It's Friday again, and that means only one thing: we have a new TH-cam video for you! Today's subject is the guitar we mentioned in last night's Instagram post: the Squier Classic Vibe '70s Telecaster. We have a lot of love for this superb, affordable electric, and one quick listen to the tones achieved in this video, should quickly explain why.
A poplar body, maple C-profile neck together with a pair of excellent, articulate Fender-designed Wide-Range humbucking pickups, makes these guitars sound far more substantial than you might assume. Great aesthetics - with that Strat-style headstock, oversized pickguard and skirted amp knobs - adds some aesthetic flair to the whole package. And we played through some very serious gear here, too.
Plugging into a Fender 1964 Deluxe, with an upgraded Tone Tubby Purple Haze Alnico hemp cone speaker, the tones are rich, musical and chimey. Some classic drive is provided by the Vemuram Shanks, and since this is the slightly smaller, reverb-free Fender Deluxe, we added ambience using the Source Audio True Spring. All-in-all, a pretty fantastic palette of tones on display here, we reckon! Why not pop by our Denmark Street store to check out this guitar, our selection of amps, pedals and Tone Tubby speakers? I have this guitar and he is dead on. I own 4 fender telecaster's but this Squier tele is actually my favorite to play. Unbelievable bang for your buck with thisone.

Hey , I've not long bought the classic vibe 70s strat which I've had a full set up done , fret clean string height etc , it's a great guitar. But I'm now looking for something that is more metal based, would this be a good alternative? It's the opposite to a strat , different body shape, pick ups etc, any thoughts anyone 👍😎

How you doing mate? I like the way you played that Squier. I have a Squier 60's classic vibe stratocaster that I bought in 2019 and I've been looking at this guitar and the, Squier classic vibe thinline '70's natural telecaster with the pearloid pickguard which also comes with humbuckers. I put a little 59 Seymour Duncan humbuckers in my strat but it doesn't sound like I wanted too. I also don't want or can't buy pedals. I'm just looking for the natural tone.
