The blond is Morgan James and she is outstanding. Morgan does a rendition of Dream On with PMJ. The first vocalist/bass player is Casey Abrams. Casey and Haley met when they were on American Idol in the same season. They are amazing together singing jazz!
Morgan James can really sing. She is classically trained but sings more in popular genres. So powerful. Her and Haley really complement each other. Two great ladies.
Classically trained at Julliard and went on to Broadway prior to launching her solo career.
I was waiting for you to hear Morgan James, who is a phenomenal singer who has never had the recognition she deserves.

Morgan James. An absolute must listen is her cover of Take Me To Church.
Since by now you know who's who vocally, some notes for you: Haley opens singing in her smoky, sultry, lounge-singer style. Morgan joins her to sing harmony, this time underneath Haley's lead. Morgan then belts it out of the park, along with her exceedingly crisp enunciation throughout her solo portion. Adam and Casey then perform that great double-player double bass solo, leading into Ariana's turn. I think you caught it by your facial expression, but the clarinet, trombone and piano vamp a little "New York, New York" right after Ariana sings the lyric "don't worry about your style," followed by vamping a little of "Mr Sandman" immediately following "hold a little more booty at night." Most reactors to this video completely miss those two little humorous fills! After Morgan joins her for the chorus, Ariana is on lead singing as an alto, and Morgan sings 1st soprano harmony above her. When Haley joins in for the finale, Ariana's singing alto harmony, Haley's singing the lead as 2nd soprano, and Morgan's the cherry on top. Note that there are several other videos of this same cast singing this song at different venues, and the three-part harmony is always the same: alto, 2nd soprano, 1st soprano, with the 2nd on the main melody line. Today, during their 10th anniversary tour, they still include this song in their set list, and even though the vocalists have changed, that three-part harmony at the end remains the same blend. Scott Bradlee, the piano player, is the genius behind Postmodern Jukebox, btw. . . Overall, great reaction, enjoyed your comments immensely.
The first two singers, Casey and Haley were coparticipants in the 2011 edition of American Idol. They’re still friends today.
When Haley joined Postmodern Jukebox, the group’s popularity exploded.
A couple of PMJ videos you should react to are Creep, Seven Nation Army and Don’t Speak.
As you noted, PMJ use top notch audio gear for their recordings. All videos are done in one pass, with no editing or autotune.

Actually my favourite part is the beginning with Casey. Everyone considers this a 3 singers video, discounting Casey, who ties the whole package with a “bow”.
So as others have said the blonde is Morgan James who was a Julliard trained Opera singer who moved into musical theatre and jazz. The third girl is Ariana Savalas and is the youngest daughter of the actor Telly Savalas. She is a burlesque singer and is considered amongst the best in her craft in the US

nice reaction. this was the first postmodern jukebox i saw and still one of my favorites. it does excellent job of representing the overall experience of what pmj does so well. not just the excellent vocalist, musicians and arrangement but meticulous implementation of "vintage" character though their outfits, expressions, movements and setting that virtually transfers you back in time. its also great how each of the women are unique in vocal attributes and styles yet can then also harmonize so well together... in addition, the dual bass play was very creative touch and notice how it ends with the bass getting the last word.... well, because its "all about the bass". 😎
Casey Abrams, the first singer, is a multi instrumentalist who didn't need to learn the bass for this video :-). The song is just all about the bass ...

Love Postmodern Jukebox. When I was still a girl I would romance about travelling to New York to see something like this. I never made it but thanks to them and TH-cam I’m satisfied. I haven’t listened in a while but seeing this reaction I’ll go back. I love the lead singer - but she’s only got just enough to carry the lyrics, physically, the others are barbies themselves. Not sure what that deal is worth. But I still love the music.
Really low? She hits any lower notes she'll be singing from her uterus! I'm a guy and have attempted Hayley's section (an octave lower), and that 'every inch of you is perfect from the bottom to the top' line is literally only just in my range. She makes it look so effortless, while I'm crushing my kidneys trying to keep control.

Morgan is one of the hardest workers in the industry. For example, Morgan dreamed that she performed Jesus Christ Superstar as Jesus and Shoshana Bean was Judas. She decided to put on an entire female production of JCS and started hand selecting some of the best vocalists, performers, musicians, producers and engineers in the business - all females. She put on a live concert at the Highline Ballroom and also recorded and released the entire score. Check out Gethsemane, you WILL be impressed!

The blonde is PMJs normal singer. Hayley is brought in on certain songs bcuz she's just better suited for that particular song. The bass player that started the song off usually is on the road with Hayley Reinhart.
