I always thought Evee was getting back at Rick. When they were on the boat and she asked him why he kissed her he said flippantly, "I was gonna die anyways so it seemed like a good idea at the time." (Or something close to that lol) She went off in a huff, this is a woman whos been locked up in a library (her own choice from what we can tell) has probably never experienced romance. She was expecting something suave from him, some grand explanation why he chose her to kiss. Again shes a reader shes probably read romances, her expectations are based in fantasy. And Rick is a soldier, he has none of that polish or experience with "ladies". So imo when she gets drunk shes thinking "well ima show you, Ill blow your socks off, and you'll like it!" Rick is keeping is distance because he knows he messed up before and knows its respectful to let her decide how far they're gonna go. This scene just highlights their characters so much and how much they've developed. Rick realizing he can't act like the arrogant thoughtless solider he was before, and Evee realizing that if she wants something she should go after it, and the booze probably helped her get to that mentality but still. The whole scene is sweet and definitely one of my favorites as well. Sorry for the novel, loving your channel!
@jessl1177, Thank you for your insightful comment specifically the mention regarding Rick not wanting to mess up with Evie again. He cares for her and he wants to earn her love and affection rather than taking it again. Thank you again and have a wonderful day!
You are smart. Very. I look forward to more of your passion for & understanding of film. If you like Rachel Weisz, you have to see Aronovsky's gorgeous 2006 film "The Fountain".
@bettyblu8115 Thank you for your wonderful words of encouragement. I saw bits and pieces of The Fountain a long time ago and I need to give it another shot. I was in a different headspace back then so hopefully I can look at it with renewed eyes. Thank you for your recommendation, I will definitely give the film a looksy. Have a wonderful day!
@ahanadiri5330, I'm so happy that you have found this video and took the time to leave such a lovely comment. I really appreciate it. I love the film so much and watching actors who not only have wonderful chemistry but are beautiful people inside and out makes a richer experience. Thanks again for your support and have a wonderful weekend!
@rebeccamurphy4695 You hit the nail on the head when you said "just magic" The Mummy and Raiders have that magical quality where you can see it on screen, you can hear the magic in the dialogue and in the film score and you just feel like you are watching something special. There are some films today that make you feel that way (Everywhere Everything All at Once) but they are few and far between what they used to be. Thank you for your wonderful comment and have a great day!
@BrookeLovesBooks Thank you very much for your wonderful comment. The Mummy is so good and I'm glad the film resonated with you. It's always a great time to watch the film. Thanks again and have a wonderful weekend!
@christinacrowder8802 Thank you so much for watching and for your great comment. Yeah apparently Rachel was like I'm not playing in this movie with an adult son and Maria Bello was like I'll do it if she doesn't. I'm paraphrasing of course but that may be the reason she was recast. Thanks again for your support and have a wonderful day!
Just Discovered This Gentleman's TH-cam Movie Review Channel. He's a Likeable Smart Dude who's Review of a Movie I've Aways Liked seeing as It's as about as good as it get's in term's of Someone Else Creating a Movie attempting to achieve the Genius of "Indiana Jones" with This Gentleman's Review Style based on the VERY Vital Importance of Chemistry between the Character's! I'll Positively Be Back to View More of This Gentleman's TH-cam Video's for SURE!
@caryblock3605 Thank you so much for you sweet and kind words. I'm so happy my video and this awesome film resonated with you. Indiana Jones has been an inspiration to so many film makers and if anyone can come close to recreating the magic of Spielberg and Lucas earlier iterations of the franchise that's a success in my book. I think Stephen Sommers has done that and made a film that can stand on its own right next to Indiana Jones. Sorry for the long reply. Thank you for your support and have a wonderful weekend!
Great review & excellent points made. I’m curious if you’ve ever seen *The Whole Wide World* (1996). I’d love to hear what you think about that one. Cheers 🤘
@GreatGreebo, Thank you very much for your comment. I have not seen "The Whole Wide World" It's on Tubi, so I will add it to the viewing list. Thank you for your recommendation and have a good one!
@J.Soffer, The Lady Maria Print to my left I believe his a print from the artist Christian Angel. Just type in "Christian Angel Malenia in the Google box and his work should pop up. I hope that helps. Have a good day.
@Pradeepa_Pandiyan, Thank you very much for your wonderful words of encouragement! I really appreciate it. Yeah, I had to put his big face in the video because it spoke to me on a spiritual level. I laugh every time I see it. Thank you for your support and have a beautiful and wonderful day!

The mummy gave me 1981 vibes regarding Raiders of the Lost Ark... just magic.

Thank you for your video! I love this movie and totally agree with you! I was so sad when they recasted Rachel for the third one.
