- trying to film a DIY for you guys on how to install a borla catback exhaust on this 2019 jetta R-line with the 1.4T. Enjoy!!!
tools needed:
- tail pipe cutter amzn.to/3FJCcZ8
- 13mm,15mm socket, 6in extension, and 3/8in ratchet amzn.to/34WFqM4
-13mm ratcheting wrench amzn.to/356Lwtw

If anyone is still interest in this exhaust, I had one in my mk7 jetta and it sounded amazing and trust me I hate drone and annoying exhaust sounds and this thing has no drone and the perfect amount of volume at full throttle. Little to no sound on the highway and the perfect tone at any rpm under 4200 because above that it’s hard to hear, that comes with any exhaust on small displacement engines tho. Highly recommend because I miss my jetta almost every day

Appreciate this video, I’m thinking of ordering this for my 2019, or the muffler delete from ecs that is only 150 dollars
I think the muffler delete would be too quiet. This system goes all the way to the cat and in my opinion is still quiet
I straight piped mine, cost $200 and honestly if i had to do it again i might buy a small resonator to put in there because the droning can be quite annoying. If anyone’s looking for a sound comparison i have a short on my channel showing the sound of the mk7 1.4t with a cat back straight pipe
I thought about doing that just never got to it
I’m sure the borla is a better solution, but sound wise mines a healthy amount of loud and pops and bangs super loud when i rev match

auto or manual? just got a MK7 R line and looking to do some mods come spring. did you need a tune? Im thinking of doing the Luft Technik intake as well as this exhaust
Sorry for the late reply its the wifes car so its a auto and i have the unitronic intake on it. No tune required for either the exhaust or intake so dont worry

is there any way to only change out the muffler for a better sound or does it have to be the whole exhaust ?
Yes you can get a muffler delete pipe or a axleback that just replaces the muffler and not the whole exhaust

Is it too loud/annoying while on the interstate? I’m worried about cabin noise as I do a lot of interstate driving to work. How do you guys like it as it’s been broken in?
Not loud at all on the interstate it has a good tone but the volume itself did not go up very much
does the pack come with bolts or bolt mounts? just ordered one for my jetta and i’m not sure what i need bolt wise
U dont need any bolts just the clamps that are provided with the kit

Its the wifes car so mods i got planned for it is wrapping interior and exterior, window tint. Wheels, springs, and maybe a downpipe and some led interior lights i think thats it. What mods would you like to see? Im open to suggestions
