We NEED SSX TRICKY back in some sort of playable format! Now THAT game was mental. I liked the fact that they had actual tracks and it wasn't a "nature Vs you" vibe you get on this game. The best part about tricky was how insanely ridiculous everything was. How colourful, full of humour, silly and goofy it all was. The music was fab too.
Yes! Especially since SSX 3 is sooo nice on new Xbox consoles. I’d just want them to give us Tricky in the same way, maybe it’s a music license issue I dunno but I’m desperate to get back to Tricky 🙏
Ssx 3 is one of my all time favorite games, but i was pretty disappointed with this entry. The core gameplay was still there, but the death mountains and terrible rewind feature resulted in me trading it in a week after i bought it lol. I played it a few years ago for the dlc and it only made me wish that they would have gone more of the traditional route of the previous entries.
I bought it for full price upon release, I remember being so angry at these death mountains. I have now ordered it again, gonna try and see if its better in 2022 when I have finessed SSX 3 once again on XB One.
Older games are easier to bump the resolution up on. Newer games are far more demanding. That being said, there should technically be enough overhead to achieve the same result for Xbox 360 games as for Original Xbox games.
Tricky is my favorite, the personality of it and how it’s like Mario Kart on snowboards. Playing split screen with my brother was so magical. But having said that SSX 3 is a perfect extension to Tricky for me. Tricky is my favorite but I loved going from there to the epic mountain SSX 3 has. It’s hard to directly compare those two games, I need em both. They’re almost like different food groups on the same plate. But if I had to live with only one it would always be Tricky, I just love the formula and personality and over the top stages. But SSX 3 is a masterpiece is it’s own right. But since we are lucky 🍀 to have such a great upscaled version on Xbox I’d do anything for them to give SSX Tricky the same thing, just bring us the original back the same way as SSX 3. But maybe it’s the music license or something with Tricky. I unlocked everything I wanted to on SSX3 on my Series S but it only made me even more hungry to go back to Tricky. I guess I should just hook up the old PS2 again, still own the PS2 copy thank god. I’m giving this 2012 version a go but it’s already feeling off. The announcer and stuff is nice but the actual game doesn’t feel right 😬
Not a bad game! Played it the other week again after years! SSX on tour was also decent (that had skis and snowboard) Sled storm was also a blast (ps1 and ps2) same characters and music etc!
I love this game,every single run is awesome. I play it untill today sometimes on ps3..sad that they dont make a new one...i think this is the best SSX...put your impulse glasses on and destroy the Tracks...dont cry.
I still think Microsoft should take away the rare diamond achievement and make it more rare, like the platinum trophy earn it after all other achievements. I understand why it's different but it would be cool for people who like to 100%
The rarity thing is fine as is, but they should rework the system to have a completion "platinum" and some other more advanced unlocks. Maybe another tier of rarity that's super high up or something.
I play this on Series S and I have Tricky on the GameCube. I guess I'm the only one who thinks this game is near perfect. I hated it in the beginning because I sucked but as I learned the controls the tricks are super satisfying and better than tricky.
SSX3 is my all-time favorite. I still even have the game. SSX tricky is second. If I ever get a PS2 again, I'm going to boot SSX3 back up. I would like to see another SSX game again if they ever made one again. At least return it back to the original roots like Tricky and 3 was.
@@Skycaptin5 the only true difference between this game and the old games are that the old games are easier and less death defying more for casual play but SSX2012 is legit like point break as a snowboarding game it’s supposed to be intense and waay more rewarding you’ll feel way more sense of accomplishment if you play SSX2012 vs SSX3 even tho 3 is easier and more about the fun factor SSX2012 let’s you do stuff like wingsuit through the Alps deadly descent with no armor bringing survivability to 19% and doing the entire run in 1:27 seconds without crashing rewinding or loosing combos and that’s simply not possible in the old games and doing something like that will give you as much sense of pride and accomplishment as that of beating a dark souls game just because a game is hard doesn’t mean it’s terrible and for reals SSX2012 is like point break in a video game
@@Skycaptin5 agree to disagree I guess because I personally think it brought the franchise to epic proportions and to places people weren’t skillful enough for so they hated it because they sucked how would that not be true it’s simply a harder game
I remember that this game was a train wreck since it was announced. When they showed the trailer on the Video Game Awards, it got a lot backlash because they were going for this "hardcore" vibe. No color, the music different, it felt like the Bomberman Act Zero of the SSX franchise. They did some course correcting, but the foundation was already built and they could only do so much. What a shame, that was the final nail on the coffin of EA BIG

I was shocked how ass quality the visuals are on the series x, this deffo needs a 4k fps update.

The only ssx I played is on ps2 good game.

Sadly this game no longer works or gets past the main menu unless you have the disc digital owners got screwed
