I just installed this unit in my 2006 Land Rover LR3 and it is phenomenal. If you use the aux cable there is no static when the unit is off. If you play it through a radio station it is much louder, but before it boots up, you can hear the static. It is a great unit for the price!
Nice review! could you let me know if the car bluetooth controls work? As in once you connect the unit to the car bluetooth, can you use the car control to skip tracks?
Thank you for the nice comment! Glad you liked it :) Yes, you have to connect your phone to the Atoto unit, then you can use the remote control the Atoto comes with to skip, play/pause, forward and change the volume of music that's playing from your phone. I hope this helps :)
2:01 How do you get the SD card out after inserting? On my model the slot is located on the bottom horizontal side and I cannot figure out how to get it out.
@@andi How do you fix the formatting issue? I converted mine to FAT32 and it keeps popping up as needed to be formatted, I am currently unable to record videos with the dashcam.
@@andi No matter how much I format it on the screen, the message always appears again whenever I start the car, I have a samsung 256gb plus, I converted it to ExFat and see if it will fix the issue. I will update you with the information after I test it out.
@@RonLarios That is really strange sorry you’re getting this issue. Have you tried using a different SDcard to see if the same problem happens? Maybe that way you can isolate where it’s happening and then compare the file format or try the Samsung 256 one in another device and see if it works correctly. Let me know!
Can you connect external microphone? Or does it use phone’s microphone when output is set to stereo. I have the same unit and microphone is not good so trying ti figure out alternative.
The previous version came w/ an external microphone & long cable. They removed the mic port on the new one & only uses the shitty built in mic now unless you open it up & try to figure out how to add one. Instead of making it better & using android instead of Linux & giving us an HD 9in option they made it worse
I think it's scummy all positive features are covered to push people to buy hoping they use your affiliate links so the negatives aren't talked about. That said, how's the microphone call quality?
I personally would avoid this product, We wanted footage from the device and the SD card would not work with windows 10, and windows kept saying cycle redundancy check and wanted reformat the card. Its a night mare to get any actually footage from it after a bit of use. It has one job, to record potential problems on the road and its failed its main job for us.

Hey, on my model I am able to push it in and then it has a spring release mechanism that ejects it

Are you able to try and format it when that message comes up? If not you can check in the setting to format the card :) let me know if that helps!

You need to connect your Android phone either via USB or Bluetooth and use Android Auto. It will automatically be installed if it’s on your phone :)
