Johto is the Pokemon region that has arguably been requested the most to receive a Pokemon Legends game of its own. While Pokemon Legends Z-A has currently put that on hold for a bit, what could it be like if we do eventually get a Pokemon Legends Johto game someday? Things I want from Legends Johto game if it does happen.
1. I want the true identity of the 3 Pokemon that died in the fire and was revived as Entei, Raikou and Suicune.
2. I want to witness the tower being enfulfed in flames and Ho-oh reviving the 3 beasts.
3. I want to see what Lugia was doing prior to moving to the whirl islands.
4. I want full disclosure as to what secrets are within the ruins of alph.
5. I want to see how Lance's clan developed and their influence to the region and if they have a connection with Zinnia and the draconids people.
6. I want more details and lore about the Sinjoh ruins.
Eh, you are going to have to wait for Kitakami to be fleshed out if you wan Sinjoh lore.

A legends johto game where the last quest is you have to take your 3 eevees into a tower to shelter them from the storm and you hear a crack as you and your eevees are consumed by the fire of the burnt tower.
The Lugia and Ho-Oh forms are simply stellar. I love how Ho-Oh gets Lugia's Type and Lugia displays a new found one.

The proto Beast designs look incredible and keep elements to the fan theory that the three Nameless Pokemon were Jolteon, Flareon and Vaporeon

I love your concept idea! I'd definitely add a few things though. Agree/Disagree comments are always welcome.
1. Legendary Birds for Lugia; Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres would work like Raikou, Entei and Suicune as boss battles and be captured post-game. Their Galar forms can be obtained later through the story progression.
2. Tower Worshippers; like the clans of Hisuine, one would represent Ho-Oh (Rainbow clan) and the other Lugia (Silver clan) who you have to make peace and reunite in Ecruteak to live in harmony once more. Other clans emerge through the story like the Guardians of the Forest (Celebi) and the Draconoids clans (Dragon's Den) and you have to earn their trust as the story goes along.
3. I agree with starting with the tower burning. Including the birds above in a fight as the clans clash at the start of the game. The fighting begins, causing panic amongst the townsfolk. Lugia flees, the legendary birds follow just after. Ho-Oh descends upon the burning tower and shrieks out, resurrecting the trio. Their power is too much so they stare down humanity before fleeing into the wilderness.
4. PokéDex; Like the Hisuine region, you're charged with helping make the first PokéDex for the Johto Region alongside uncovering the Legendary mysteries. This gets given to you just after the initial story begins (see above) and works the same as Legends Arceus in that you complete tasks to complete the Dex entries.
5. Jet/Silver never changes; Ethan/Krys' ancestors get the starter that's weak against yours and will help you in the wilderness with certain tasks or double battles. Jet/Silver will eventually steal the starter that's stronger than yours.
6. Choose your legendary; You pick one, Jet/Silver gets the other. Upon making your choice and following the story, you learn about their Sunrise and Moonrise forms. Requiring the Clear Bell and a blessing to be able to activate their power. You get the powerful form, Jet tears through the other clan and claims the other for himself. He only gets it's regular normal form where you get their powerful version. After capturing it, you're challenged to a battle. Upon defeating him at the Whirl Islands (Lugia) or the Tin Tower (Ho-Oh) he flees and doesn't reappear for a long while.
7. Giovanni's ancestor; The big bad of the game pulling the strings of Jet/Silver into bringing him the other box cover legendary who takes from his son to battle you atop Mt. Silver by forcing the Pokémon to transform into it's alternate form. This gets discovered late in the main story and you race to the top of the mountain. Jet is defeated and left in the snow, your turn. The story unravels that Giovanni knows who you are and has waited for this moment for a long time. Their team is surprisingly strong against your team, like strong against your starter. Upon winning the battle, regardless of who you choose, Ho-Oh attacks Giovanni and sends him off the mountain.
Post-game
I agree with another comment that in the post-game you get to work with Celebi to go back in time. Here's my pitch;
You return to the Brass Tower with the Rainbow Wing and attempt to win Ho-Oh's trust to allow you to train it's babies (pre-resurrected Raikou, Entei and Suicune) and return them when done. Once this is done, you encounter an intruder in the Brass Tower who tries to take the babies for themselves: Giovanni.
A battle takes place. As the battle concludes, Giovanni throws his Pokémon into the flames and calls them worthless. He flees, you try to save the babies but they fall through the floor. As Celebi gets you to safety, you see the events from the start take place.
Yeah, I really thought through this...
Last I checked, Legends Arceus takes place AFTER the Brass Tower burned down in Johto. It is mentioned by Beni before you fight Komodo at the Temple of Sinnoh.
I’m imagining a beautiful cutscene at the end when we finally see the pre-Legendary beasts. After we’ve entered the tower and work our way down, it cuts to finally revealing these 3 adorable pups just playing with each other, running around the tower, jumping around and showing off their strength. Then when they spot us, they gleefully start running toward us because they can feel our power and purity as a trainer and they trust us. And then just before they get too close, Celebi conveys to us that it’s time to go back and pulls us back to our present time. So we never get to catch them, perhaps never even learn their names, because honestly we were never meant to. But at least after 20+ years, the fandom finally gets the closure of seeing what these Pokémon originally were…
Amazing job dude, especially with the idea of revealing the 3 nameless Pokemon with Celebi, that's a super smart move. Speaking of reveals, even though Pokemon, historically, was indeed not a story-heavy series, it defiantly start to become more and more story driven, as not only there's so much lore for basically every region, but the stories of the games have become so much better. Gen 4 and 5 got excellent stories, and then Legends Arceus and SV got excellent stories also, all with compelling characters, on top of the lore.
I really like the designs for Lugia and Ho-Oh! Sunrise Ho-Oh looks very majestic and deity-like, while Lugia looks ominous and menacing, much like Shadow Lugia and I think that’s very cool! If I could change one thing, it’d be the form name of Lugia. Instead of it being called the “Sunset” form, I’d call it the “Moonset” form because the dark and ominous theme would be like Lugia descending into darkness, hence the dark coloration of that form.
I have some ideas for Pokemon Legends Paldea.
The settings & plot could be:
- Set during imperial Iberia (somewhere in 16th century or 17th century) where they want to travel beyond Paldea to get non-native mons from there.
(Could make sense somehow even if it wasn't mentioned in game)
Or...
- Set during 19th Century Iberia where Heath was alive and makes a research about Area Zero and it's depths.
Starters could be alluding to historical era of Iberia.
- Chespin - the Roman era.
- Charmander/Chimchar - Medieval/Arabian conquest era
- Sobble - Early modern era

I would hope that if the Pokemon Legend Johto was true, there would be an old Japanese samurai castle in Cherrygrove City and in the castle the player could find the fourth legendary beast called Tennō that would resemble Arcanine with silver colored fur and Steel type.
As a reference to the Legendary Pokemon that was the OG "Mentor" of the Legendary Bird Trio?

Similar to Bill's sister giving you an eevee, perhaps you could obtain one from an ancestor when thinking about the ranch / box system. Maybe this area is part of the national park or route 34 breeding center.
Then later a Kamino girl in ecruteak could also give you an evolution item. The item depends on which starter you picked, as to give you a type matchup
I thought the trio were just Jolteon, Vaporeon, & Flareon reborn? Same typing. Eevee was an emphasis in the same town as Ho-Oh/burning tower.
I hope in the Legneds Johto game, Lugia will be change into a water/flying type.

Ooo, if we get a legends game set in roughly the same time period as PLA, do yiu think we could end up seeing Volo again? Maybe we could get more of his backstory for why he wanted to meet Arceus or what happened to him after we defeated him at the ruined Temple of Sinnoh.

I have a few ideas. For the rockruff version you could have the evolution be much more colorful in the sense to make the evolution based on love and how much you loved it. Give it a happier ending. And for the last part with celeb you could go back before the fire in the tower and decide that the action of you going inside to explore triggers something. You find the pokemon that were to die in the fire and they use their skills to get you the player safe out of the tower while it burns. The pokemon of course get trapped inside and are rewarded with their act to save you to be reborn as the legendary beast. Idk. Just an idea.

I like the story you've crafted for this hypothetical game, but there are some Pokémon that I would give Johtonian forms/variants.
1) Johtonian Joltic & Galvantula Ghost/Bug Type- These Pokémon would be based on the spider women myths of Japanese legends and would be known as night predators, capable of attack their prey with a powerful signature Ghost Move, Spectral String. (Ghost Type move)
2) Johtonian Crawdaunt Water/Fighting Type- These Crawsaunts have become a rare breed that loves to fight and have learned to go toe to toe to face the stronger conditions of the Whirlpool Islands. They've also mastered the Snipe ability to deliver devastating blows.
3) Skarmory Evolution Tengurmor Flying/Steel Type- Skarmorys that have battled and won many battles reach the legendary status of Tengurmor. This means their armored bodies have gained special properties to command the winds and lightning of the skies. Signature move- Piercing Cyclone (Electric/Flying move)
4) Johtonian Litwick, Lampant & Chandelure Fire/Fairy Type- This evolutionary line resembles living fire spirits that live in lanterns, the older they are the more intense their flames. This Johtonian line possesses a new ability known as Enchanting Fire, it can counter any physical moves by causing confusion and burns.

The Legends series is the perfect plan for a new Johto game. The biggest problem with a new Johto game is the inclusion of Kanto essentially rendering it unable to stand alone as its own region. If you couldn’t access the Kanto region in a new Johto game people would consider it a ripoff. However the Legends series specializes in making small areas feel much bigger so you could actually get away with just johto.
as a nod to the legendary beast / eevee theory, perhaps we could have a johtonian or converent species (like wiglett etc) of the Eeveelutions.
Could explain how they died out but also how the real life fan theory became misinformation / unreliable narrators.
Or on the topic of Eevees: We have your sunset and sunrise lugia and hooh. Perhaps as a nod to this old theory, we could link them to new forms of espeon and umbreon
My idea is you being a Ginko Guild bodyguard who establishes trade routes for trade between villages and Johto and Kanto. You can control the routes by capturing the boss of the routes with a special pokeball made by Kurt’s ancestor.
I'm surprised you didn't include your design for a 4th legendary pup, the sick ghost type one you dreamed up. That design was sick! Nice video regardless, great concept!

I might be an oddball, but considering the rough timeframe the Legends games have been set in, I would rather see a Legends: Indigo, featuring both Johto and Kanto. Set in the equivalent of the Meiji Restoration, it would feature the decline of Ecruteak (Kyoto) and rise of Saffron (Tokyo) in regional power. As the regional capitol shifts from Ecruteak to Saffron, a civil war arises, leading what was once a unified region to split back into two. It could have shades of Pokemon Conquest as callbacks to when Ransei (Japan) was originally unified hundreds of years before Legends: Indigo. The player would try to be a peacemaker, in the end leading to what is more akin to modern Japan, with the regions ending up being separate administrative parts of an overall whole in a modern Ransei (which would explain the modern Indigo League). It could also be a direct prequel to Legends: Arceus that way, to mirror how Hokkaido became a prefecture.
Then again, I'm also the oddball who twitches when Dragapult is said to be an aircraft. Dreepy, yes, but the rest of the line to me are clearly not, but are aircraft carriers (support carriers/carrier tenders and full on fleet carriers respectively). It's even in Dragapult's name - older carriers used equipment called catapults built into their flight decks to launch their airplanes, just like Dragapult launches Dreepys as weapons. Modern naval aircraft can go fast enough that catapults are not really needed anymore, mirroring the Dreepy line being Ghosts as older planes and most older carriers that survived wartime service were just scrapped or used as test targets for newer ships and weapons,with a precious few preserved as/in museums.

Here are some ideas for this Legends game like like:
- You can meet the ancestor of the Kimono Girls who has a new Eeveelution(s), & they get involved with finding Ho-oh & Lugia
- Lyra’s or Professor Elm’s ancestor could be maybe Ken’s assistant
- The Dragon's Den could be an important spot to meet another regional Pokémon which Clair’s ancestor is control of
And overall excellent idea! I think this ties together all the loose ends perfectly, and tells a super compelling and interesting story. One thing I want so much from this is the exaggerated themes of Japan, with the same musical stylings and white night, Johto it’s already pretty heavily inspired by that whole era, but I want more of it, especially in the music. Would love to see this happen in the future, and I think that this is genuine, the best way to do it.
Moon Rise sounds better for that Lugia design
While i love the new design and form of Lugia, i would have chosen a Psychic / Water type, and maybe a name like "Moon Tides form", calling back to it's origin and the Sun theme of Ho-oh.

In a plot twist, it turns out the three pokemon that died in the fire and were reborn were the three beasts you bring back in time with you, creating some kind of weird time loop
I think the locations of the towers in Jhoto could serve as great boss battle locations. Sprout Tower, Lighthouse, the Radio Tower (with Celebis help) can all serve as boss locations. Ecruteak having 2 towers could have the first and last boss of the game. Maybe there were more in ancient Jhoto. Also what role would the Unknown play? Would Arceus be a secret boss?

You know Hoops, in Utah where you live you can found the biggest living organism on the planet that happens to be a colony of the white tree with golden leaves that you mentioned.
I feel that better candidates for Johto Legends starters would be Sobble, Fennekin, and Turtwig. Sobble because everyone thought it was going to be a Shakespeare reference but then ended up being a James Bond 007 reference. Intelleon has the least amount of fan art of the Galar trio, which implies fan dissatisfaction. Feudal Japan had kabuki and Noh theater, I feel they could work theatrics from Sobble line.
Fennekin because almost everyone seems to agree Braxian looks better than Delphox, Delphox needs another pass, her design could easily translate into a shrine priestess.
Turtwig because... kind of process of elimination, kind of because of the fan made trailer of Legends Celebi that had regional variant Torterra as a grass/fairy type being a Sakura tree that I feel works really well.
Dragapult line as regional pseudo-legendary? Eh... sure. But I disagree with your choice to give the box Legendaries new forms, everyone seems to have missed the point of why it was done for Hoenn and Sinnoh. Anyway, you also completely missed the lore on what the legendary beasts were pre-resurrection, we've known the whole time. Here's a hint, it's no coincidence the typing trio matches the original eeveelutions type trio.
And while I'm at it, the Johto games both original and remake included Kanto in the postgame for a reason. Johto isn't really meant to function as its own region, it's more of an extension to Kanto. But making a Legends version of Kanto would not only equate a whole additional game, Kanto is kind of overexposed at this point. What isn't overexposed is the Sevii islands, only in the gen 3 Kanto remakes, could use some fleshing out. Maybe the plot justification can be establishing the first Pokémon League.
Also the Orre region from Colosseum and XD Gale of Darkness. We know it used to have wild pokémon but doesn't anymore for mysterious reasons, perhaps that reason can be explored.

The regional forms of the starters don't follow the traditional type triangle used with starters' secondary typings. If you keep Incineroar's type, Quaquaval would need to be Water/Flying and Sceptile would need to be Grass/Fighting.

I feel like a Johto game could have a side plot about being some of the very first people to use the first iterations of Pokeballs!
Johto is already known for all the Apricorn trees, which are a critical component for their construction. You could share this info via a Celebi time travel cutscene, or by visiting the family who can talk about how they invented them. It could be a central plot motivator, too- for example, if an opposing faction declared Pokeballs to be bad. You may have to prove to them that the power of friendship prevails and whatnot.
For a Legends Johto Game, i think it would actually be way cooler to have a Legends Johto AND Legends Kanto all in one
Perhaps its called the Silver Region due to Mt. Silver in the middle! And maybe the main village could be Indigo Village, on what would eventually become Indigo Plateau

I absolutely love this, but I have two things I'd change:
1. Make Lugia's form a Water/Psychic-type. Face it: All of us want Lugia to better live up to its title as Guardian of the Sea, so having a form for it become Water-type will finally bring us full circle.
2. Celebi should play a bigger role in the story in my opinion. I appreciate that postgame quest of it taking the player back in time before the tower burned down so they can battle/catch the pre-revived Legendary Beasts, but I wish it would do more in the main story as well. I'm not really expecting the game to be named after it since Z-A has shown that Legends games won't always be named after a Legendary/Mythical Pokémon, but still.
I hope Lugia can escape it's cursed psychic type.

If you do make a branched evolution for Herdier, I'd recommend you make its evolution a reference to Shep. Shep is a Border Collie who lost his master and he lived at the train station in Fort Benton, Montana. Similar to Johtonian Rockruff, but it ties into American lore.

Having the Generation 2 and 4 designs should be a good thing, even for other Pokémon games.
For me, I want (if there's Legends: Johto) Celebi will be the one to show the whole story, by jumping through time where Legendary Beast reincarnated, and how Lugia and Ho-oh protects the Johto region.. There will be maybe an evil or Currupted by time Celebi that can summon all Paradox Pokemon..
I wonder what would happen if we were to ever get one for Alola: Legends Necrozma.
We know that Necrozma blessed the Alola region many times in the past, its light crystallizing into Z-Crystals. It has a LOT of lore potential with Necrozma, the Ultra Beasts, and the Tapu's. Perhaps it could take place in the distant past, and the story involves Ultra megalopolis hunting down Ultra Necrozma for its light, causing it to freak out, flee to the Alola region, and create wormholes and start an Ultra Beast war with the people and Pokemon of Alola.
Personally I think Celebi should also briefly send you forward in time to around the time of gold and solve and again we get to see Red and maybe Blue, mainly because obviously traveling to the past was already done in PLA, and the MC being FROM the past makes that more cool to me
I like what you’re going for but I think the ending needs to be much more dramatic if you want to match the shock and awe of the final legends battle against Giratina so hear me out
After your rival obtains their legendary you chase them back to Ecrutique city where they plan to use the power of their legendary to force Celebi to turn back time so he can go back and defeat you and everyone else in his way, you of course follow and the final battle between you two commences… inside the brass tower, as your battle escalates fires begin to pop up in the background of the battle until your rival’s final Pokemon is defeated then it goes into a cutscene where your battle has set the tower ablaze, your rival succumbs to the smoke and passes out and depending on owner ship either you order or if its own loyalty Lugia takes your rival to safety, you then plead with Ho-oh to stop the fire and together you both descend the tower and do what you know needs to be done and sacrifice the sunrise and sunset artifacts to give Ho-oh the power to revive the 3 dying pokemon as the legendary beasts before the 5 of you triumphantly escape the explosion and return to your own time

I love this idea but I feel like rockruffs form should look more like the midnight for but with your designs colour palette and I know Lugias new form name is a reference but I feel like it would be better if it was the moonrise form as it is also connected to time passing and it would connect Lugia more to the tides of the ocean being linked with the moon
I think gamefreak should wait until Nintendo makes a more powerful system before making a legends Johto game. That way they can tie in Kanto too.

There is so much they could do with a Legends Johto. Like obviously the various legends of Ecruteak City. But think about things like the Ruins of Alph, the Legend of Slowpoke Well and the GS Ball and Ilex Forest. They could even do something with the Lake of Rage and Whirl Islands, and Bellsprout Tower. And of course the Sinjoh Ruins could tie it to Legends Arceus too.
They could even use some of the old Beta Pokemon, e.g. Beta Suicune, Raikou, and Entei before they were resurrected. Oh and Beta Celebi could be a counterpart to regular Celebi, it could even be the one in the GS Ball rather than regular Celebi.
Edit: i just really want to see some of those Beta Pokemon finally make it to a game. I think a Legends game would be perfect for them because then we can just say they went extinct long before GSC/HGSS to justify their absence from present day Pokemon World. Maybe some of them could even be ancestors to Pokemon that replaced them...if that makes sense.
Edit: meeting thr nameless Pokemon like that would be amazing...and if you've got a sadistic side and are a sucker for a bittersweet ending maybe the lightning strikes during the meeting and Celebi brings you back before you can interfere. Or maybe it brings you outside the tower to witness the aftermath and before Celebi brings you back to the present you get a glimpse of Ho-Oh flying away and see three glimmers of light and the shapes of mysterious Pokemon rising from the ashes of the tower indicating the Pokemon live again. We of course know its Suicine Raikou, and Entei, i realise how morbid i sound but i feel like finally meeting these unnamed Pokemon should make us want to cry on some level we can have both a moment of sadness and a moment of bittersweet happiness too because we see them moments before they die but we know what became of them later.
What if, in the postgame. you move the Jet fight to "back in time" and have the fire be caused by the player vs rival fight. Got to be careful but you could really open up some fun bootstrap paradoxes: why he's hunting the legendary in the future, his grudge with you, why ho-oh revived the pokemon after the accident of the fight, why ho-oh might recognize you etc.
Would tie in nicely to your comment about the final battle with Red
Idea for a ability for ho oh is healing sun which is like leftovers but stronger not twice as strong but stronger and also applies to allies on the field so essentially doubles ho oh is what this ability is
I would change treecko for Chespin, which is a little bit better and deserves some love. But at least, treecko's final Evo is much better than the ugly sceptile
I would definetly go for Incineroar and Ho-Oh´s forms, aside from that, we all know Lugia should´ve been Water/Flying, and thus this version would be Water/Dark, but this works aswell.
I can't believe that Legends Johto wouldn't be Legends Celebi, or at the very least, feature Celebi prominently. That's what I think Legends Arceus implies the format is like. I'll have to see Z-A to see if the pattern(?) holds up though.
Similarly, Hoenn really should a game entirely based around Jirachi... Whew, now Jirachi is a fun can of worms...

that would be so amazing game. I love legendaries, young beasts. However i don't like starter choice. But Scpetile looks cool as hell.
I like all of this especially using Legends Johto to bring life to beta designs, though making Shadow Lugia real could come about in ZA as a means to explain the Sea Spirit's Den in Kalos, possibly explaining how the Galar Birds truly came about. Legends Johto could definitely overlap with Kanto given how interconnected the two regions are.

This legends game should cover up all the mysteries of johto while introducing lots of new never before seen Pokémon
