While Germany does get pretty cold sometimes, I can guarantee you that is Germans are the biggest bitchboys when it comes to cold. We‘ve got heating everywhere and the longest distance we take outside in Winter is the walk from our front door to our car.

You know I lived in Spain for a month for a study abroad. Their biggest meal was lunch, they took time between around 2-5 PM (1400-1700, if I remember correctly) to take a short 30-min to 1 hour nap, most of their meals consisted of carbs, they had bakeries up and down the street, tobacco shops were just as popular as bakeries, beds weren't particularly strange, alcohol was cheap, water was bland, ketchup is sweeter, and more. But it was these things that make the country unique. I didn't go to Spain just so I could view America, just with a little harder level of comprehension. I visited and studied there so I could understand their culture. Why the hell do people travel to countries and whinge that it's not like home. That's what makes it unique because you will never get to experience that at home again, until you travel to that country or a country similar. So stupid.

What do you mean the AC was too cold? Stepping into a nice cool building when it’s fucking hot outside is in my opinion one of the greatest feelings I’ve ever experienced.
I remember one brutally hot day in Brisbane when the lovely air-conditioned train pulled into my station, the doors opened and BAM! I was hit by a wall of heat like I was stepping into a blast furnace. As we didn't have air-conditioning at home I got back on the train and rode it back and forth for about two hours until it cooled down a bit outside. It was sheer bliss.

Really? Im a german who lived in Australia and one of the most common complaints I got to hear from my many travelling compatriots were the "weird bedsheets" and the "AC being too cold".

@@gravyz2cute4u We don't (usually) have AC in Germany even though it gets up to 40° C. (104° F.) in summer. I know, that's pretty absurd but Germans believe in this thing called "Zug". They are afraid that cold air blowing would give them an instant cold and/or sore throat. It's a cultural thing. We hate the cold but we are quite ok with very hot temperatures (at least we delude ourselves to be) and we always complain about cold AC in planes, buses, hotels, especially in America but apparently also in Australia.

As an Aussie who lives in Germany, most Germans dont have a bed sheet, just the one that covers the Matress and a Doona or a thick blanket. They do it this way, because their houses are so fuckin overheated that they dont need,em. Naturally they think we over do it with the Aircon cause they need to have their houses heated to 25 degrees all the freakin time. Try opening a window for fresh air and the whole freakin household erupts.

Not necessarily. I know quite a few people from central and northern Europe (germanic speaking countries), including myself, who taught themselves to sound like an english speaking native. It's not that hard to overcome your accent (though silly). The way she exaggerates the pronunciation and uses wrong names like "water with gas" tells me that she is clearly not a native english speaker and probably still lives in Germany.

@@womanofsteel2200 What are you on about? In ALL of Germany people use a single Duvet covered by a single enclosed (zipper or buttons) sheet. That's never tucket under the mattress like she correctly described the australian system. In countries like America, Australia, even Spain people use the seperate sheet system where a "naked", thin sheet may be tucked in. No hotel I have ever been to in Germany uses the non-german version. Lunch is the largest meal in almost all families in Germany. Don't know how different Austria really is to us but judging by your comment it sure seems very different.

In England i grew up with 2 sheets and blankets always tucked in and i still do it. In the summer if its warm enough thats all i have just two sheets.and ive been on this planet 70 years now

I can still detect the german, I m german too and you can't escape the german accent when speaking English...But I think she also grew up with TH-cam considering her age so its less audible than with older Germans etc

Yes i know CO2 is a gas. I live in Switzerland, and there we say mineral water for water which is mineral water from natural springs which is carbonated. We have natural mineral water also which is not carbonated. When you are in a restaurant here and you order mineral water you get asked if you want it with or without gas. I used to live in Sydney before so i know what people drink there.
