Thank you for this excellent demonstration . Can the Press fitting ( the one with O ring) be buried under mortar inside solid plaster wall ? Would it tolerate slight foundation / wall movements in the long term? Thank you for reading

I just did mines today, thanks to your video the hardest thing was that clip taking it out but watching you do it helped. My brackets had a lot of rust so took a wire brush on a drill and a file to clean it.

for #5, flip the bolt around so the head (and washer) are in the box and the remainder is outside in the bit holder...possibly no cutting needed

Good video with the Basin Waste Kit or Plumbers Mate, but its easy to do the fitting on a vanity basin. Try showing it on a pedestal basin in situ.

excellent job , only thing you forgot is to make a hole inside the BG outdoor socket, this will help the water to drain if there is any leakage. If you see inside the socket, left-hand side down there is place to make a hole.

Excellent guide but why use a magnetic screw holder if the screws are stainless.

For non electricians I suggest mounting the exterior socket outlet as shown, except I would use a socket outlet with an rcd. Plus instead of spurring off at the socket, use a simple plug top. This way you won’t have to touch any of the electrical circuit, you can isolate the outdoor socket at any time or fit a timer.

BNspew use valspar bases regardless of what brand you use. If you use dulux in general get shades mixed in their bases. I daily use crown so get any other made in crown bases. Valspar not for me ,or many trade decorators in my area.

I was impressed by the knife hand presentation of the drained fluids .

What if you don't have much space behind the plasterboard to push block of wood into, concrete wall 12mm or so after plasterboard?

Oooooh the Water Faries are gonna gittcha. You've done one test, and used 42,000 pints give or take. Them Faries is Irish Laddy.

I wiuld have used a fused spur internally - external power usage is notorious for fusing circuits and you do not want your ring mains going down. Also stainless steel srews cannot be held wih a magnet.

Do the inline connectors allow for 3 wires to go into in each one? So, 3 earths, 3 pos, 3 neutral etc. Every video I have seen shows only 1 per connection. Thanks

CT1 - The next plumber is not going to thank you - I would only use this for something that is non serviceable or not easily accessible, as that stuff is more like very very strong glue than sealant. It will definitely do the job, but good luck getting it back off again. - Great video apart from letting people know that the sealants are the worst option for re-visiting this job a few years down the line.
