    Hot Tip) When you open the box, take out unroll the hopper. Put out in the sun for about 30 minutes. It will make it stretch easier.

    I just put mine together yesterday and found this today. I was interested to see what you did with the long bolts that attach the basket to the frame. The hieroglyphics in the instructions gave no help and I couldn’t make heads or tales of it… so I felt forced to reverse the support channels, get shorter bolts, and add 4 washers on each side just to make it work.
    Now in your video I see you had additional silver plates over the support channels that I didn’t get. I can see how that solves my problem. But I made do and the sweeper works great!

    Nice video & good job at assembly with the lawn sweeper. i brought a 46" one from Sears back around 2002---2003. mine works really well behind my 1025R. i have to use a pull rope to dump my hopper, when it dumps, it also collapses which is nice. then it all opens back up when i let the hopper back down. Awesome video & good job.

    @A Tale of Three Cabins, 5/28/21, I love this idea! I just got a Gravely ztx42 & was contemplating getting the bagger attachment. Well, that's ~$1000. & is cumbersome to install (uninstall). I notice this Agri-Fab doesn't need a trailer ball......~$300., not bad! I don't care about grass clippings but this, I have only to get the leaves (lots of'm) out from the sides w/my backpack blower......Once again...GREAT IDEA!

    Just bought one of these today at a tractor store. And I assembled it before watching this video. And made the exact same mistake you did with the 2 holes for the retainer rods of the hopper frame assembly being upside down. LOL Also. I'd like to add with this particular model. I really wish Agrifab expanded their smart-link system for a true all in one row behind.
    I like how one unit can be the aerator, dethatcher and roller, but I don’t want to get a second unit for the lawn sweeper, as well as for the broadcast spreader or even sprayer.
    They make a separate combo dethatcher and lawn sweeper, but then you can’t add on a aerator attachment. They also make a separate combo aerator and broadcast spreader tow behind, but then you can’t use the dethatcher or lawn sweeper unless you get a separate unit.
    The smart-link system would be the best on the market if they offered the ability to use a aerator and broadcast spreader together, as well as a dethatching with lawn sweeper, all in a single tow behind platform and just swapping out the attachments.

    Nice video. I gave ya a like. Last year I had to start taking care of my folk's lawn. Yowza!! 1.5 acres and lots of trees. I raked at first. Skip that. I got one of these used off of Craigslist. MUCH better than raking. Unfortunately it's still a fair amount of trips back to dump. With all the dumping it was taking me 4+ hours to do their lawn. I think this year I'm going to bite the bullet and get a leaf vac. Hopefully my comment didn't come off as griping. These things are absolutely great within limitations. They're a lot less $$ than a leaf vac.

    • @dannyd5697
      @dannyd5697 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ataleofthreecabins1025 - I'm fortunate there. My folks live on a river, so there's a hill that's slanted down towards it. Dump and go. A bit of leaf blower use to push it around a few trees, but overall pretty easy. I wish the yard rake had more capacity. If it had 3X the capacity, it would be perfect.

    Will this pick up small twigs too?

    • @ataleofthreecabins1025
      @ataleofthreecabins1025  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Very small less then 6 inches, larger twigs and stick can get caught in the brushes and jam. I would scan the yard for stick and branches and pick them up before using the sweeper.

    I seldom use it. I get too many leaves falling and it fills up really quickly, I mulch with my 60D 1025r mower.

    • @ataleofthreecabins1025
      @ataleofthreecabins1025  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It does fill up quick and you need a good area to dump them.

      @mikes3703 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well you can mulch then set the brushes a little higher so can pick up as much of the mulch as you want instead of leaving a thick layer on your lawn.

    Hey, do you think this would this pick acorns up from asphalt surface?

    • @ataleofthreecabins1025
      @ataleofthreecabins1025  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not positive but it did throw in loose gravel going over a gravel drive if I didn't have it raised up all the way.

    You think this will pick up walnuts out of grass?

    • @ataleofthreecabins1025
      @ataleofthreecabins1025  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not positive, the grass would have to be short. I know it will catch loose gravel if I catch the edge of my driveway.
