      You'll love the 10m. It's one of those special sizes that are extra good ;-)

    Hey, great video and really impressive control of the kite. I am getting my first foil kite this weekend - a Soul 10M. I'm an experienced kiter so really excited to get out and ride it, but not so sure about landing. I would love to self-land like you show in the video - can you give some tips and "do's and don'ts" with self landing the Soul?

      Thank you. Best way to start is checking out my self land video in this link. Any more questions after that just hit me up.

    Which bar are you using? Have you given up on Pinxto bar?

    • @adventure-logs
      @adventure-logs  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! The bar in this vid is a custom setup I made using an old Infinity 2 bar with a Infinity 4 style cleat trimmer and the Inflexion QR(which I love). I still use the Pinxto time to time with my 6m while I hydrofoil but still have issues with the depower tubing. Usually have to replace it every couple months(luckily I found a source of the tubing stateside).

    Awesome video! For the 8m what would you say is a twin tip wind range? Or a foiling wind range? I'm looking for a beginner foil kite that will get me riding in lighter air. I have a foil and a twin tip. Also what bar would you recommend for the FS soul? Thanks!

    • @adventure-logs
      @adventure-logs  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you! Any bar with a low "v" and equal lines(I ride with the steering lines a couple CM shorter) will work. The range depends on your weight, size of board, and which foil you are using. At 185lbs on a 137 TT I would say starting at around 12kts with top end being 30+ and for my foil(Moses 633) I would say around 9kts to around 15-18kts. I am very experienced though so since you are beginning, I would except a smaller range with similar gear/weight.

    Yes, make a video about Inflexion QR. It looks promising.

    Great review - what size would you suggest for light wind foiling in 6-11 knot range? 175lbs

    • @adventure-logs
      @adventure-logs  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Depends on your skill level really. You could do that with the Soul2 10m with longer lines but it would be difficult. The 12m Soul2 would be better but 6kts is difficult no matter what kite you use.

    WOW😯, what an amazing and impressive video, kite-skills and kite.
    Now I know for sure which kite I should buy for the water.
    (I am already fascinated by the Flysurfer Peak4 on land. That's why I consider a FS for water).
    And you go that fast just with an 8m in 13 knots!?!?
    Because of my kite-skills (no water experience yet), I am looking for a kite to be able to cruise with on a lightwind twintip (Spleene Door) in the windrange 9 - 20 knots.
    Would you consider a 12m Soul as a fantastic kite and the proper size for that purpose?
    Many thanks

    • @adventure-logs
      @adventure-logs  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That really depends on your weight and equipment. The Soul 10m is a special size that I think has the largest range. 9kts might be hard unless you are light. Also for those low wind speeds you'll have to learn to hydorfoil. So I would say if you are over 150lbs go for the 12, less go for the 10.

    Good afternoon. Perfect and informative review about soul2. My question is ... how long lines do you use? And what to recommend. Have you also adjusted the mixer to soul2 to be optimal .. both for cutting at speed and for keeping it right in the air in jumps? I have 10 soul2. by how many cm. you would recommend shortening the rear lines. so that the index is optimally adjusted.
    Sincerely, Andree

      Thank you for the feedback! I have yet to mess with the bridle and I tend not unless if the wing is flying fine. My line length all depends on what I'm doing. I'll go shorter when I'm foiling or have a smaller launch. Twintip big air I tend to stick around stock length from FS(around 24m) because I like that timing the best.
      For shorter steering lines, I usually do around 2-3cm shorter. It's mostly for taste, I like the last inch or bar to be rigged to allow the kite to backstall. FS says you can have up to 4cm shorter.

    I have the 15m v2 and was looking to add the 10m but seeing what fun you’re having on an 8m I’m considering that instead as it would also be a good size for foiling, totally confused now. I’m the same weight as you so would you go for a 10m or an 8m along side the 15m ?

    • @adventure-logs
      @adventure-logs  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      id totally get the 8m. I had the 8/15 quiver and it worked well. The 8m has a great range.

    Hi. For foiling do you prefer using the Sonic3 or Soul2? And why? Thanks.

    • @adventure-logs
      @adventure-logs  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends on what type of foiling. For ultimate low wind then the Sonic3 but if in the surf or higher winds, I pick the Soul hands down. The Soul drifts and turns better and the Sonic produces more power per size.

    Hello! In your opinion, which kite of the same size has more power in low wind on twin tip, soul or sonic?

    • @adventure-logs
      @adventure-logs  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I haven't ridden the Sonic4 yet so I can only compare the Soul2 vs Sonic3. On twin tip, the Sonic3 is a little better in low wind because of its higher aspect ratio. This means you can "wind up" the kite. Basically the fast you ride, the more power the kite will produce. If you are new to foil kites or kiteboarding, the Soul2 will be a little easier to get power out of but with the right skills, the Sonic3 will be faster.

      I tried mountainboarding a long time ago and I just couldn't get the hang of it. If you have the skills, you'll get more out of a high aspect foil for sure.
