    I happened across your videos. Shortly later I had a job opportunity. At that point I subscribed to your channel and watched several videos. I used your advice and study them. End result? Not only did I get the job but they informed me I knocked the interview out of the park

    I liked how u put on a positive note to that statement, "if you don't get hired, it probably would've not work anyway..." -- I always assure myself to not get my hopes up during interviews bcuz if ever I get hired and ended up not liking the job few months later, I could've regret it.

    Thank you for your advice. Don’t be afraid to be genuine during interview and show your personality. I think a lot of them will know if you are overly rehearsed.

    Genuine energy and a love for what you do. Also communication skills. Those help too.
    I recently went through an interview process. I was nervous which is natural but I also felt comfortable.
    You helped out immensely.
    They made a great offer which I accepted.

    I actually work in a call center for Altice USA aka Optimum aka Cablevision, a popular internet and cable company, and what you say is spot on. They change their requirements constantly, sometimes they want us fast but average customer service... sometimes the opposite! When it used to be Cablevision and they were getting ready to sell the company to these miserable SOBs who own it now, they had us focused on great customer service no matter how long it took. They called it the 'road to 70' meaning a high NPS score (net promoter score) of 70... only the best rated companies like Amazon have that. As soon as the new folks took over, that went straight down the toilet. Now we must rush customers off the phone FAST at any cost so they can save money, or risk getting fired. Including hanging up on them. So if you get hung up on, it's because you're costing them time and they need to hit their numbers.

    Yeah, it’s the hidden values/criteria that always makes me scratch my head. In one interview I had a long time ago, I tried my best to “sell” my skills and work ethic, but nonetheless they sent me a “thank you but we’re not interested” email three months later. And they never told me what about me that turned them off. Oh well.
    Anyhow, the lesson I learned was that: it was the universe’s way to keep things away from me if they don’t serve me. That way we can make space for a way better opportunity for us.

    I enjoy your videos! Can you please tell me what would the proper response be when an interviewer asks a question you truly don’t know the answer to? For example: if the interviewer asks a technical question that you are unsure of the answer, what would the best response be? Thanks!

    • @TheCompaniesExpert
      @TheCompaniesExpert  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, Tommy! There isn't a one-size fits all answer to that - depending on the situation or type of question. However, two common options: You can either say essentially "I'll look into that question and get back to you", or you can fall back to the default tactic of explaining how you meet one or all of the job requirements as stated in the job posting.
