    After two of your videos and 2 times holding a gun before, I have won the two grand prizes at my local fair. Thank you!

    Some people are not cut out to instruct ... Listening to this guy was like a listening to an audio book on fuel injection systems ... trying to over complicate the message.or Ikea furniture. Sounded like he had to read verbatim what he was teaching.

    The music is obnoxious. But great lessons.

    What distance do you zero your dot?

  • @mikec4927
    @mikec4927 2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

    Way to explain zeros vs. holdover in the absolute most complicated way possible. This was great “expert witness” testimony to a judge or jury, but not an effective training video. I expect more from UFPro videos.

      Yeah as someone new to guns I have no idea what he's talking about.

    • @florianrueger
      @florianrueger 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      In laymen's terms all he is saying remember that your optic is higher than the barrel where your bullet travels from so depending on your optic's zero, you have to aim slightly higher to hit dead center 🎯.
      This drill is designed to help you learn how much higher you have to aim in order to compensate for the height difference between optic and barrel.

    • @mikec4927
      @mikec4927 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@godwarrior3403 Don’t worry, it’s not nearly as complicated as he makes it sound. At your zero just put the dot where you want to hit. Closer than zero range take some shots to see how high you have to hold above the target to compensate for the difference in height between optic and muzzle. See, I just explained his whole video in a couple sentences, in an understandable way 😏😂

      @@mikec4927 That's hardly complicated haha

    I feel like a good zero, optic and training partner is 1000% more effective then worrying about aiming 2 inches high at 10 meters. All about trigger time

    Initially the before you sight in with any optics you need to zero the weapon barebones shoot adjust accordingly then add CCO anything else leads to falsehood…

    Unless you do competitive shooting it doesn't really matter. If you get a solid group in your target's torso he is gonna go down.

    Just zero to 10 meters if thats what distance your shooting.
    Personaly ide do 50 and call it close enough. I wouldent even use a sight at 10 meters. Point and shoot.

    Not to be rude but this video was a bit too full of fancy words. Others in this series crushed the concept and kept it simple, but this one didn’t hit the mark. I hope to see another version dropped at some point

    So to shoot somebody in the eye, you have to aim at their eyebrow. 👀

    This is the CrossFit of firearms training. You have only succeeded in over complicating a basic concept. One day you’ll realize that your students are thinking, “Can we just shoot, professor?” But, as long as YOU love to hear yourself talk, i guess its ok.

      Every field has its specialized lingo. Every specialist has their own take on it. You've probably heard the same ideas expressed in different words but the physics and mental effort is the same.
