- After a lot of requests, I finally got around to making a video of all the tools I use for all my fixed gear bike builds and bike projects. These are tools I've gathered over the past 10 or so years of fixing and building bikes. Give it another 10 and I will hopefully have them all🤞
If you have any questions about the tools, please leave a comment bellow or send me a message, I'm happy to help out.

I really like your content man...
Thanks man, I appreciate the support! Glad it helps you out
Sweet tool set pro ! I agree about the stand it does make working on bikes way easier. Cable and housing cutters is all I need that's in your kit. Good show sir.
Content we needed 🔥🔥
Facts bro I only need the most important ones
I feel reassured with my tools, although not so refined mine but do the job
We almost got the same toos :D one thing i would invest is a set of good cone spanners if you mess with wheels regularly
Awesome! Yeah I've got some cone spanners, completely forgot to show them! My bad..
The mini 9 is a must
👌
Muy bueno el contenido, chevere lo que hace, sirve bastante, saludos desde Colombia amigo

My favourite tool would probably be a Headset press just the looks of it and ..... , stunning.

Ye we need that. Also how to true already built wheels
That would be an excellent video.
Yep definitely! Check out this wheel build I did, not a tutorial but I talk about dishing and truing th-cam.com/video/vckrOHSucLU/w-d-xo.html

☺️
I'm just about to build my first wheel do you do your wheel builds without a tension meter? Is it recommended for a beginner? Not really keen on spending another 80€
👌🏻👌🏻
✌️
Sweet vid man, I was wondering what brand your whip is? Is it the Shimano one? Super hard to find a combo chain whip/lockring tool to suit 1/8 chains. Cheers
Thanks man! It’s Lifeline Pro
@@waveywheelies Thank you!
Not a lot of fixed gear riders build their own wheels. I wanna see you build a pair
Have you seen this wheel build I did? th-cam.com/video/vckrOHSucLU/w-d-xo.html
Nice Video! I am just deciding about tools for my fixed gear. Couple of questions. What's the difference between the cassete and fixed gear chain-whips? Why won't the cassete one work on fixed gear?
And where can one get that toolset you showed at the end?
Thanks man! The difference is the actual chain's on the whip are different, the cassette chain whips will usually use a 8 speed chain or similar, where as the fixed gear whips will use a fixed gear/single speed chain. So basically the geared/cassette chain whip won't fit nicely if at all on a fixed gear cog. (you can actually change the chains on the whips but its not always easy).
I got mine online, if you search "bike tool kit" they will pop up, loads of different brands out there. Just depends where you are located. Hope that helps ✌️
@@waveywheelies Thanks a lot dude! Keep up the nice builds!
Hey mate. Are there any tools that help install sealed bearings into the hub? Or are we left to the persuasion of the mallet?
Yeah man, you can use a bearing press. Or alternatively you can a socket that’s the same size as the bearing and gently tap it in. If you do, just make sure your pressing against the metal outer ring and not the rubber seal
@@waveywheelies shot bruv👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I was thinking about buying the pk5, but I am very intrigued that i won't be using most of the tools..
Which is better as a commuter bike for a blend of comfort and performance - steel, aluminium or carbon?
I’d personally go for steel, a lot of different options for strength, stiffness and weight. Also easier to repair and a lot more forgiving
What website did you order from?
hey WW you have a link for the wheel truing stand??
Hey man, it’s this one here, seems like they have changed the brand name to lifeline - www.wiggle.co.nz/lifeline-pro-mechanic-wheel-truing-stand
Hey dude you might be able to help me out here, I’m looking for a set of aero discs/covers or whatever they’re called for my 700c single gear. I’ve had a look on the usual places and they’re all from America and over $150AUD, which I think is pretty expensive for some plastic. Before I go ahead and waste a week trying to make some, do you know of anywhere in Australia, or a supplier I can buy one set in black from? I don’t really want to spend over $100 because I figure I can buy the material and make it for less than that, but the time it would take to make them is something I don’t have a lot of, and I’m pretty sure I’d never make them quite as neat as what a bought pair would be like.
Hey man! Interesting.. I haven't actually seen many before, they do sell them on eBay but I've never personally used any. Cant see it being that hard to make? Probably worth a shot if you don't want to fork out the $150. Or maybe try second hand marketplaces?
Tools = 🤤😻🤤😻🤤😻
👌
you should make a video on how to fix up a headset always had the problem of it
You mean install or actually fixing one?
@@waveywheelies install one sorry for not being clear and thanks for replying look forward to the video!
