I installed a ATOTO S8 double din in my 2006 Ford F150. Along with a backup camera and dash cam. I love it. I haven't figured out the android auto or car play yet. But I just use Bluetooth and play music off my phone. One of the best upgrades I've done to my truck. Wish I had done it sooner.
Im facing similar problems owning an LX470 with finding an Apple CarPlay solution. You at least have an aux input whereas i do not so I’d have to go through fm receiver which isn’t the best audio quality

Love the functionality for the price. Can it output to a factory stereo via Bluetooth? Or only FM transmitter and Aux?
What did you do with the ox cable besides plug it into the car? Where does the other end go?
Any better solution for power instead of the power outlet?
None that I’m aware of, I haven’t seen anyone hardwire a CarPlay screen like this
