Thanks for watching. I try and keep these videos short and sweet. I make no bones about it, I’m trying to sell the boat and anyone serious is going to want to see it in person. These quick tours help rule a boat in or rule it out for a potential buyer. I’ve only be doing these videos for about 12 months. Can’t believe how many people watch them. Thanks for watching!
Gosh, to be 30 years younger and have a wife that would take to the boating lifestyle. Price looks very right, deficiences seem to be the teak outside (mainly). Interior is great. Would add some electronics.
thanks Todd , would be an interesting little hobby project, I see lots of area for solar panels and a Tesla wall could run a major portion of this vessel if you set it up right wonder what the fuel capacity and fuel burn and range is ? Would be totally interested , but have a project on the go right now, lots of things you could do with this vessel to make it a lot of fun!
I thought after that I shouldn’t put it in the video. The boat will need about $25k - $50k to put in a mechanical and structural condition that most people would want if they’re looking at doing some traveling. Thanks for watching.
A lot depends on the HP rating and previous maintenance. Cat rates their engines in gallons of fuel used not hours. The higher the HP and harder you run them the shorter the life. 3208's are rated at 30000 gallons before overhaul. Personally I like sleeved engines that can be overhauled in place.
Thanks for watching and your comments. When you look at the video you can see the defects throughout the boat which are primarily cosmetic. I would be happy to have a conversation and go into detail. Thanks again.
Boat engines have 4,995 hours on them. Overhaul/rebuild/replacements are typically done at 5,000 hours for diesel engines. So this boat is about 5 hours away from possibly needing 2 new $25,000 engines (Cat 3208's), plus install costs, and many other components that are suggested to be replaced alongside those. Even considering that, it's still a low price which would lead me to believe there are a handful of other things wrong with it.
Nice boat for someone willing to do a little work. The design is a little wonky with such a big sundeck and small saloon. I guess that's just some isinglass away though.
Noted! I strive to keep these videos short. Looking at the analytics most check out after 2 minutes. The longer the video the quicker they leave. Thanks for watching
those who check out are not interested in that specific Boat. Those of us who are, would watch twice the video if it had the details. @@boatingthechesapeake6256

finally got her sold. good for you. still love this boat.
A very nice tour & presentation even tho you didn't open just about every single door like others do. Again I really enjoyed your tour.

That's a lot of boat for the money, I really like the layout too. A great liveaboard.
It’s a cool boat. Thanks for watching
Wow, the inside looks great.
The boat has a great layout with lots of space. Thanks for watching
I like this boat. I would probably buy it if I could.
Thanks for watching.
🙌 we have the 1990 Rivanna she’s a beauty!
Great boat. Thanks for watching
Great presentation thank you, I’m curious what the doc fees would be for this vessel ?
Wet and dry ?
Good question! Depends on where. In downtown Baltimore where it is now you’re probably looking at about 7-8k. Thanks for watching

Most of the defects are cosmetic and/or maintenance related. Thanks for watching

It’s a super cool boat that could easily be made into a great coastal cruiser. Thanks for watching.
I got a feeling there is a big problem in the engine room. It probably doesn't even start for 55k .....lol😂
The engines run and shift. Thanks for watching
@@boatingthechesapeake6256 my apologies I was joking due to the price tag 👍
No need to apologize. I just want to clarify thanks again for watching in your comments. Keep them coming.
Forgot the issues baked into the cake, at this price range.

5000 hrs on engines the lifespan is nearing that time to rebuild isn't it. Just asking
The engines are on the back side of their lifecycle. They can be rebuilt. That’s partly why the boat is priced where it is. Thanks for watching.
3208 cats have always been considered to be throw away engines ,they do not rebuild well.

You said it’s gonna have deficiencies because of the price point. You never mentioned what is deficient on the vessel. Can you expand? Than you

Boat's deficiency is 36 years old :)))) and folks would put 50k in it :)))

The layout isn’t t for everyone but 4 true staterooms is hard to duplicate in this size boat. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the video todd , informative but for christ sakes will you stop panning so fast all over the place ..!

Slow down the jerky movements of the camera, video is almost unwatchable.
