So in the case of the sea 70 of this generation, it will crank and crank, correct? I ask is I've seen some videos or doesn't even crank but it was with other Volvo models. I've been having intermittent starting issue with my 02 with 33,000 miles. I have a fuel pump relay on order as that's a culprit that affects these cars too, but I heard the fuel pump run this time around but it didn't start until after my fourth attempt at cranking.
Daan Muller I have almost the exact same problem right now. Sometimes the car starts but dies right away, sometimes it doesn‘t start at all, sometimes everything is fine. I hope replacing the antenna ring will solve my problem as well...

in my case, the antenna ring (Volvo part no 9442961) was crappy. after replacing it with a new one, all was fine.
