The blonde on the right is Morgan James. She's amazing. I second the suggestion to listen to her cover of Aerosmith's "Dream On." It's spectacular! th-cam.com/video/Yq4KA0mUnC8/w-d-xo.html
I had mentioned Morgan as another PMJ singer to check out on the Creep video. She's a powerhouse. Classically trained graduate of Juilliard, but is a soul singer in profession. Dream On is excellent, but personally I love the version of Maroon 5's "Maps". th-cam.com/video/8gO_lxThc1M/w-d-xo.html
I have to recommend her own channel as well. some of my favorites are her "Do Right Moman, Do Right Man" and "Oh Me Oh My" covers. But there's lots of other stuff
I completely agree with this. I think Morgan is the best female singer working in the United States right now. The recommendations of other commentators are right on the spot. But, right now during the Corona lock-downs, Morgan and her husband, guitarist Doug Wamble, are doing many cover songs which are being posted on Morgan's TH-cam channel. They are all really good and some are fantastic.
You're old enough that you might remember the actor Telly Savalas. The third female singer is his daughter, Ariana Savalas. She is a playful vamp with a live audience.
I can’t decide which I like better. Creep or Dream On. I can’t count how many times I’ve listened to both. Haley and Morgan are my two favorite adult female vocalists. Love Angelina too. My favorite young female vocalist. Morgan just sings the absolute Sh$t out of Dream on.
That's Morgan James, a slim girl with a voice that makes you wonder where she's hiding those other two lungs. PLEASE check out her cover of Aerosmith's 'Dream on', also with the PMJ. She does a solo cover of the entire Beatles' White Album that would make McCartney cry.
The blonde that blew you away is Morgan James, classically trained @ Julliard. She does an amazing job on Aerosmith's "Dream On", also by PMJ. You would like it.
The blond is Morgan A James she did a version of Sweet Child of mine with just the pianist on a visit to Paste Studios, it is well worth a look! She has worked on Broadway, attended Julliard where she studied opera. She and her husband Doug Wamble have done a series of covers (80 odd) while under lock down.
I love your reaction to Morgan James (blonde hair) as has already been said the duet she did with Haley of Dear Prudence is well worth watching. Also Ariana Savalas (red dress) is the daughter of the late great Telly Savalas aka Kojak! :)
PMJ Morgan James singing "Maps" (Maroon 5)/ "Dream on"/ "Take me to Church" Live NYC/ Morgan and Chris Broussard singing "Do Right Woman Do Right Man" The genius behind PMJ is Scott Bradlee the pianist ARRANGER
This video (the source) was my first exposure to PMJ, years ago... I've been to three concerts since, and gotten to meet Haley and Casey. They're both as cool as you think they are.
So I just saw your reaction to All About the Bass. I subscribed simply to comment and tell you that your reaction was great, and it is a shame you have not done more music reactions. I hope you do!
May I would suggest - for the ladies there - for Morgan James 'Dream On' or 'Take Me To Church'; for Ariana Savalas 'Bad Romance' or 'Criminal' or ''Hot Diggity'; for Hayley 'Seven Nation Army' - also I would recommend Sara Niemietz (another of my favourites) with 'Hey Ya' or 'Love Yourself' and also from the fellas: Cunio with 'Video Killed the Radio Star' .... I'll stop there because there are SO MANY AMAZING TRACKS! Enjoy!
Scott Bradlee does all the arrangements, & PMJ is his baby. Don’t miss out on “Crazy” (Gnarls Barkley) w/Hannah Gill & Casey Abrams, Take Me To Church w/Morgan James, and both Purple Rain & Old Town Road w/Miche Brayden. After that try Creep w/Haley, &, &, &...jump in w/both feet, ‘cause PMJ has a huge catalogue. Cheers!

Yep, the PMJ rabbit hole is a journey, such a great concept. I think you need this on your phone, because you grinned throughout and that is good for the soul these days. In addition to Dream On, Morgan does a great job with Maps by Maroon 5.
Hi just saw your cast of PMJ. Look up the following "creep" Hayle Rinheart. "take me to church" the blond girl sings. The bassist Cace Abraham singing "Stacy's mum". Seven nstions"Sung by Hayle Rineheart. Look up The Dead South singing "In Hell I'll Be In Good Company"
I'm glad you enjoyed it!! I have been listening to PMJ for a while and this is still one of my favorites. It was fun to watch your reaction and see your enjoyment. I also recommend you check out "Dream on", "Careless Whisper" "Stacy's Mom", and Puddles Piddy Party "All the small things". I never get tired of those.
Yes! Please dive down this rabbit hole. I have yet to see a reactor really truly dig deep into the PMJ vault. Some do a quick pass of Haley's songs and one or two others but haven't really dug deep further than that. Postmodern has a brilliant rotation of artists and musicians they work with and you will find so many talented men and women the world at large don't know much about but they are so worth the find. You probably would never have heard of Morgan James if you hadn't watched this video. Please go find more hidden jewels. I left you a starting list (paragraph really) on your Creep reaction. On a side note, the founder of postmodern jukebox, Scott Bradlee, dipped his toes in this taking modern songs and turning them vintage with his work on the video game Bioshock Infinite(2013). In the game, which takes place in the 1910s, holes in reality expose the residents to music from the future, the 1960s-1980s, which a musician of the game's era reimagine in their own musical traditions. The plot is more complex than that, and this was a minor point in the game, but Scott was the one who came up with many of those reimagined versions and then turned into a career. They include Girls Just Wanna Have Fun(?), Tainted Love, Happy Shiny People, Everybody Wants to Rule the World, and After You've Gone.
That, my good man, is Morgan James. Her catalogue is as impressive as Haley's and is definitely worth looking into. Her cover of Maps (Maroon 5) and Dream On (Aerosmith) are epic and you should absolutely check out Morgan and Haley covering Dear Prudence (Beatles).
Agree....sexy. Classy. To many girls today don’t understand sexy without being to revealing. Guys don’t always appreciate it. They are talented and wonderful.
Sara Niemitz is fantastic, flying under the radar too much. She always has the most fun and it's infectious. Her solo stuff is great, too, like her version of Jessie J.'s Price Tag is priceless
You've reached a major fork in this rabbit hole! From here, you can: 1. spend years going through PMJ's catalog. 2. stick with Haley's other collaborations with PMJ. 3. stick with Haley and enjoy her PMJ collabs, plus many "lo fi soul" covers of vintage R&R songs, plus a number of Haley's classy/sexy originals. 4. stick with Morgan James. 5. stick with Ariana Savalas. 6. stick with the song. This path will include Meghan Trainor's original AND a delightful all-male cover of this all-female song performed by the wonderful a cappella group Home Free. Warning: if you become a "Home Fry", that's another bottomless rabbit hole...no one gets out. 7. all of the above!
@@thulsakhan It's a tough call. All are good choices. I've divided my attention between Haley and Home Free. Haley does a beautiful cover of Can’t Help Falling in love. Morgan and Haley together do Dear Prudence. Morgan does every song on the Beatles White album. You just can’t pick a bad song with either of the fabulous ladies. Morgan trained for Opera at Juilliard. Haley grew up singing with parents that had a band. Been singing in front of an audience since she was young. There is a video of Haley singing Can’t Find My Way Back Home with her dad playing the guitar. Check all these out.
I've been a Haley fan for years. Her best idle performances were Benny and the Jets and a scat classic duet with one of her idol co-stars who plays the cello to this song Moanin"
The thing with PMJ is they feature LOTS of great singers. I first noticed the blonde (Morgan James) on this video and quickly became a fan of hers.
