Oh boy, I managed to release this video during the witching hour on a Sunday. My bad. I love AHS Coven, but there are some things about the series that make me look at it sideways. That's way too good of dialog for Star Wars. Great performance
This show sucked too but not as much as the others
"And what do _you_ sacrifice?" "Babies."
This isht hard
Is the guy with the mustache the communications guy that was running and yelling "SENATOR!" in Rogue One?
That was chilling
Interestingly, Episodes 1-6 didn’t do speeches. Just an observation.
Now that is fine writing
The greatest speech in starwars history.....ARE YOU FUCKING JOKING. Too many children in here saying this is what we need, this is what we already had before you idiots fucked "EVERYTHING" lol.
Lol, he's says an AUDIENCE not nausea 😂
Subs say "Nausea" instead of "An Audience"
"what do you sacrifice?" "Arrakis"
This.
The reason why Andor is head and shoulders above any other show in quality is the fact that Disney didn't care enough to focus on it and got experienced British crew to make it on all levels.
The dark side that we need in Star Wars right now.
Hahaha, it's complete shit 😂😂
Perfect description of Fatherhood.
Luthen is a true hero
@tiffanyroberts6460 Depends on which side you are on.
@tiffanyroberts6460 OK, I see.
And we contrast this against the ads for Skeleton Crew which is panning out to be little more than a SW Sit-Com...epic.
The Star Wars universe is so big and dynamic in scope in can be portrayed by many dramatic styles. Even comedy. It is big and vast in intellectual, psychological and spiritual scope.
Which series is this? so many iron being pumped out. Still not as great a speech as given by the actor Werner Hertzog in mandalorian... "Why did mandolore resist our expansion, the empire improved everything it touched, trade, peace, prosperity.' That character felt like a REAL Imperialist that knew what he was talking about... Always regretted they shot him and replaced his character with the Gus Fring from BBad. The few scenes with him are like THE VERY BEST i have ever seen in SW... Suddenly felt so real and mature.
Better than the original song
@lordz7777 I actually like the song from Eason Chan. However, I love this Billie Eilish song more. Thank you for your comment and have a beautiful day!
@@yikesreviews great taste brother :)
The tone and writing of Andor is where star wars should strive to be, everything else since has been trash.
If Disney cannot see that Andor is where Star Wars needs to go there's no saving it. Put those writers on a long contract and sit them in a luxury suite for a year and let them craft.
@kitmcselby, I agree wholeheartedly up until the point of locking the creatives in a room for a year. I think Disney needs to take more risks. They are not in a position too but I feel they need to drop the fanservice and nostalgia bait and focus on getting back to telling stories. There has been so much vitriol and pushback from fans reacting to the state of their beloved franchises and executives declaring the direction of their franchise and making political statements in their shows. I don't care for the toxicity of the fandom and I don't care for the politics and baiting from the executives just get back to telling great stories and stop the bullshit. Andor showrunners made a decision early on to use actual set pieces and got to actual locales. The Showrunners stood by the need to not implement fanservice and if they were going to it had to be integral to the story they were telling. The story was priority and the crew made decisions to support that at all costs. Disney needs to let creatives, create. A show like Arcane or Fallout could never be created by Disney. However, Andor was damn near close! At the end of the day you have have to support what you like, what you love and if companies or fans are getting in the way of that you need to make a decision whether to support or abandon it. Sorry for the long rambling post thank you for your comment and have a beautiful day!
i want the same quality of show set in the KOTOR time period
@tiffanyroberts6460 absolutely agreed.
@@scottbrowder8304 That would be amazing!
Disney only cares about gay and woke. Everything is a vehicle to convey that to them. They are incapable of making anything good so long as those are their driving principles. That won't change until the people making those decisions are gone.
Good video, you got my sub
@michaelsanchez0911 Thank you very much for the sub! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Have a beautiful day!
I really like rewatching Inception and do it maybe 2 or 3 times a year. I enjoyed your breakdown, and it makes sense now you've said Arthur got more bold after Eames' advice. I like all Nolan films because of the paradoxes he likes to put in front of protagonists and how we perceive versus the protagonist. Memento gave Leonard 0% perception but what was great was, it gave the audience the same.
@RJones-es7ur , now I need to rewatch Memento! I totally did not pick up on that. I knew Nolan loved paradoxes and playing with time but your insight on the matter makes me want to rewatch all of his films. Thank you for your great comment and have a beautiful day!
@@yikesreviews if you make a Memento video, I'll definitely take a look! How we perceive and how we measure free will versus fate (TENET and Intersteller) are why I keep coming back to Nolan. Have a great day too
@@RJones-es7ur Adding it to the list! Thanks for the recommendation.

@ you too. I hope your channel grows.
it was recently found out (2023) that nearly every airline (JetBlue, Delta, United, Southwest, etc) was using uncertified fake parts for JET ENGINE repair and that the extent of the fraud is still unknown. So your jitters about airlines randomly crashing is not unfounded.
@rookandpawn, Thanks for the heads up. I guess my fear comes from I have no control when I'm riding an airplane as opposed to the illusion of control I have when driving in a car. Eventhough flying is statistically safer than driving (I read and heard that somewhere) I just prefer driving over flying. Finding out this news will not change my behaviors and I will likely still fly I just hate the experience and everything leading up to boarding and takeoff. Thank you for your insights and have a beautiful day!
Love your video, from mexico 🇲🇽
@valentinbarcenas3127 Thank you so much for your wonderful comment. Have a beautiful day!
Great. This is what would have safe Star Wars if they had done the same with all other series like Mandalorian (from third session on), Ashoka, Obi Won, Bobafet, etc. All we’re shit and have destroyed the franchise.
@jacobopm I agree with you to a certain degree. There is a part of me that wishes that Disney left the Skywalker era alone and created something new. I don't care if its from the past or the future just something set apart from the Skywalkers. There are aspects of the Mandalorian, Obi Won, Ashoka, Boba Fett and yes, The Acolyte that I like but I feel they are and were constrained to fit into the established Skywalker lore or OG trilogy. The reality is that Star Wars needs to abandon the Skywalker era and move on. The actors are almost all gone and the story has been told inside and out. What made Andor great was the fact that it focused on the Rebels side that not all of them were this paragon of virtue and light. That some of rebels knew what they had to do was grimy and sinister but it was done so that the next generation could thrive in the sunlight of a brighter tomorrow. The writing, set locations, acting all felt grounded, more intimate, more forceful because almost every character in the show was relatable and had motivations that spoke more to the human condition, morality and war than it spoke to the Jedi or Sith order. I could be wrong but Star Wars can be a great franchise again. Disney needs to start fresh. We need new heroes and villains to believe in and they need to be written well from a place of passion and care like Andor was. Sorry for the long reply and thank you for your awesome comment. Have a beautiful day!
What the fsck went ‘right’ with Andor, when what came before and after it such unadulterated rubbish? Disney - whatever you did with Andor, whoever you hired, just do that again!
I honestly think he is how modern writers would write an older Obi Wan after Mustafar
This is how _good_ writers would write an older Obi Wan after Mustafar. "Modern" writers have already tried and muffed it.
Great actor really makes this character
@nonyabusiness8731 I 100% agree with you! Thank you for your comment. Have a great day!
Not even close to the greatest nothing disney does is great.
It’s such a great mantra I like repeating it to myself whenever I’m losing my composure because it’s a great reminder to be PRESENT despite adversity.
@daviddoingstuff4725. Being present has always been incredibly difficult for me. Thank you for providing your comment and perspective. Have a great day!
Helluva speech.
If we define the first trilogy as a samurai movie, Rouge One and Andor are ninja movies. It was said in a documentary, "It is not known how many lost battles and fallen castles the ninjas have a share in. Because honorable samurai generals do not talk about it." Which is harder, to give your life for your ideals or to give your soul?
@deryaergul8261 Thank you for providing that insight. I never really thought of it in that way but it adds a new dimension when I look at the Star Wars universe of stories as a whole. Have a great day!
How do SO MANY people F up rogue and rouge? One, a synonym for a thief or brigand. The other meaning red.

yup yup!
Haha is just gaslighting. He didn’t sacrifice squat.
How so? We don't even know his past nor how his story ends, yet. One thing for sure is that he can't live a normal life, unless he's under his senator alias. He is constantly at war against the system, he can't look forward without looking out on his back. He can't be friends with anyone, he can't settle a family. He WILL die a gruesome death to the Empire in season 2, and nobody will remember him because everyone who knew him either hated him or died for the cause. Luthen DID sacrifice everything, for the hope that he will disrupt the Empire just a tiny bit. He won't live long enough to see the results and be praised a hero, and he knows it.
@ I‘m not talking about what is going to happen or what might happen in the future. That’s pretty irrelevant at this point. Compared to the people who gave their lives, all his sacrifices are minor inconveniences. Don’t get me wrong I love Andor and Luthen is a great character, I just find this speech here rather manipulative and the guy there had a justified question. I don’t think he answered it very well. Rhetorically brilliant.
"Assassin!" is Brodie's last line, shouted from the stair landing and echoed over Sandy's departing figure. Ronald Neame's commentary reveals that the shouted line reading was a source of dispute. Maggie wanted to deliver it quietly and alone -- a despairing moment of recognition. Neame and the producer argued that the talky final scene needed a bigger finish. Maggie gave in, but Neame (forty years later) thought that she was right after all.
@Rozsaphile That is really interesting! I'm torn because a part of me agrees with Dame Maggie's first option it makes sense that she should have ended the film truly alone, quietly shrinking unto herself. However, the scream she let's out at the end to me seems to be in character with her attitude and character. She is someone who loves to have the final word someone who love to live loudly. She knows she has lost, She knows she is ridiculous. Jean wants to think of her self as some great being who has been assassinated. Despite Sandy telling her why do you always have to strike at attitudes. Why do you always have to one up everything? Sandy moved in silence. Jean moved in extremes. Her last action is extreme because she is one who loves the drama of being extreme. I could be wrong but I prefer the one that was theatrically filmed. I can still here Jean scream Assassin! Thank you for your awesome comment. I really appreciate this and have a wonderful day!
Who does the captions on these, they’re always wrong. “The Ego that started this fight will never have a mirror, OR AN AUDIENCE…”. Not ‘A NAUSEA.’
The Kwisatz Hadderach was always intended to be a male, a male capable of surviving the spice agony. This would give the order access to the ancestral memory of the male line as well as the female. What Jessica was ordered to do was give birth to a daughter who would then be married to Feyd and then she would give birth to the Kisatz Hadderach. But Jessica's love for Duke Leto compelled her to give him a male heir, thus bringing about the Kwisatz Hadderach a generation before the Bene Gesserit intended which is what pissed them off about him.
Damn.
Paul isn’t an abomination…idk where you got that. They never use that word for him. It’s only used for Alia for obvious reasons.
I read the novel almost 40 years ago. I have used the mantra many many times in my life. In the military and in many other times. Thank you for highlighting it.
@gilesembleton Thank you very much for your comment. The mantra has a calming effect. I was on reddit and there were some reddit comments that said the Mantra borrows from Zen and Buddhist teachings which makes sense. The power of the words have helped me tremendously. I love so many things about this movie but it is so dark. esp. Daisy scenes. I love Brittany Murphy and she never got the credit she deserved. Yes, thanks for your narration and summary of this movie; I originally came here because of the opening music/song 'Jean".
Great video 👍. I love your choices and your reasons. I'd like to present as a possible example Tool's "Prison Sex." I believe all Tool videos from this time were stop motion and a bit on the creepy side, but pair this style with a song about a young victim of sexual abuse becoming the perpetrator, and I'd say it's up there.
@DebrathePaleoista, I want to thank you so much for watching my video and for providing your kind words of encouragement. I just saw the video you mentioned from Tool, and... Jeezus! That video was creepy as hell. I felt uncomfortable during the part the Black Leather started dancing in the darkness. Also, I didn't particularly appreciate how the Black Leather thing was pressing and poking the little bone doll's cracked face hole. Lastly, I can't describe it but I felt really awful when the little bone doll raised its arm at the end and the Black Leather demon held it back down. Tool has always been a band that I loved but feared and revered. They can tell stories through their songs that really go there. I admire bands that don't give a f**k and tell or sing stories that need to be said. Thank you again for sharing this video with me and I hope you have a great day!
Awesome videos keep it up 👍🏻
@sarahvee6665, Thank you very much for your kind words and support. Have a wonderful day!
I resonate with your video. Had the same feelings growing up about these three videos, too. The Jeremy video, in particular, always weirded me out because it reminded me of the Powder trailer. Specifically, when Powder is being hit by lightening in the classroom. I always imagined that it was how Powder actually died and the story given in the film was just a fake story to not scare Powder's classmates. Anyway, great job! :)
@AWarrenJohnson, Before I saw Powder I could not wait to see it and then I remember certain scenes from the film that made me very uncomfortable and I could not explain why and then I heard about the Director of the film being a real life monster. I love Sean Patrick Flannery's performance and the concept of the film but it is a film I never wish to see again. Thank you for your comment and have a wonderful day!
