Hi! I am the developer behind this plane, and yes I am a solo developer as well. Thanks for the nice review, I watched it all, and you got some really good points in your video! I am very happy that you are satisfied with the plane and I hope to fix as many of the things you mentioned in the video as possible. Thank you again for making such an informative and objective review!
What a nice surprise to hear from the actual developer! Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. The solo developer? You should be so proud of yourself, as your product is a very honest product with a tremendous amount of potential. I am humbled by your communication. Please don't hesitate to use me for any free consultation that you desire.
@rhdsimulations Amazing job by yourself! And thanks for showing that you are involved with your product this much, even replying to this great and objective review. I have purchased this 767 and downloaded and it works well. I have one small issue, my FMA is not showing anything but ILS frequency is frozen. Any change I make doesn't come up and FMA is just blank. Would someone here know the solution? Thanks
Hey man - enjoyed your video. Congrats on retirement! I'm currently a 767 Captain at the purple-tailed cargo airline. We're still getting factory new 767s with LDS (Large Display System). Just thought you might like to know that we do indeed have TO1 and TO2 options these days. Normally we send for the performance data via ACARS and it automatically populates the de-rate for us. I wish there was a study level 75/76 option available, but thanks to your vids I'll give this one and the Captain Sim one a try just for fun.
Rumor has it that a “study level” 767 is on the way. Of course that means 12 months or so, but one of the biggies has the 767 in the works. Thank you so much for reaching out. Buyer beware, there is NOT a high-quality 767 available. You might want to wait.
Very nice review sir! Congrats on your upcoming retirement in September! It was a sad day to me when AA retired the 757 and 767! They were the backbone of the fleet along with the Super 80’s for a long time! God speed!
We pilots definitely fall in love with our airplanes. I feel sadness when I think of my old flames/planes. Thank you so much for commenting. Please keep coming back and please offer any advice.
Thank you for the honest review, that also includes quite a lot of useful general real airline pilot methodology and processing. I'm a big PMDG 737-800 and -700 simpilot, and I fly with Air Hauler 2. I've been looking at this plane since it came out, as something to fly to have a break from the 73 now and then, and this might be it. BTW I'm usually impervious to Dad Humour, but you did manage to make me actually LOL out loud a couple of times. Good to see RHD Simulation giving some input and thanks; shame Capt Scam doesn't really care about his customers, just the $$$.
All so true. I really admire the solo developer at RHD. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. It means a lot to me, and I’m sure RHD appreciates you as well!
Hey sir! Thank you so much for this review, I'm currently a student pilot at University right now studying commercial aviation and I really hope I can fly the 757 and 767 as I know they're going to stay around for a bit longer, and I love this plane so much! The Piper Archer I train on has huge G1000 screens, which I'll admit are very nice to use, however I just love older airplanes like the 767 and I will definitely be looking into this product thanks to your amazing review of it. I greatly appreciate the work you do in this video! Thanks!
It was very kind of you to leave such a nice comment. I really do enjoy doing these videos, but they sue take a lot of study to get up to speed on an aircraft that you are no longer current on. The RHD 767 needs improvement, but the developer kind of holds a special place in my heart, as they are a solo operation! It was a very honest attempt, and it will only get better. Best of luck in your aviation future and thank you again!
Hey ! You should make a full tutorial from cold and dark to ils landing We have nothing like that on TH-cam with the 767 yet, specially for the fmc set up with sim brief would be awesome Thanks for the video !
The plane is really great except for those things the Cap said. Ive just took off and somehow the model after takeoff rollercoasted all over the way up to FL360, pitching up more than 30º and down almost 10º. Nothing Ive did stopped it, Ive turned of VNAV turned it ON, FLCH also, HOLD, SPD, ATT, AUTOPILOT, VSPEED, nothing worked it kept rollercoasting pitching up and down, couldnt stopped it using TRIM nothing. Well hope they fix those glitches, and make an independent FMC. Ah no stall warnings so far.
Would you recommend for flight on vatsim and is the fps problem sorted p. S just came a cross your videos and find them very Interesting an educated to watch are you a retired captain of the 767/777 or. Md11 thanks
I have not flown the RHD 767 since it was first released. It has had several updates. The developer is a single person and is extremely conscientious and determined to make his product as strong as possible, I am still a 777 CA, but have have been type-rated in the MD-80 (2000 hours), the A300-600 (4000 hours), the MD-11 (2000 hours, the 737-800 AND MAAX (1600 hours), 757!767 (5000 hours) and the 777 (2400 hours). I retire in September.
@@FatherTime1958 thanks for the reply and info on the 767 is there any chance u could revisit? it just deciding whether to buy I did buy the sky simulations md11 and was very disappointed had problems and no rely from developers and wow it is a pleasure to watch ur videos such a skilled pilot pleased I came accross your page consider me a new subscriber and hope u enjoy ur retirement when u do retire. Hi Father Time. Great videos... big fan. I'm in Jersey by the way. Here's a question. When ground speed is at say 500 what is the True air speed in the 767? When I sit in the cabin and look at the TV screens, it says 500 but I know the true air speed will be different(dependant on various factors). I just need an average example. Thanks
Vg=cos(a)∗vtas+ws is the formula to calculate ground speed. You can see that the wind is a factor as well as the angle of attack. When flying at Mach .80 you indicated airspeed is around 270 knots and your TAS is approximately 470 knots. If you are flying a 470 TAS flight plan and you have a 500 knot ground speed, you have a 30 knot tailwind. So, to answer your question directly, if you have a 500 ground speed on your passenger seat monitor, you probably have a TAS of around 470. If you are on a higher Mach flight plan like .84, your indicated is around 280 and your TAS is closer to 480. Your ground speed would be 480 plus or minus the wind component.
@@FatherTime1958 Wow thanks. I will use that formula from now on. Another quick question. Do you find that the MSFS planes fly at the correct speeds as the real planes? Meaning, I get overspeed warnings at 350 or 320 knots when the planes are rated for 450 knots. I have never been able to fly at higher cruising speeds for some reason. Do you think the simulated speeds(using commercial jetliners as examples) are accurate?
Yes, they usually are correct when the aircraft is clean. I have noticed that the over speed tapes are sometime incorrect when configuring. In addition, if you are in a 350 knot indicated max speed aircraft, but you are at FL350, your max indicated may be 280 knots. The certified max indicated is at sea level only.
I saw that there was in update. I’m away from home at the moment, but when I get home I’ll retrain myself on the airplane and take a look. I’ve checked it out a few times since doing this video, but the fos drop-off in final was still there, so I decided to wait.
@RHDSimulations DO you refuel the plane via the MSFS default Weights Panel or is there some FMC Trick to do it? Also, does the FMC has Simbrief Integration? Thanks!
Hey @FatherTime, I’m giving you an open invitation to come to New Jersey to review my 6H DOF Reality motion sim for your channel. Just say when. It would be an honor to have you. 😁

Can you please add a Delta Airlines livery for this plane? Thanks!
does the 767 have enough system depth to be used on Vatsim? btw. make the sound better❤
