In people that are veterans they already in many cases get taxed on their SS which is honestly an insult to our veterans. A tax on an already taxed system.
Depends on their income, SS is taxed based on income levels and I believe currently if you make an aggregate of 30,000 dollars or less you will not be in any tax bracket for your SS benefits. Removing this tax which would impact around 16% of people currently who are under SSI and are making this much (Number is probably decreasing due to boomers with their pensions) would be way more beneficial, why would you punish someone who still may be able to find employment and gain medical benefits, and contribute their savings into private equity (Yes some people just want to relax, but some don't want their SS reduced so they do not work... works the same way with how phaseouts work in different tax credits)

Look, i am trying to become a first time homebuyer and of course Harris' ideas "sound" great but she thinks she can just pull money out of nowhere with no consequences. She just is saying the flashy ideas. Trump is saying the ideas nobody wants to say but need to have it done.
Nobody in their right mind would vote for Harris at this point. Still no policies on her website and after 40 days one relatively easy interview 18 minutes and she only spoke for about 9 minutes.

Honestly, one significant reason for bringing down inflation over the last two years was several millions of new immigrants doing low paying jobs, but it also caused persistent rent inflation that’s been hard to bring down.
The issue is that it’s illegal immigration, so there’s no regulation. Sadly our immigration system is beyond far gone and there’s not much the people can do about it.

So Trumps policies far outweigh Kamala's in my opinion, except for 1, his stance on Tariffs. As someone who's done a fair amount of importing, the tariffs are nothing more than a tax on the American consumer. It would be different if there tariffs where just on the Chinese Gov, that would make sense that they pay us. But there are no factories here in the US to make 90% of what's being imported. A much better idea would be to incentivize construction of factories here in the US, then put the tariff in place so that it becomes cheaper to make here in the US.
It pushes for domestic creation rather than importing.

If you want to place tariffs, you can’t expect them to just eat the cost increase and not pass the burden on to the consumer. We need the infrastructure here before we can even consider something like that, and we are nowhere close

Companies are not going to do this out of the goodness of their hearts, the economic pressure has to be exerted before movement will occur. There are already US based companies, they will be at an advantage and international companies will rush to move manufacturing to keep up. The US is an consumer/economic powerhouse and they will adapt.
