For generations people have been forced to carry a pocket knife in their pockets, thank God someone finally changed that.

I wanted to try this but too many cons, glad they changed the SwissQlip so it is a little deeper carry but looks like there is still a hang up point. The "P7" key chain clip you showed is the best option IMO and it only costs one dollar. I've been using them for many years and love it as it allows the SAK to sit deeper in the pocket out of the way. Plus there is no risk of a screw coming loose and losing it. Thanks for sharing this though as it is good to see a company make this to try and fill a niche.

The new ones have a flat head screw, so you can tighten it up with the tweezers. Huge improvement.

It would be so easy for Victorinox to provide a pocket clip out of the box.

You did a good job showcasing the product and the effort that went into the design / manufacture of it. Definitely something I’d like to try. Thanks for sharing Ben.

I’ve just gotten used to carrying mine in my pocket. It bothered me at first but it’s not so bad now. Worst thing is all the stuff lint and gunk and sand that gets into the knife

Looks pretty sweet! I previously used a Nite Ize HipClip (adhesive pocket clip for small items with a flat surface: folding knife, SAK, power bank, etc.); works quite well.
    (Currently $7.52 on Amzn)

I've used that Nite Ize adhesive clip on my trekker as well and it works pretty good but is not deep carry and it is raised off the knife scale which has been annoying in the past when attaching to some of my pants. Now I just use a regular deep carry pocket clip off of a cheap Kershaw I had. I simply positioned the clip where I liked it on my one hand Trekker and marked the holes with a marker. I then used a drill bit that was slightly smaller then the screws that attached the clip to the Kershaw and drilled into the scale on the Trekker just through the scale but not into the metal housing beneath. Then I just screwed the screws into the scale. It worked great and is holding amazingly. I'm sure it's not as strong as being tapped into the metal but it has worked great for me.

If this had existed and worked for Alox models a dozen years ago, my SAK Cadet would never have stopped being my EDC! Dang. Never cared for the cheap feel of the plastic scales. Bit Alox Cadet or Farmer are great. I did use a P7 for awhile, but it's not a real pocket clip like I'd like, as you said.
Now I couldn't imagine not having my old green aluminum/satin Benchmade 940, I'd just never go without it.

  • @troyjenkins3886
    @troyjenkins3886 4 ปีที่แล้ว

They need to limit the space between the clip and scales, too much of a gap that looks like it can cause a lot of wiggle.I would replace the plastic tab with metal because if your like me,I use my SAK's multiple times a day and not sure how long it will hold up.All this being said, having the option of a clip makes SAK's that much more useful. Thanks for the content.👍

It’s a good idea but it’s just ridiculously expensive I’d want it to be made from titanium for the price. 10 - 15 would’ve been more reasonable. The only person that would buy one are people who carry SAKs everyday / and or really love saks

This works on the Fieldmaster & Huntsman?
Looks like the same as mine.
Anything thicker than 3/4" is commonly not wanted as a pocket knife.

not to take anything away from tec. they innovated so many great edc designs, but if you look up pocket suspension clip on ebay they sell them for a dollar or less depending on how many you order. the urban prepper recommended them in a vid.
im looking for a pocket clip for the victorinox spirit. i want to buy it instead of the leatherman wave plus BUT the wave plus just makes too much sense for what i need. ill end up with both.
i carry an alox cadet or pioneer, and a juice or skeletool so these wouldnt work for me.
im a pocket clip guy but recently ive been told to try out a leather slip...might fit my needs better

I really don't understand this Clip & Carry product for the 91mm SAK from Victorinox. Victorinox offers pouches, chains and even a clip themselves. There you don't have these problems with the screw, etc. 🤔

I would absolutely love this but NO WAY for $25. That price point is absurd for anything that is nothing more than a clip. I'm sure it's nice, I'm sure it required lots of technology to create, but when you can get a decent variety of great SAK's for that price range, no way I'm spending that on a clip. Everyone else, enjoy!

A humorously expensive solution for trend .. when did 14yr old girls start carrying SAKs?
It blocks tools, creates hot spots, adds weight and makes you print like you're carrying a tactical weapon knife - target acquired!
Quick access clips make sense on an emerson chisel not for a POCKET KNIFE it is like putting a "sniper" scope on a double barrel shotgun lol

Suspect you could even get a Nite Eyes mini biner through the top of that SAK clip if you wanted to put a backup lanyard on it so it doesn’t get lost out of your pocket or your pack. Then again, if you let the knife ride down in the bottom of your pocket like it was designed, you would lose it either.
