I find it more likely that Kongo is split between the great powers.
Very good video, but I think Luxembourg (in this scenario also including current Belgian Luxembourg) would become independent in 1890. The reason why Luxembourg separated from the Netherlands is because it’s not allowed to have a queen in Luxembourg.

When the germans go trough the netherlands in this alternative timeline, they miss out on vital trade, meaning they could very well have collapsed earlier, or even decided it wasn't worth it to go trough the netherlands entirely. Belgium being part of the netherlands really forces the germans to either cut of all their trade, or go trough the most heavily defended part of france.... Not sure if they even want to fight a war at that point. Maybe they would have dug in on the border, being on the defensive while taking out russia first. Which would probably have collapsed earlier as the germans would have been able to commit more men if they didn't need to attack on the western front.
@@Bulbs_Productions Ah fuck I forgot about denmark... But germany mined the sea around denmark to prevent a british naval landing. Meaning the trade from denmark would be very limited. @@Bulbs_Productions they probably would, because the Dutch weren’t strong even if united with Belgium and Luxembourg and also the Germans could easily have caused internal conflicts by rallying up souther Catholics and arming them, not to mention how, more then likely, the Dutch would join the central powers because they could expand into northern france and how closely they were tied to Germany and their great relations with Germany

Being fully realistic here, the dutch aren't holding a german invasion, especially when they have Amsterdam encircled. The Netherlands would still get overrun, just not in the same level as in ww2. Best outcome, the germans get less of the Belgian and dutch coast close to the English channel, and Germany loses sooner because occupying more land means fewer soldiers doing something else.

France would've intervened and beat Russia
@@Bulbs_Productions nope because it would have pulled prussia and austria in too as they would fear france goes expansionist.
@@pietervanderzwaan4295 Prussia supported belgian independence for French buffer and UK would've joined france to stop Russia
I kinda expected to have The Netherlands just take over after WW1 and build Fietspaden throughout Europe.
The ideal scenario.
The Bicycle divisions unfortunately didn't prove effective in the trenches for some reason
@@Bulbs_Productions That's because there was no one there that said in Dutch: "wedden dat je het niet over dat gleufje redt?!" (I bet you can't clear that ditch!)
What is the last song used?
Land of hope and glory in Dutch
İyi seyirler
Being fully realistic here, the dutch aren't holding a german invasion, especially when they have Amsterdam encircled. The Netherlands would still get overrun, just not in the same level as in ww2. Best outcome, the germans get less of the Belgian and dutch coast close to the English channel, and Germany loses sooner because occupying more land means fewer soldiers doing something else.
Amsterdam was never encircled though?
@@Bulbs_Productions I mean, it was cut off from the rest of the netherlands
@@Bulbs_Productions but still, the dutch aren't that strong
@@jaizka you realise the Dutch were fighting alongside the entente and had British naval dominance? There is no realistic scenario where Germany could win WW1
@@Bulbs_Productions I didn't say that Germany could win, just read the end of my comment, I said that The Netherlands aren't too strong to hold out Imperial Germany like France was.
1:20 railways in 1828?
The first railway in the world was in Britain in 1825 for coal transport (Stockton-Darlington), in 1830 for passenger transport (Manchester-Liverpool), and the first on the continent in Belgium in 1835 (Brussels-Mechelen).
The great western railway was built in 1830 but railways for coal existed since 1798
@@Bulbs_Productions Those were just really short tracks for inside the mines. They were developed in the 1550s in Germany and were drawn by humans (often children) or pit ponies. Those were very much not long distance railways as we would recognize them today. The first steam locomotives wouldn't appear in coal mines until the 1870s.
@@AmedeeVanGasse actually many connected towns together, first to connect towns was in 1825
will you make a part 2
Great timeline
is there a part 2
not yet
Reminder: Boers literally did escape from the region you gave to Netherlands
Almost like I knew that and did it on purpose
"The French speaking Walloons and fLeMiSh speaking Flemings" ???
Ah yes just like the American speaking Americans and the Austrian speaking Austrians. Fine languages indeed....
