24 years later, I remember this guy as the best Freddie Mercury impressionist I've ever seen on tv. And there have been many. For a little guy to imply the might and charisma was astonishing. I hope he's had a career performing and singing over the last 2 decades.

But I always admire this performance again and again, because I believe that to this day, no one has managed to surpass Gary In this field. When man closes his eyes and listens only to his voice, it is really difficult to distinguish him from Freddie's. Apsolutely amazing voice and performance too.
OK, someone please tell me this guy went on to great things with THAT voice. The audience must've been stunned. Close your eyes and its Freddy. To be able to sing like that, live, knowing everyone knows you as the PC guy takes a special talent indeed. Still gives you good bumps 24 years on.
How the Hell did this guy's career not blow up after this? The body language is seamless and absolutely phenomenal and his voice is gorgeous, very close. If Marc Martel had this guy's body language there would be no challenger at all.

Being a 90s kid this was one of my favourite shows to watch, I genuinely was shocked by how quickly they transformed the contestants into these fabulous singers. I genuinely thought the doors behind were magic and made the contestants instantly transform....best magic trick for 90s kid ....until your parents told you actually what happened ...but brilliant Saturday nights 😭

He’s got a good voice, wouldn’t say he’s exactly like Freddie though.
