Seven Nation Army By Haley is AMAZING as well. She by far my favorite
The first guy on bass is Casey Abrams who was on American Idol the same year as Haley. They performed together on the show and have since done several videos together. Check out their performance of "Can't Help Falling In Love" Casey plays piano. Morgan James, long blond hair, is Julliard School trained for opera but chose this path instead after graduation. Ariana Savalas is Telly Savalas' (TV show Kojak) daughter. You like that NOLA vibe, wait til you see 7 Nation Army total New Orleans Dirge. The dress Haley wears is New Orlean Saints football colors. Knew you would love 4 hands on the bass! As a jazz artist yourself this has to be a ton of fun. Thanks Dave

Haley's performance and vocal gymnastics in "Oops, I Did It Again" I promise will literally blow you away. Haley makes it so much better than the original that there is no comparison.

Now that you've gotten your feet wet with Morgan James, I'd go back to her first PMJ performance of Maps. Or, if you want to continue with Hailey, she and Morgan did a non-pmj cover of Dear Prudence that is brilliant. Of course, Morgan must-see's are Dream On, Barbie Girl, and Take Me To Church all done with PMJ. Don't forget to check out her own channel and career that is phenomenal outside of her pmj collabs.

Ok. Welcome to the world of Morgan James. Morgan is a Juilliard School trained opera singer. She worked on Broadway, even playing the role of the incomparable Teena Marie in Motown. She was also in Godspell and the Addams Family. More importantly is her many soulful covers and originals, many of them done with her husband, the equally talented guitarist, Doug Wamble. You can react to just about any of her stuff and be amazed.
A cello is about half that size and is played sitting down with the instrument braced against the player's chest. What you have here is an instrument known variously as upright bass, double bass and (my favorite) bull fiddle. Great reaction. More PMJ would definitely be fun.

I've also heard it called a Dog House Bass in rockabilly circles and that's the term that stuck with me.

What I enjoy most about PMJ is that almost all their recordings are playful and feelgood! It is clear that this is one of their main goals, in addition to the incredible craftsmanship of all these great musicians. I wish I could sit you down for a few hours, maybe with a beer or sumtin, and just spam you with some of their best recordings. I just know you wouldnt stop smiling 😊

Yes, it's a pop song, but it's covered by PMJ and is therefore jazzed up. To be honest, Meghan Trainor made her song a bit jazzy, to begin with. Long live jazz, baby!
