I don't really understand how even a casual could like this as even though the overhaul skill of this season was lowered down universally that would mean a casual player would die just as fast if not faster than an experienced player.
you can say "objective" all you want, but this season had so much content as well as just being overall really fun and enjoyable for so many people, not everyone is a competitive person who plays the game all day everyday, a lot of people just want to hop on with some friends and have a good time, and this season was perfect for that

My only downsides with the season was the lootpool not being the best, and a few other things, but i had a lot of fun due to the new additions we got, like tornados, tilted, etc. Btw your content is super underrated, love the editing for your videos and i hope your channel grows soon
I disagree young fella. That said, I'm more of a casual player than you. I have 1300 wins and can build fairly well (fast 90s, triple ramp, waterfall, etc), but I'm a console player who never switched my binds and therefore can't edit well. I just play the game to relax and have fun with friends. To me, Chapter 3 (in particular season 1) brought me back from the worst Chapter ever. The map was a breath of fresh air, I liked "using" the MK7 and stinger smg, and SBMM and bots seemed to improve since Chapter 2. Also...MOBILITY. That was the worst aspect of Chapter 2. We had great mobility again in Chapter 3. Anyways, I love the idea for a series of videos reviewing the seasons. Keep up the good work! 👍

I think the meta for this season was more of an experiment than anything. I think they wanted to put the smg’s back or close to on par with the shotguns but ultimately the overturned the shotgun meta causing issues

I joined technically in chapter 2 primal season, but my switch broke so when I got my new new new one, I actually got to play chapter 3. So yeah I loved it.
Welp.....one of my friends reintroduced to fortnite, and this is the first season ever that I've fully invested too. I actually had a good time in chapter 3 season 1. Even tho I was a complete noob back then.
bru the loot pool was fine people just hate whenever they remove the pump, like the striker was a balanced weapon and the auto (yes was bad at first) got better over time. and yes it was a little spam heavy but it did not ruin the season or anything, this is still one of the best seasons to date (and is better than most of chapter 4 as a whole)
Honestly can get behind this video. The lootpool was such a nightmare that I have tried avoiding it in any creative maps I work on, and it says a lot about how bad the shotguns were when Epic removed all of them by Season 4
Thank God I'm not the only one that hates this season, no tiktok video is ever convincing me this was "fortnite's 3rd prime", despite being the season i most grinded and got to division 8 for the first time this season sucked so bad, the meta was terrible, the map was good but the meta was so horrible that i quit comp for half that season
This is the only video i disagree with. Most of the guns were new, and fun. So much new content. Mantling, sprinting, winterfest was SO GOOD, spider man mythic, the map was great, And most importantly, i wasnt competitive back then. Maybe if your really comp, it wasnt fun, but as a casual player, i thought it was a great season, and i still do.
I absolutely get this, especially seeing as you are particularly focusing a competitive perspective. I still think its a bit disingenuous at parts. Talking about a "lootpool" and barely scratching the surface of actual items you could carry is weird to me. Guns are at the centre yes, but this season excelled at introducing cool heals. Med Mist, Guzzle Juice, Pizzas, Shield Kegs and specifically Tents which had plenty of cool functionality besides healing. The content stream was good, something I really missed at times in Chapter 4 (namely MEGA and Wilds). Weather, Klombo, Revamped Heavy and Covert Canyon were something to get me to log in often. But yea, if a gunpool sucks it can easily ruin a season (which I had felt in C1S5 and S6, C2S7 and C4S3 and made me play those seasons way less. Pretty easy to see why the season is so polarizing, for some it completely drove them away from the season for others it caused renewed interest.
Good Video, As much I really enjoyed this Season after playing 2 seasons of Chapter 2. I wouldn't rate it that high as a 10/10 because of the Shotguns with the Striker Pump being an awkward weapon to shoot and not doing alot of damage with the low rarity versions. Auto Shotgun similar to the Tac but took longer to reload which leaves you wide open for easily getting knocked or eliminated, I prefer this one but they could've bought back the Tac when they vaulted it in the Invasion Season. The MK-7 and Stinger Smg were very powerful & decimated Builds to the point it was really unbalanced most of the time like how can anyone build to actually defend themselves and fight back, I remember the Stinger Smg being so annoying that it got frustrating trying to use the shotguns against it. Spiderman Webshooters where so much Fun but putting them in Arena didn't make people happy in the competitive scene, I don't really play this game competitively but more casual when I'm having fun. The Map was Incredible but the Changes thoughtout Chapter 3 aren't looked backed on fondly especially everything that happened to Tilted Towers. I did like the Weather with Tornadoes & Lighting also Klombo which they never made a return ever since besides the Chrome tornado but it was in one location that wasn't spawned randomly on the map. I did love this Season at the Time when getting into the game for the First time ever and think it's a 7/10 overall 😀
I remember that I wasn't a big fan of this season back then, like at all. The Spiderman mythic was annoying and if you didn't have one, you were at a huge disadvantage. Epic gave us a lot of content during this season and it was also good content. Back then I probably would've given it a 3/10, but now I'd give it a 6/10, because of nostalgia... Yeah. That still puts it higher in my ranking than most chapter 2 seasons.

Use to think it was one of the best seasons ever, but then I remembered the Traumatizing Experience that was Getting Destroyed by unskilled players spamming the Mk and Stinger. And the Map At times felt boring and some of the poi’s weren’t really memorable to me. Anyways Great Video and keep up the great work!
The first season of Chapter 4, with its mid lootpool, was the reason I stopped playing Fortnite. It wasn't fun, it was competative heavy which I'm just not onboard with being in my mid 30's and, predominently, teaming up with my son. For me Chapter 2 was just more fun. Chapter 4 just got worse too.
What is blud yapping about this was the best season ever. He only yaps about the lootpool which is one of least important things of a season and thw lootpool wasn't bad abd was really good anyways
This was one of my favorite seasons. I loved the loot pool because the mk7 and stinger were really fun to use imo. I also think the map was better than any version of the chapter 4 map. Overall this season imo was better than anything in chapter 4 but I hated chapter 4 so that there.
@@cheerful_crop_circle i think k the current map is alright. I prefer it overall to the chapter 4 map but not as much as the chapter 3 map. My biggest complaint with the current map is the lack of variety. Most of the map is just a grassland. I do appreciate the variety in the different types of grassy areas. Like the forest area in the north, then the like open plains area by fencing fields. and then the almost savannah kinda looking area. I like how all these places feel unique to anything we’ve had in fortnite before. I just wish we had more non grassy areas. Like a desert or a swamp where it’s mostly water. But overall not a terrible map. TLDR: Better than most of the chapter 2 and all of the chapter 4 maps. But not up there with chapter 1 and 3 at there peaks.
