Hey, Stormy, I've been subscribed to you for a while and want to get into live showing model horses. How would you apply sticky wax properly to a model's tack?
Sorry but I'm new Breyer showing and I have a show coming up. For the horses name do we have to put their real name that the box came with it? Or can we put the name that we thought of on the card even if they have a name from Breyer?
When you show a model you put their show name that you give them on the index card/tag :) When you're showing you don't need to put the model's original name on anything, unless you are showing in a collectability class/division then you'll want to put the original Breyer name, how many were made, etc. But for regular Halter classes you only need to worry about putting down the show name you've given your model. :)
There is generally 2 overall types of models you can show: Original Finish (OF) or Custom (CM). OF models are not painted or altered from their original state from how they were made in a factory. Custom models are models that are repainted either by the person showing them or by someone else. If you would like to show a custom of your own design, you can paint your own model and show it, but you certainly don't have to and can just show original finish models. I hope that makes sense and helps :)
Hi, is there anyone out there that recomends a places to show in the Uk? I'm getting a new model soon, and I might keep her as a Lsq model or something, but I don't know anywhere to show so if anyone has any suggestions, that'll be nice. Thanks, Ellie~

+TheAssholeProphet You just put a bit of the marker on the place where the horse has a small rub and then carefully rub with your finger to blend it. It's really only a temporary fix though for any last minute model boo boos :) I'll try and make a video more about how to do it in the future.
+StormyStrikesChannel ahh I see I have a few models with minor scratches or rubs from when I didn't put their coats on properly and they were knocked off my shelf
