I think Sae just wanted Rin to start tapping into his potential. If you notice Isagi mentions that it seem like Rin finally reached a moment of awakening. Sae probably realized Isagi can bring out the genius in his brother and they can play again with Sae supporting his brother as a mid fielder
Begin a New Gen X Doesn't Mean You Have to be a Literal God On The Field Kaiser Is a New Gen X Because of He's Amazing At Shooting (He's Kaiser Impact) And Positioning Himself Through Metavision and Predicting Everything That's What Made Him a New Gen Sae Become One Because of He's Amazing Talent at a Young Age Both Are Talented Learner's Having The Same Level Of Vision And Thinking Capabilities So All Am Saying Sae Can Adapt Like How Isagi is Doing and Counter Rins Destruction And Chaos So it Would be a Endless Battle of Who can Break Free From The Other *"Adaption Vs Brute Force"*
Feats? Rin Narrative? Sae Playstyle? Sae Vision?Sae Dribbling? Rin Shooting? Rin Passing Sae Flow? Rin Based on feats? Rin Based on narrative? Sae Being a new gen 11 doesn't mean you're massively massively above the blue lockers of today we see this with kaiser in how isagi and him are rivals and massively relative to each other currently in the case of rin he destroyed the entire team of Bm and even isagi and kaiser just didn't think there was a way to beat him and it gets more insane because as of now rin kaiser and isagi are all relative and the best evidence you can use to show how current rin is likely better for now is the fact u20 destroyer rin was able to match sae 1v1 ultimately kicking the ball off him granted he said it's because he knew sae so well it's still very impressive because that rin scales below current rin so for now my pick is on rin.
I think it comes down to Sae being the more complete player. Sae is a Attacking midfielder with the finishing of the best strikers we have seen, dribbling of the best dribblers we have seen and arguably the best passing we have seen with incredible vision. I think you can argue Sae has better vision passing and dribbling then rin, only thing you can really argue is shooting.
@delta2370 vision? Sure I don't see a problem there Passing? Again not much to say Dribbling? Rin has shown more impressive feats in my opinion while sae's style is really good and all Rin's is better because of its unpredictability plus it took two meta vision users to just block Rin's shot not stop him 1v1 block his shot. One Meta vision user is already good enough but to beat two? Two of the best we've seen? That's top tier dribbling plus even without berserker state he passes 3 players effortlessly then dogs isagi and kaiser only to get stopped by hiori dribbling goes to rin.
@ fair tbh but still i don’t think the argument for sae is that he is dolinate over rin in any aspect of the game its just that his skillset is more complete as a player.
Sae vs Rin isn’t even a debate rn, Rin after going all out still said he wasn’t as good as Sae…. That alone stops any arguments until he does something more, also Sae has the 3rd best dribbling in the verse, rin isn’t beating people by pure dribbling, it’s a combination of many things in his destroyer mode.
@universalplayz7496 since it's so many things name 10 of em and second of all that statement is a legitimate knowledge claim you'd have to prove Rin knows current sae's full power plus you're basically saying kaiser a new gen 11 who should be on sae's level is miles below sae
......the only reason why rin beat sae in the end of the u20 game because it's a copy of isagi and bachira (season 1)being best friends and understanding him knowing he wouldn't pass to rin but go for gol himself and isagi doing the exact thing as rin and positioning himself to score If rin faced sae without knowing him he'd get cooked what bothers the most is how you don't take into consideration that sae wouldn't have grown months after the u20 game and losing it's bizarre and completely out of character for sae Plus we didn't even see a flow sae it's exact parallel to nagi starting to try he got a lil serious but didn't really go all out Sae just increased his level to force rin to evolve and enter his flow state by making feel despair and unlock his true nature Example Isagi doing the same to barou
Beat ? Seriously? That means isagi >> prince lol Isagi directly blocked chris shot but rin barely managed to throw the ball away because he knew what sae will use as he knows sae very well . Beating is when rin steals the ball right from sae foot. Rin directly stopped kaiser impact in base . Does that mean rin > kaiser ? Nah . Rin was in flow stat where he was going physical yet sae didn't even shake from rin strength. Rin was totally focused on sae (that's how he used flow on sae) and was unpredictable.with yet sae was totally managing and gave rin chance . He could have passed the ball and we all know sae doesn't even need a sec to make a move . He did without using meta vision or flow . And he was even holding back .
@isagiyoichi0 you think rin without knowing sae's dribbling style and play style he'd beat him the person who could stop sae was rin because he understands how sae thinks and plays and we don't even know sae trying at 100% He genuinely dropped one of the greatest match performances in blue lock with minimal effort and still blue lock barely managed to win then realized that a talented learner can beat a genuins(this is a double meaning) he still wants rin to be the best st in the world but slightly believes that isagi could prove him wrong about only genuises being the #1 with no competition
I wouldn’t say for sure that Sae was completely clear of Rin in terms of shooting. That shot Rin tried to replicate was simply to spite Sae. Saying if u can do it so can I. Sae is left footed, Rin is right footed. And Rin tried to one up his brother in his least dominant foot. Rin shot that shot with his left. I think Rin could definitely make it in the opposite side with his right foot. Maybe not to the same degree but considering how close it was with his left, I wouldn’t imagine him doing the same with his more dominant foot.
@OutlawTruth yeah so that means that that alone refutes the claim that sae has better shooting than rin as it negated due to it being a totally different shot and a lot more unfamiliarity
@OutlawTruth then what basis do you support that sae has better shooting than rin. Rin has been able to preform a lot more difficult shots requiring more skill. That feat alone is saes only shooting feat we've seen in the entire series, therefore, it refutes the entire claim that sae can not be considered a better shooter than rin due to a lack of information.
@@Koamzia i didnt say his shooting was better than rins, i said his OVERALL kicking abilities are better than rins. Sae isnt able to just shoot which he does at a national level, hes also able to make impossible passes and shows overall better kicking then rin in general.
Random thought but i can see Rin getting a major injury sometime soon. He's already new gen 11 level and head and shoulders above his peers minus isagi, and if the other blue lock elite strikers (bachira, barou, nagi, and shidou) are to get any shine in the upcoming story then rin has to go. I can see Rin getting sidelined for the u20 world cup matches (maybe until the final) to force some of the other players to evolve to compensate for the best player not being there. This would give nagi a chance to fully evolve, maybe force shidou and barou to become more team friendly, etc. Honestly i think 2 blue lock players need to be gone for the u20 arc to give other players room to shine, maybe Barou is the other. Barou seems complete enough (minus the anti teamwork thing) that the other players can have a growth arc and he could still slot in and be comparable to them.
im of the opinion that while rins likely has more solid feats, sae narratively needs to be above rin currently, if rin has already surpassed his brother then he no longer has much motivation to evolve and isagi is rlly js a placeholder for his evolution since hes relative, realistically whenever it is rin surpasses sae itll likely be made very evident by the author but thats js my take
i can completely see this, IMO its being shown that rin surpassing isagi is just as challenging as him surpassing sae as after the u-20 he actually sees him as a rival. Ofc this only applies to the level of Sae we've seen so far pretty much.
I don't think so. Something stuck out to me about Sae Ithoshi. That he cannot be the person to overcome Rin. His motivation was tied to being the second best Striker in the world compared to his brother. The only person who can beat Rin isn't someone who wants to defeat him. It can only come from someone who wants to be the best in the world. To win at all costs no matter who is in front of you.

If rin faced sae without knowing him he'd get cooked what bothers the most is how you don't take into consideration that sae wouldn't have grown months after the u20 game and losing it's bizarre and completely out of character for sae
