- Using 1.5 Radiesse Dermal Filler for cheeks and 1ml Restylane Dermal Filler under eyes.
(0.75ml Radiesse and 0.5ml Restylane per side)
Post video taken 3 weeks after treatment. Results last approximately 12 months.

Belotero Balance worked great for me under the eyes. The plastic surgeon told me Belotero Balance was his favorite under the eyes because it is very thin, doesn't give you the Tyndall effect, and its very forgiving and easy to spread out.
Yes, Belotero is a good product for under eyes. I like classic Restylane for the same reasons.

Lots of docs in Denver do this, but it looks like she's pretty gentle and does a pretty good job.

How deep do you go to deposit the product? I’ve heard the deeper the better and certainly beneath the muscle. I’ve heard going to the bone and even subperiosteal creates a more natural appearance. .

Hi Laura, I recommend finding someone (MD, NP, PA, RN) that has at least 5 years of daily experience. They should have extensive knowledge in all FDA Approved dermal fillers and be able to educate you on which would be best for your areas of concern. They should also know the limits and be able to keep results looking natural. They themselves should also look natural.

i do think if you use atraumatic needel to inject the Radiesse under the zygomaticus you will have Beter Resultats and will keep it longer . radiesse musst injekted deep and maybe the use of belotero or juviderm volume is much better... radiese is a Great product but dose not give alot of volume.....best regardes

thank you! Injection depth depends on product choice and area treated. I layer the filler depending on the area. Radiesse I keep deep and Restylane into the reticular dermis.
How can you trust who’s doing it won’t mess up your face. I have heard horror stories. I’m in Chicago would you recommend or know of anyone who is good in Chicago? Your so good. You did a GREAT job. I wish I could have you help me, I see your in California though 🙁
Hi Tammy, there are great injection specialists out there. Simple tips to find a good one: 10 years experience, at least 5 specializing in complex areas like under the eyes. Specialists should have a broad knowledge of all dermal fillers and not just one brand. If the injection specialist looks unnatural.. they will make you look unnatural. Take your time with fillers, have them done slowly, layered over time.. if you feel like you are being pressured or sold.. you probably are not the right place.

Hi there, yes, SOOF layer for tear trough restoration. Reticular dermis and subcutaneous layer for the cheek restoration. Using a layering process. Not a bolus.

Hi there, I highly recommend not having this done with someone that is uncomfortable or inexperienced doing the procedure. For under eye restoration, I recommend the injection specialist have at least 10 years experience of doing dermal fillers every day and at least 5 years experience doing under the eyes. Under the eyes is the most technical area on the face.

I love the precision of needles. I’ve been injecting with needles since 2006 and feel so much more comfortable with them. For the delicate skin above the orbital ridge, I feel needles are needed to deliver the tiny, precise aliquots of filler.

Hi Nikki, if done right with the right product, results can really help reduce the look of puffiness and shadows. Important to know that if the area is overfilled or a product that is too hydrophilic is injected it can create puffiness.

Oh yes! Numbing for sure. We vessel map, numb and alcohol prep skin before the treatment.

I prefer classic Restylane for tear troughs. Radiesse would not be good for a delicate area like under the eyes.

Yes, we do a BLT cream prior to injecting. Also, each syringe comes with a small amount of lidocaine in them.

Hi Katy, dermal fillers are done best when there is volume loss. It is possible to have volume loss without having dark circles. If you have fine lines under eyes, fillers would be a good choice only if volume loss is noted. Another option is microdosing (Botox, Dysport or Xeomin) around the (orbicularis oculi) eye muscle.
The skin under our eyes is the most delicate skin on our body. Be careful not to stretch the skin when doing activities like putting on makeup, washing face.. etc. At night, lather your face in Jojoba oil. Your skin will love you for it!

It’s actually very tolerable. This was her first time getting fillers. Topical numbing put in treated area before injections and lidocaine with in the syringes for extra comfort.

Hi June, I prefer a needle for precision. With a needle I can place tiny threads of filler in the exact position and exact depth required.

How do you do vessel mapping and do most providers do that? I understand that that is very important.
Hi Gigi, extensive vascular knowledge is very important when injecting dermal fillers. Because there are so many variations with facial anatomy, we can’t solely rely on textbook anatomy. To detect the variations and see what’s going on below the skin, tools like vein finders and dopplers really help. Mapping vessels prior to injecting reduces risks and bruising. 👍🏻👍🏻
