That was a huge meal for that chick. It probably didn't eat for a couple of hours but I bet by the fifth hour it was starving. Baby birds have voracious appetites and fast metabolism.

No one had to wait. The bird was hungry again if you watch the video. I think that the bird was just tired and sleepy rather than in discomfort. Of course I can't myself imagine eating these insects because it looks like they could be poisonous.

Baby bird isn't dying anytime a baby bird gets big meal they ALL act like that really tired like. They have a tube like thing in their tongue which is how they breath even with something large in their mouth. He was fine.
