I notice that red, being the brighter, more energetic colour, tend to go to very young children and Santa in these painting, while green is for the slightly more mellow older adults, lovingly looking on. The real moving targets of Christmas colour are probably white and the two main metallics - silver and gold.
Red and Green were available in the winter time just as Tulips are available in the spring and Mums in the fall. People always decorated their homes and they used what was available. Green meant eternal life and the red berries were the drop[s of Christs blood. Pine cones were fragrant. My mother used to get them from the market and in winter would put one in a warm over and it would spread the scent around the house. You have to get then from the market you can't pick them yourselves They may be filled with spiders if you pick them.
I always assumed...evergreens plentiful in winter. Many species have red berries. Red is a warm, cheerful color, more natural than orange. I do like touches of brown and gold. (Pink, blue, yellow etc more spring-y). Somehow, in my mind, I tended to separate the "secular" festivity from the worship service/music/nativity. I try to keep them separate and not lean to the secular activities.
Three of my sons are red green color blind. What they see is different shades of grayish browns as far as I can tell. My father was also color blind so I always try to make a point of at least wrapping their gifts in blues and whites.
Before the 1890's Christmas was a time of drunkenness' and debauchery much like Saint Patrick's day now. But the Victorians transformed it with the fables of gift giving And wanted the birth of Christ to be reverent. They created Christmas as we know it now.
To you - who is watching this video: I send my prayers that you find peace in your soul, free from troubles, enjoy a prosperous life, good health, and be under God's protection every day.
Absolutely! And, Christ Jesus is the Center and spread of goodness & holiness in all of Life itself - both in this world - as well as in the Next🙏🏻✨❤️🔥👑
Christmas trees, whats homeland is Estonia / first public Christmas tree/are from pagan tradition. In Estonia, where people brought home evergreen fir trees/juniper bushes and decorated them with red jarn and deco figures made from straws. It is tradition from very very old pagn times. Church took ower tree tradition and used it to give out charity gifts like cookies, nuts, apples aso by hanging those on trees in church. Brotherhood of Blackheads /look up from wikipedia/ put up first public tree with charity gifts on Town Hall Square. Next year similar tree was put up in Riga....and after that it spread onto whole world. Jarn is still there....even when you nowdays decorate three with garlands also straw decorative figures, apples and cookies. So at the end church took tradition and remade it their own with lore from bible. This happened at that time a lot, pagan traditions were remoulded to fit and corporated to church traditions. Happy Holidays!
Trees belongs to God. Isaiah 60:13 The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious. God command to make sculpture & equip them w artistic talent skills. Exodus 25:18 You shall make two cherubim of hammered gold. You shall make them at the two ends of the mercy seat. Exodus 25:20 The cherubim shall spread out their wings upward, covering the mercy seat with their wings, with their faces toward one another. The faces of the cherubim shall be toward the mercy seat. Exodus 31:3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all kinds of workmanship, 2 Chronicles 3:5, 7, 10, 16 (WEBM) The greater house he made a ceiling with fir wood, which he overlaid with fine gold, and ornamented it with palm trees and chains. He overlaid also the house, the beams, the thresholds, and its walls, and its doors, with gold; and engraved cherubim on the walls. In the most holy house he made two cherubim of image work; and they overlaid them with gold. He made chains in the oracle, and put them on the tops of the pillars; and he made one hundred pomegranates, and put them on the chains. The HEAVEN REJOICES !! So why wont the earth rejoices? Luke 2:10-14 New International Version 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” 13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
Red because Jesus came to die for use. His shed blood can cover all your sins if you put your trust completely in Him. Green for life eternal which is what you receive when you turn from your sin and are Born anew through faith.
It's all a pagen holiday no matter what they say. ....it's amazing how Christians celebrate a pagen holiday as Jesus birthday. When nowhere on the Bible does it state Jesus' birthday, only his death during Passover. It's taken me 64 years to say I'm not celebrating Christmas anymore. it's Pagen, and houkd not be celebrated by Christians
Christianity is a joke. He never even existed. The Bible is a mash up of dozens of different nutcases writing over hundreds of years. A tome full of inconsistencies, contradictions and a god who is just nasty. Especially to himself. Kills himself.
The meaning of the color is an interesting fact!🎁🎄🧑🎄🌎⭐🌟✨

I knew about the religious symbolism of the colors red and green but never knew about the pagan symbolism.
THE WHOLE THING IS PAGAN
Merry Christmas
&
Happy Holidays !!

Green = The Tree of Life in the Garden, Red = Apple forbidden fruit of man's temptation. Merry Christmas everyone!

I already knew Christmas had Norse pagan origins, but Roman and Celtic adds further interest.
In what way does Christmas have Norse Pagan origins?
Leif Eriksson was a devout Catholic Christian, btw.
For myself, red, white, green and blue for Christmas.
I am curious if these colors represent Christmas in all countries like it does in the United States.
Here in my country Indonesia🇮🇩also represent during Christmastime.🎄
Was I seeing things or did I see a shot from inside Bronner Christmas store in Frankenmuth, MI
My daughter was asking this recently. 🎄
Merry Christmas everyone 🎄🎁☃️🎅
What do you trains have to do with Xmas?
To you - who is watching this video: I send my prayers that you find peace in your soul, free from troubles, enjoy a prosperous life, good health, and be under God's protection every day.
Red is Santa and green is Christmas tree, lol… 😊
We don't have holly in Australia. Our Christmas colours are green and gold. The gold represents the sunlight of summer...
Gold and silver were royalty as Christ was royal and white is purity.
The birth of Jesus is heart and souls Christmas , he is center of goodness in Christmas
Absolutely!
And, Christ Jesus is the Center and spread of goodness & holiness in all of Life itself - both in this world - as well as in the Next🙏🏻✨❤️🔥👑
ABSOLUTELY!
Christ Jesus is the reality of goodness and Holiness in all of Life - both in this world and in the Next 🕯️🙏🏻✨

Red the colour of Santa suit , green is hope the colour of the tree , gold is the gift bring to baby Jesus , white peace
Except the Church uses white for Christmas
Green. Is. For. Leaf. ..anfd. Red. Is. For. 🍓 Fruit
Green hope
Red blood of those died in war
White peace
This is the Italian flag 🇮🇹
After all, Jesus Christ has nothing to do with all of these celebrations, decorations etc.
Exactly ....very much q pagen holiday
Er@@CarmenGonzalez-i3owrong
Wasn't Santa dressed in green until coca cola came around and changed the color to red?
jesus was born in september though. why did they steal a holiday instead of having a birthday party?
Yeshua ben Yosef or Jesus was born in July
What is the real meaning of Christmas Jesus
I WOULD THINK FROM HOLLY AND BERRIES FOR CENTURIES....NOT SANTA!!!
Red because Jesus came to die for use. His shed blood can cover all your sins if you put your trust completely in Him. Green for life eternal which is what you receive when you turn from your sin and are Born anew through faith.
Where does Halle Berry fit in here?

As for Easter...well, it's also a pagan festival...
Red for red berries, white for snow, gold for the Sun, blue for the night sky and green for evergreen stuff! 🤔🥰🤗💖❤️🤍💙💛💚
