  • First ride review of the Suzuki Van Van 125. First time on a 125 since I was a teenager. And speaking about my plans for taking it round the North Coast 500 ( NC500 ). Is it a good idea?

What’s better the van van or tw125 I ride an 1150gs and 6ft 17 stone I fancy a little 125 for the caravan

I looked into the TW125 but I felt it was a bit more suited to being off road. It seemed to be low geared so that’s why I went for the VanVan. I’m 5’8 and I don’t feel that I’m cramped on the bike but I think you should consider looking for the 200 rather than the 125. Mine could certainly do with a little bit more oomph to it. Sometimes I’m struggling to get over 45 mph

Are you based in the uk? One of the good things about this bike is how light it is. I’m going to look into a small capacity bike with more power than the VanVan but try and keep the to the same weight if possible. The bike weight is about 120kg

Nice one. I really feel you dont need anyway else up here in the Highlands.

You wouldn’t need too much more, I think about 20hp is fine for the wee back roads. Would love to do it again with a 250cc

I'm looking at getting the 200 vanvan. Although my mate says he's not a fanfan! 😂

With my fat arse on it? About 55mph on flat. With the wind behind me 😬

@@highlandroadrunner55mph - so maybe slow for those long and open less crowded stunning roads up there…but for me down south in Londiniumn where there’s blanket 40mph average speed cameras dotted along the main motorway from where I live in outer London all the way into the city, this top speed sounds perfect..and it’s small size seems like it’ll be perfect for filtering in inner city traffic. So first bike sorted….now just need to bulk at the price of all the gear costing almost as much as the bike 😂

Not on a VanVan, the triple would be a better laugh I reckon.

It was definitely a good laugh on the van van. I don’t think I’d have had as much fun throwing the triple round the single track roads.

@@highlandroadrunner See for driving in traffic it is excellent, great visibility enough poke to get you round the but not daft fast to get you underneath the next one. and so chuckable, makes me grin...top review mate
