I think crows are good parents. My brother found a little crow lying on the ground in his backyard. He took it to the animal control Department.
After that my brother noticed it's parents kept flying above his backyard looking for their baby, so he called the Department to try to get the little crow back to its family, but he was told that the bird was euthanized.
For 4 days, the crow parents had been searching for their baby.
After 2 years, I watched TH-cam and found that many little crows try to learn to fly too soon and end up falling down the tree. The expert said put the bird into a cardboard to avoid cats and dogs attacks, and give the bird water and food as needed, and wait a few more days for the birds to grow strong enough to get back to its nest.
I know that many birds don't look for their lost babies, but crows looked for their baby for 4 days, very touching.

Euthanised?? What was the point to rescue and taking it all the way to animal department just to get it killed next day. It might had better chances on ground as "unrescued" if parents could locate it and fed it for one or two more days.

@@garavsg8154 We thought that the Animal Control Department would give the baby bird medical treatments, that's why my brother called the Department to see if the bird had been healed and well enough to get back to its parents.

Many people don’t know that baby birds, aka fledglings live on the ground for a few weeks once they leave the nest before they can fly. It is safer than the nest surprisingly one reason is if a predator were to find the nest it could kill them all at once where as the babies could be in different bushes. The parents keep them hidden in bushes and feed them then they soon can fly. This isn’t common knowledge. one way you can tell if it’s a baby waiting for the parents on the ground or a hurt adult crow is if it has blue eyes or not. Baby crows have blue eyes. Also if it has no feathers then it should till be in the nest (and try to put it back in the nest). If it has some then it is suppose to be on the ground

This is so sad... A couple of years ago, we had a great tit family in our backyard living in a wall. They had 4 lovely babies. One day, I came home and my dog, who was still a puppy back then, was sleeping on my bed with two of the baby birds. Turns out the babies were learning how to fly but ended up on the ground and my dog took them in because he is a big softy (this is when I understood how my mom felt when I kept bringing stray cats home when I was a child lol). We put them in a box and were planning to take them to the vet but we noticed that the parents were looking for them on the ground. We decided to put them back in the garden and 4 hours later, the babies were gone with their parents :) I'm glad that my dog took them in since my neighbors have a cat but he was heartbroken when the birds left. We got him a parrot a month later and now they are best buddies haha.

This is proof that even though crows are known for snatching other baby birds or eggs out of other bird's nests, and brutally eating them, they too have responsibility of parenthood. They have their own chicks to feed, they aren't monsters they're just doing what they have to do to survive and provide resources for their young. If that means being brutal and and hunting other baby birds, or other small helpless animals, then so be it.

So cute I love crows, I have a little birds nest on my wreath that's hanging from door . The nest is tiny the birds are the size of Canary's don't know what they are , I enjoy watching the babies grow in another week they will be leaving the nest gonna miss seeing them every morning . Hard to say goodbye but they are free birds, I hope they survive, only two eggs out of five hatched.

It would be great if you can shoot the bird along with babies in the nest and share the same with us so that all our viewers, bird lovers can enjoy watching it. You cn fix a phone with flight mode, next to the nest or you can use any good camera to record it.

I leave food out for my crows, a huge pile at least once a week of their favorites (unsalted peanuts, cashews, etc). They still cry for more. Crows are just gonna crow. They love food and have high metabolism. They need almost a pound of food each per day to survive. And even more in winter or bad weather because they have to keep warm. 💗
