    Thanks for your video's, used your CP2 FPS boost guide, just for the hammer spacer (wanted to be able to revert any changes) and I'm loving how it performs!!
    Using It as a Carbine with the short barrel, silencer, barrelband, bipod and super compact 1.5-5.5x20 scope.
    Mostly shooting in my yard at max 15m or indoor at 8,5m the gun is accurate and nicely silent not to annoy the neighbours! 😄

    I keep one of my Diana chasers in .177 in that configuration with the ommo green/red dot sight it's very accurate @ 15 yds!..nice video Tyrone!. My hands are too big to shoot them without a stock that's why I keep my chaser .22 pistol in the Bandit wood grip..👍

    I kind of went the other way by setting up my first CP2 as a pistol but giving it the wooden CP1 grip. This requires some woodwork to fit. The target pistol grip can be carved and is very much better to hold than the CP2 plastic grip. The CP1 would probably make a very good pistol but its barrel has a counter weight and needs a silencer for backyard. With a Hawke Vantage 1x20 red dot which fits nicely.
    I found it doesn't do to keep swapping barrels and sights about so my second CP2 was set up as a long barrel target rifle.
    The long barrel does increase velocity considerably and hence better for longer range. The carbine barrel should work nicely at shorter ranges. You may see the difference between long and short between 15m to 20m. The pistol/carbine will certainly shoot 20m or more but the long barrel grouping tighter. The long rifle being so like makes it excellent for rats, they being not more than 35m away as a rule, massive power is not required but accuracy is, 7-8 ft-lb will do the job nicely.

    • @African-Budget-Pellet-Gunner
      @African-Budget-Pellet-Gunner  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jeff, I agree with you the CP1 handle is definitely nicer than the CP2 pistol handle. I think having a dedicated rifle or pistol is probably the best way to go but not always possible. Longer barrel definitely groups a little better than the short barrel

    • @jeffslade1892
      @jeffslade1892 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@African-Budget-Pellet-Gunner Fitting the CP1 handle was not that easy but only cost a fiver (120R?) on eBay but then a CP1 and CP2 barrel+silencer a lot more (airguns, barrels and silencers are restricted sales here, through RFD, registered firearms dealer. I found I wanted both and to get both meant two CP2. In hindsight, get the CP2 and long barrel it then a CP1/M and use the spare pistol barrel and get an extra silencer through RFD.
      It's only those items but a silencer is not that cheap and if bought online has to be delivered through local RFD, typically with a £25 surcharge.

      @@African-Budget-Pellet-Gunner there's also if it is are going to be a pistol then let it be a pistol. There are few to none CO2 target pistols out there other than Crosman and the CP1/CP2 (can you think of any?). The CP1 fits the hand with its target grip but has a single stage trigger. The barrel counter balance weight is good but they forgot to provide a silencer fitting

      Hi Brett, the crosman kit is great but to be honest if you put the crosman 2240 and the chaser head to head the chaser will come out on top everyday of the week. Just hasn't been around as long as the crosman. Check in with Nibs at walnut and steel he has both in many different configurations, I am sure he would also go with the chaser😉

      Hi Paul, on my chaser both sides of the moderator unscrewed easily, but it seems like the moderator laws in some countries are very strict, in these countries, the moderators are assembled using loctite. The only way to loosen this is with heat, but you need to be very careful otherwise you may damage the moderator
