Getting along well on the 3rd reef! Looks like the reefing nettles are tied around the boom, they shouldn’t be, it’s a loose-footed rig. Or, perhaps it just needs more outhaul, to flatten the sail more, and get rid of those baggy wrinkles? More downhaul, too?
Going to weather on this tack the foreward part of the sail is more like a brake than a push because of the mast, isnt it?. Does is not bother you? Beautiful little boat and a great day...
This boat was built and sailed by Jeff Davis of Seattle. As far as I know, he didn't post anything about the build. He's on Facebook if you want to reach out to him.
Please tell me they're not wearing a mask.... omg please tell me its not someone wearing a mask. Do they not feel how windy it is!??!?! Nothing can sit in one spot, not even hie boat! This is hilarious.

What a superb boat, just goes to show, if a skipper is in tune with their vessel they can take her out in weather that money can't buy.
Don’t need money to get that weather here in NZ. That’s just a zephyr in Wellington!😉
Still a great little boat.
What a wonderful sailboat!
A brave little ship.
Incredible.
That looks like great fun!
Nice windy day for a sailboat. I was thinking about how a beach catamaran would have been screaming along.

I prefer the "San Francisco Pelican'' designed a long time ago by Bill Short

that boat not 1st choice for round-the -world, but fun is built in.
Did you by chance do a build blog of this boat? I'd love to discuss some design elements I see and admire with you.

Is the guy wearing a Covid mask? What is wrong with people?
Watching to much news from the wrong source.
Maybe it's to protect his face from the wind. It was in the winter after all.
It's clearly for the wind and sun.
I think the problem here is that you would notice or care.
@@crcr7659 When I see something abnormal, I notice. When I see society succumbing to mass hysteria, I care.
