These are INCREDIBLE. I bought a pair of these back at the start of the year and never got another pair of earbuds. They’re discreet, USB C so I carry around a single type of cable. The onboard storage means I don’t need my phone on me to use but I rarely use them like this. I had a bit of ear fatigue at first but my ears got used to having these in for longer periods of time
Nice and very informative video. I've been looking at these headphones for a while but the price at the time was $200. Idk if I want to loose $200 for an okay experience but I think it's cheaper now. I’ve just bought them yesterday, I’m happy with them, the only issue I’ve had is that , sometimes not always, when I play a video the audio is delayed for a sec, so it can be annoying watching a whole video like that... out of that they work pretty well, they’re perfect, and if you workout at the gym or just go for a run they are perfect, I’ve try them for two days and no problems with them, one of the things that I like the most of them, is that they have their own storage that’s fantastic because you can workout without carrying the phone.
Hey Thao, another great informative video. I actually had these and sent them back to Samsung because of the sound getting so low on them. I think it was something to do with screen filter. When I purchased them they didn't come with screen filter replacements. They never sent me another pair. They told me item was discontinued and refunded my money. Ducks because I did really like them and was hoping the low sound issue could've been resolved. I just heard they passed a new pair through the FCC called Samsung Buds. So hopefully these new ones will be better. Thanks again for more Great Content.
I didn't realize till today that the sales staff gave me this product as a gift when i bought my s9+ last year. Prolly one of the best gifts I've received given that i do long distance running on the track.

Get Jaybird if you want better sound. Get iconx 2018 if you want real wireless free feeling. I tried and didn't like iconx going back to my Jaybird X3.
I have i think the 2012 icon x and love them especially when I go to the gym have never had them fall out when on the running machine. The choice of having them connected to the phone or having songs downloaded on them so if you wanted to leave phone in locker is awsome.
the ability to transfer the music from the phone never worked for me. Not using a Samsung phone could be a reason but the real deal breaker for me was the sound quality. the bass for me was quite low hence choosing another one if. I find other options have the same performance level, then surely going to consider rebuying the iconx. And this lady is so beautiful !!
If you use an iPhone that is why, the Samsung phones have a chip that makes the sound better and the Samsung gear app is not on iOS so you cant transfer music from Your phone, but you can with a PC
i have a moto x4 as my daily driver and the only phone i have. To enhance the sound quality i use a third party music player which does show a significant difference.
I have them for quite a while now. Very happy. Fit is good, sound is acceptable, not super, but good enough. Battery life is really good, 1 to even almost 2 hours easily, case battery life not so good, it looses charge in a few days without using it. Bluetooth connection very good, no channel loss, no crackles. Overall, good but not excellent.
As a fellow user of blokada (great app btw) you might want to check out the app "AutoNotification" in the play store. You can use it to get rid of that pesky persistent notification that blokada uses to keep itself in system memory and avoid being killed off by ram management. Even though the app will block the notification, it will continue to work normally. It can also be used to clear other persistent notifications like the ones the gear fitness band/watch keeps in your shade while connected to your phone.
Your videos are super cute! I love how honest you are too about the sound quality too. I wanted to stay with the Samsung brand so this helped me make a decision for sure.
I had the first gen IconX in blue and they fit amazingly and never had them fall out at the gym. The only downside to the original IconX was the battery life as getting only 1hr 15-30min of music playback on a charge was the major reason I sold them. The IconX 2018 has supposedly double the battery life then the originals.
I just got mine a couple days ago and love them. Used them for almost a full 10 hour shift charging 10 min here 5min there every now and then and the battery was still high by the end of the day. Glad I didn't get a cheaper alternative, the onboard storage is also super useful.
Better late than never. I've been wanting a pair of these to go with my S9 and Gear S3. Thanks for the review that just made me want to go get them even more now. 😘😍😜
That's a good review, thx. I don't recommend to buy these, they do have a factory defect and I live and bought mine early when launched in mexico. I returned my pink ones 3 times and I wore them for sports. My box didn't come with the brush, they offered it at the service center. Anyway the 3 pairs failed after weeks. And in the center I could see it was not only the pink ones but any color. The concept is great but it's not worth it if you can't actually listen to music. I got my money back and was thinking to buy b&o e8 or jabra elite active 65t but this new truly wireless tech has a long way too go as all of them I tried have connectivity issues. So back to the just "wireless" and choosing again jaybirds, this time the freedom 2. Sincereley I wish you all good luck with yours. For me it was a nightmare.
+David Yoho, Yes and No, If you have a Samsung Gear Smartwatch with LTE, you can make calls, send an S.O.S, or even from your watch while your phone is at home, while you are at the gym or running. You can even store music on the watch and play them on regular bluetooth headphones.......so people have already been running/working out without their phones while listening to music, and still being able to make/receive calls/texts.

Hey, today i noticed that one earbud was louder and i saw that the grill was off🤔 so i took the grill off the other headphone and they are SO loud now😄 but besides that bass sounds good when you adjust the sound quality bass to the lowest and also change the bass on the wearable gear app👌
If charging issues are fixed they're great. I had a pair and charging stopped in one side and couldn't sync. Only downside I had. Best at gym. But other have better sound. They're cheaper than most wireless. Prob best wireless ear buds for price and what you get.
I'm planning to buy the Note 9, if i get the IconX on discount with the phone purchase i will definitely go for it and also getting the new Galaxy Watch too
I see that you have totally moved over to Samsung products now. Do you think that you will ever go back to the iPhone as a daily driver or just as a review unit to compare between different phones? Also I was blessed with an extra pair of SGIX (2018) because Amazon messed up on my delivery. For those who have small ear canals these earbuds will not work because they will not fit flush within the ear canal & therefore it is hard for them to remain in the ear while active, I know because my wife had this issue. Samsung or a third party company needs to make different style wing tips such as, the one that has the hook on them that can lock into the ear canal like the Jaybird Run's. All in all, I like my SGIX (2018)'s & feels good to have two pair to switch between.
I love my Macbook Pro and IPad Pro, I dont see myself moving away from those anytime soon. I'm taking a break from iPhones to explore android for now. Still contemplating if I should grab the iPhone XS Max just for comparison purposes. I'll be picking up the Pixel 3 when that drops to test out stock android. Glad you're enjoying the IconX!
I got them 1 week ago. They are good but I've 2 problems they hurt my ear after an hour or 2. Other problem is when playing games or TH-cam sound delays like 0.5 sec and it gets annoying but u can fix it by restarting your phone . Over all experience is great love the low profile :)
Good review. Loved these earphones, but after a month the right earbud of mine died out. Samsung refused to help even though they were under warranty. Totally disappointed. I would not recommend these and you should read some of the problems online before buying them.
i'm currently using my apple airpods on my samsung s8, which works very well and pairs very easy! I am very curious for the icon x for they are more water/sweat resistant! also they have more options to customize! another great video!
Great review found ur channel yest watched the Samsung videos subbed n hit notifications. For me selling feature is not falling out my ear in workouts. I do crossfit n beats over ear when I sweat fall a lot super annoying. I have an older gear the s2 do u recommend getting the iconic x first or watch?
I always use them individually to work. As there are no sidewalks where I live so we walk and share the road with cars. Very dangerous, so was happy that it works with only one earbud.
Any drops in connection? Still on the fence between the Jabra 65T and this one. I tried one of the demo units but the samsung store was so uptight they had the buds on a short leash and would not take them off. ridiculous...
I use mine primarily in standalone mode, but have run into no connection issues when I have used them over Bluetooth with the Note 9. I’ll probably do a follow up video in a few more weeks if any issues pop up.
With iPod it drops 20+ times a day on the way to work. With my galaxy phone, no drop out. I have all my music on the iPod unfortunately. The iPod has longer battery life.
Good review. Though I find then to be very pricey. Way better alternatives out there for the cost and better sound quality. I had Klipsch wired earphones, but have moved on to headphones now which are way more comfortable for me. Wonder if you'll try some Comply foam ear tips with the IconX. They are foam plugs that contour to your ear. The plastic/silicon buds that come with earphones always irritated my ears and these were nice when I had them.

Does yours beep incessantly when you just move about in your everyday life (the same sound that chimes when you first put them in your ears)? I find this happens to me quite often, and I'll have to remove the ear buds/wipe the sensor, and reinsert them into my ears. Even if the ear buds haven't shifted in my ears at all, it appears to think I'm taking them on and off...
I have kinda the same problem, but I think it's just moving around In my ear. I mean, it's still in but I don't think the sensor can tell, which is annoying.
Have had trouble with low audio on one of my buds, the right one. Had to do an warranty claim. Now before I sent them off over clean the buds and my ears just to be sure. No difference. I got the new pair. Maybe 3 week pass. Note it's the left one. Idk.
@@agskeete I think everyone has issues with the left one, when I read the complaints on the Samsung community forum. My boyfriend has issues with the left one. I used to, but now it's both LOL. This was a waste of money for us. That's $400 total for this crap.
Got this back in spring when it was $200, had it for a month, and it didn't work out well, the left ear bud would slowly lose it volume, even cranking the volume wouldn't work, the right ear bud function well, refunded mine, after 2 months when I returned mine, price dropped. If you're lucky, you got a good functioning iconx, but if not, well it's up to you.

How is your experience in 8months battery backup is good and how long it will take battery backup if I want listen music
Any drops in connection? Still on the fence between the Jabra 65T and this one. I tried one of the demo units but the samsung store was so uptight they had the buds on a short leash and would not take them off. ridiculous...
I use mine primarily in standalone mode, but have run into no connection issues when I have used them over Bluetooth with the Note 9. I’ll probably do a follow up video in a few more weeks if any issues pop up.

With iPod it drops 20+ times a day on the way to work. With my galaxy phone, no drop out. I have all my music on the iPod unfortunately. The iPod has longer battery life.
Gear iconx 2018 got alot of problems and wont even last a year
Good review. Though I find then to be very pricey. Way better alternatives out there for the cost and better sound quality. I had Klipsch wired earphones, but have moved on to headphones now which are way more comfortable for me.
Wonder if you'll try some Comply foam ear tips with the IconX. They are foam plugs that contour to your ear. The plastic/silicon buds that come with earphones always irritated my ears and these were nice when I had them.

For the cost there are still way better companies/alternatives for sound. I prefer wired over BT. But that's my preference.

@@karangurung6206 very sure. In fact the first set I got didn't get a brush. Then those went bad. Left side went dead. Samsung warranty for the next with a brush.
Does yours beep incessantly when you just move about in your everyday life (the same sound that chimes when you first put them in your ears)? I find this happens to me quite often, and I'll have to remove the ear buds/wipe the sensor, and reinsert them into my ears. Even if the ear buds haven't shifted in my ears at all, it appears to think I'm taking them on and off...
I have kinda the same problem, but I think it's just moving around In my ear. I mean, it's still in but I don't think the sensor can tell, which is annoying.
Have had trouble with low audio on one of my buds, the right one. Had to do an warranty claim. Now before I sent them off over clean the buds and my ears just to be sure. No difference. I got the new pair. Maybe 3 week pass. Note it's the left one. Idk.
@@agskeete I think everyone has issues with the left one, when I read the complaints on the Samsung community forum. My boyfriend has issues with the left one. I used to, but now it's both LOL. This was a waste of money for us. That's $400 total for this crap.

Got this back in spring when it was $200, had it for a month, and it didn't work out well, the left ear bud would slowly lose it volume, even cranking the volume wouldn't work, the right ear bud function well, refunded mine, after 2 months when I returned mine, price dropped. If you're lucky, you got a good functioning iconx, but if not, well it's up to you.
