thanks for great tips, I have a question...when you go and start the job for a client who moves the furniture? How does it work in that business and how do you do that?thanks
Good job! I've never seen anyone use tin foil before. I might try that. Typically ceilings are rolled in the direction of the lights coming in, but isn't that critical as it's flat paint. I would use a bigger brush to cut the ceiling and walls. I would also do it wall by wall so that I can roll into wet cuts.
You get way more colour options to choose from if you get it tinted. It starts out as a white base and the paint machine just adds colours to the base and shakes it to give you the tint you want.
Can you recommend what paint to use on bare paint that has good grip because when I used Leyland trade it didn't grip onto the wood. Are you still using the crown fast flow
Yeah I like the crown fast flow. If it’s not griping very well it’s best to give it a good sand to create a key for the paint to lay onto. Primer can also help with this issue. Sand, prime, paint.
@@mikebolt9753 I'm decorating my council house so I don't want to spend a lot on paint but people are recommending Johnstone's aqua guard but that's expensive so I thought I would try a different brand. Do you know if you can buy a dedicated wood primer because they all seem to be primer undercoat now
Paint manufacturers have just put ‘trade’ on their paint and charge more for it, it’s just a money making thing with them, the retail paint you buy is exactly the same and can give just as good a job
BNspew use valspar bases regardless of what brand you use. If you use dulux in general get shades mixed in their bases. I daily use crown so get any other made in crown bases. Valspar not for me ,or many trade decorators in my area.

Depends, if their isn’t much I’ll move it, but if their is a lot I’ll ask them to move it before I start.

Yes. They are some great tips
I find the best way for a ceiling is a thick line along 2 edges then back and forth to join in the middle
I've never had paint tinted. Is that just to adjust the colour when the option you want isn't available as standard?

Yeah I think they are all generally primer / undercoats.
Why didn't you take the curtain pole down?
Should you use specific paint for radiators so it's not affected by the heat?
You can get radiator paint but I have never seemed to have a problem with the crown, so I just use that. Gives a good finish
