Channels like these mean so much to me.
My grandmother was full blood Japanese and that woman was my world when I was a child before losing her. I seen my grandmother more than I seen my mom.
My grandma resided here in the United States in Tennessee for my entire childhood and promised that she would take me to her home in Japan once I turned 13 years old.
My birthday is in July and she passed that spring before my 13th birthday.
I have an aunt that teaches English at a Japanese school here in Chicago but she doesn’t have any plans to go back to Japan any time soon.
I am DESPERATELY trying to find more out about my family in Iwaki Fukushima but I haven’t seen them since before I can remember when they came here to visit us from Japan.
I have stressed myself to max trying to find my family so I can get more in touch with my Japanese roots. My little family and I have spoke before about possibly moving to Japan with our children one day but the Japanese friends I have tell me that it may not be good for me as I am not full blood Japanese and I do not speak the language fluently so that kind of scared me out of making a permanent move there.
Anyway.

Also, You remind me so much of my mother when she was young! It gives me a feeling of comfort when I watch these as both my mother and grandmother are no longer with us.
Touching your feeling for your mother, your grandmother, the land of your ancestors... I wish you health and happiness! and one day your dream will come true and live in Japan! 🙏

Yeah as dumb and insane as this is gonna sound its true. Curry as we know it is english/british. The spices are obv originally from the whole spice trade etc stuff but yeah india doesnt have a curry in the way wed recognise it...at best its indian inspired. Its like how things we usually think of as a certain culture like chinese like fortune cookies are actually completely american or western. Theres many things in japanese culture that are now super japanese and assocoated with them but were originally from france and english etc cuisines that their cooks trained with then came back and sdjusted it to japanese ingredients and tastes and made it its own thing.

Interestingly enough, Japanese curry differ from Indian curry particularly in colour and texture. They are both awesome!
When I first saw you on Palo channel and watched you when you started. It's a blessing to see how far you've come I so happy to see your journey from being a new mom watching sutan grow right before our eyes now you have your own business. So many blessing 🙌🏾 will definitely be joining the club

This recipe looks so simple and delicious! I think my daughter would love to step on the dough to make udon too - she actually just had some udon and mentsuyu for dinner tonight! I also loved Sutan's gold jumper in this video. Will have to see if there's room in my budget to join Kimonoko Club!

I love curry and I like udon, and I was actually thinking about making curry in a few days from now. It's getting chilly here where I live too! Stamping on the noodles would be great at relieving stress. Sutan stamping on the noodles is one of the most adorable things I've ever seen!
The curry udon recipe looks appetizing. It’s basically a fusion of two or more existing dishes from other cultures. Would like to try this out one way or the other.

I miss Japan very much. I used to eat this everytime I visited Japan at least once. Loved it too. I'm glad they've dropped everything to be able to travel there again. I'm excited and planning a 2024 return to Japan now. It's a long way away but I'm excited either way. Loved the video keep them coming.
To me, the most delicious part of this cooking & Kimonoko club invitation is the Moe’s Japanese-English accent and the Sutan’ playful talks! 😋😘
Sutan will cook all these amazing dishes when she’s older & just like Moe, she’ll know how to do everything by scratch & make it the traditional way. I love that she’s learning to cook & she’s actually gotten better & better as she gets older. I always cooked with my mom & dad too, so I LOVE to just cook at home & rarely ever get fast food. Sutan seems to be developing her food preferences now. Last year she would eat anything but I've seen her be more vocal about what she does or doesn't like this year. She'll develop a taste for spice later I'm sure. Sutan is also growing in her skill as you now feel she's responsible enough to handle a knife (with supervision).

Take a 'Sutan'-sized portion of the curry sauce aside from the adult's full-strength batch and just add something to make the 'Sutan'-sized portion's flavour milder (i.e. does Sutan like apple puree?).

カレー作った翌日に、麺つゆと水入れて、刻んだ玉ねぎとうどんも入れて煮込んで、水溶き片栗粉を入れて出来上がり。１５分で出来ちゃう。簡単に作れるけど美味しい。
