none that are righteousness no not one. We are always as christian going to come back to that cross throught are lives seeking God mercy because we fell short. Repetence means a change of mind and a desire to stop and actions but genuine repetence dosent mean you will commiting a sin. If it did we would be able to at some point obtain perfection wich we cant

All my life being a Jew i’ve gotten approached by Christians asking me to accept Jesus Christ as my lord and savior. I mean since i was a little boy. Around 20 years ago while working at a flea market an old lady came upon me and out of the blue asked me to pray with her and accept JC as my savior. I finally did and was old enough to realize these “Christens” were not trying to sell me something this time. I believed after I had my own miracle just before her and i was alone and I thinkbI was dying with no one to take me to the hospital I prayed to God and to Jesus whoever is my God to please help me,….suddenly my pain had subsided as if I hadn’t been dealing with it or ever had it. It was just GONE! I don’t know why but I fell to my knees, cried and felt an overwhelming sense of unworthiness and thankfulness at the same time. I don’t know why I felt so unworthy but the day I met that old kind lady at the market you bet I was going to accept what my heart was telling me. I also made God and Jesus both a promise to keep telling that story which really happened. Im going to say amen here now. Thank you again Jesus and Amen 🙏

He actually suggests, in, I believe, Chapter six of 1 Corinthians, that a man who was part of the Corinthian church, who had taken his dead father’s wife, (so his mother), as his own wife, should be excommunicated. Which means kicked out of the church, until he repent, should he ever repent. The Bible does not teach us to be “accepting” and to “compromise”, doctrine, but rather to defend sound doctrine and sound teaching. We do Christ a great disservice, as well as to our brother or sister who is in heresy, if we don’t correct them and call them out. Because if we don’t correct them and call them out, we are not helping them, or at least trying to. Ultimately it’s their decision as to whether they choose to stay in that heresy or not, but the least we can do is warn them of their false ways. I pray this helps. Joel Osteen brought me closer to God when I was mad at God after my divorce and was lost and giving up. That was path back to God. His compassion and words helped me know God loves me and helped me come back to Him. Then i graduated up to joyce meyer. Then she helped me develop and surrender my life fully to God and grow. God helped me grow and grow through her and read the word. And as i grow God has brought me to other pastors and step up. I believe each pastor is there for someone who is in a certain place in their life. You dont mock other pastors or bring them down though. Thats not your place to judge them. You should be exposing the churches that are teaching people that God is a woman and calling God the mother and crazy stuff like that.

What is Paul wrong about then? Matthew 7:13-14. We all know that we're saved by faith, but can we know if that faith is genuine? We believe in Jesus, and that's how we enter through that small gate. But even Satan believes! If you are truly saved then you would also walk on that narrow path, which is to live not like the world anymore but to surrender every day to God. You would be transformed to be like Jesus because His Spirit resides in you, disciplining you every day. That's how you're assured of your salvation, not because you prayed a prayer one time in your life.
