  • Welcome to Technique Tuesday! In this video, we’ll look at how to cut a dovetail joint using hand tools. This can make your piece stand out and really move on from just attaching pieces of wood together.

It's very difficult to find an active TH-cam Woodworker in the UK unless you go straight to Peter Sellers.
Your vids are a great blast of fresh air from the stuff I usually see from our cousins in America. Their stuff is great but not everyone in the UK has access to every power tool known to man housed in a massive basement or workshop and their videos inspire a level of anxiety in that we must have those tools to work well with wood whereas your videos bring it back to the basics and is a very unpressured, informative approach.
I am going to be checking out the rest of the video content asap!

@@KingBespokeCreationsthanks for the beginners lessons. I have always wanted to learn this but most videos show using a jig and router...frustrating.
Can you please explain what is the difference of using the round mallet and other ones...I keep asking people but they either don't answer or it's sentimental bcuz it was given to them

@@fdort3971 I find with a flat mallet, you have to be extremely precise with the face of it. If you hit the chisel ‘wonky’ it will push it sideways and ruin your work. A round mallet will strike true more often than not.

"Dreich" is an often used word, but one of my favourites is "scunnered" (watch everyone head to Google to see what the words mean ......... )

King Bespoke Creations I bet. It’s one that I’m most scared of at the moment. Was thinking about getting a Katz-Moses jig, but after seeing your homemade one, I’ll try and make my own I think.

King Bespoke Creations I see. That makes sense. That’s for confidence to give it a try.
