Finally. A video that actually shows step by step on how to do things. I’m going to be getting one of these clutches in the next couple of days for my 2017 Polaris RZR 1000 S. Thank you for such a detailed video. Please keep them coming. I’m new to the clutch, secondary and belt maintenance and replacement.
This video is for how to do this ON THE TRAIL with no pneumatic tools. You can bring these tools with you on the road. Factory clutches have the same failure rate as ours or greater.
Where can I purchase this 10.4 grade primary bolt? I bought your primary clutch yesterday and my bolt is bent which caused the sheath on my Polaris OEM clutch 11:31 to crack upon installation.
I have a situation where the outer part of the primary came off, but the bolt and the inside part are still in place (the primary literally fell out when I took the cover off). How do I get the inside part off if the outer is not in place? Will the puller tool still work? Forgive me if I sound dumb, but I'm new at this and trying to learn to do things myself.
Hope I can get a reply on this as I’ve been thinking about trying these clutches out. Do they make a set for 31” tires and will it affect the tuned ecu by Gilomen ? I bout this with the tune and a clutch kit with adjustable weights. Hope I can buy a set from mother clutches that I can run without having the tune changed
Mine didn’t come with that new bolt. After install my rzr on down hill breaking sounds like it’s skipping and on hard acceleration engine sounds like it’s hitting rev limiter. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Just ordered a full mother clutcher bundle for my 15 rzr 1000 xp4. I run 32” tires and was told this clutch is for stock so my question is, will it be ok to run the clutch as is with the 32’s for now until I can get a good big tire clutch kit? I’ve read and heard so many different answers so I figured I’d ask here. Thanks
I bought a set of clutch from him and and got 4 ride out of them the primary cluch lock up an called about the warranty and he said that i did not buy it from him
Sorry for the delay. Harvey suggests no full throttle for the first 50-70 miles and doing mixed driving of all types except no full throttle to get the best life out of the belt.
I've tried to take my clutch off with a breaker bar as well but the back of the clutch spins. I have a breaker bar in place of course. Has anyone else had this issue? I haven't been to able to find anything about it.
It sounds like possibly that the spider nut has come loose in the primary clutch allowing the hollow shaft that runs through the center of the clutch to move independently from the rest of the clutch. Basically the clutches shaft and lower sheave may be spinning on the crankshaft as the bolt is loosened. This video above is more a how to do clutches in a pinch that you don’t have access to power or air tools but if you have access I think using a electric or air impact gun to loosen the bolt may get you to the next step.
Harvey I made a post about Your Clutches on the RZR Forum....have some people saying buy cheap get cheap and some people saying theyve had really great luck out of your clutches, can you jump in the thread and give some input. Thanks ! Hope to be doing business with you soon.
We test them continuously. We have a lower failure rate than the OEM models. We are trying to create the best clutch for the best price. I think I know exactly what forum you’re speaking of and sadly that was posted by the son of a competitor business owner. Sad. We stay in our lane. We only care about what we’re doing. We hope you do business with us. We stand behind everything we sell. We are riders just like our customers.
I really hope you jump in and give us some good info to go off of about the clutches in my thread.....alot of guys have some really nice things to say about your clutches.....my name on the forum is whitelightning16....counting on you buddy

is it ok to tighten to 100 lbs I know it calls for 96 lbs but my torque bars for my impact are 90 and 100?
If you have stock tires these might work, but the belt slips for me on 35s.
I just found your TH-cam channel!!!!
