I'm finally putting finish on my first dovetailed chisel box and I used your guide to make the dovetails and at first I was a little nervous about messing them up so I left my boards a couple inches wider so I could cut off my bad first practice dovetails but I didn't have too LOL My box has turned out great especially for my first ever dovetails that I have ever cut. Thank you so much for the guide and the in depth videos on how to use it.

Don't understand how you can start without a measurement using dividers to get equal measurements. Seems something would have to be measured first then divided by number of tails desired? Someone help, cause I'm lost with this.

Could you tell me if this was a 1:6 or 1:8 ratio and where I can purchase the kit and both types of saws.
Also which ratio is stronger and which would work for smaller thinner wood or does it need to be a certain thickness minimum.

The saw dust trick is better if you mix the glue and saw dust in a small pot and then scrape that into the gaps.. Its better for over the years if people decide to rework the poject sanding it and such.. the way you done it, If it gets sanded a few to many times the saw dust will soon vanish and show the old glue.

If you have to put finish on it the glue may not let the stain or finish absorb in all situations. Save yourself some trouble and use the saw dust in some finish to fill. That way it will take the finish perfectly.
