  • This is the BEST Homemade Stain Remover EVER! It's easy, thrifty and inexpensive! It contains everyday household items, and is SUPER EFFECTIVE! Get the stains out the first time! No bleach is involved in this super thrifty mixture!
This homemade stain remover removes stains such as:
    Grass Stains
    Sweat Stains
    Dirt Stains
    Blood Stains
Leaking Colors (when clothes bleed into one another)
    Ketchup Stains
    Carpet Stains
    Baby Stains and Messes
    and so much more!
    Ingredients:
    Regular Concentration:
    1 Part Baking Soda
    3 Parts Hydrogen Peroxide
1 Part Dawn ORIGINAL BLUE Dish Detergent
    Ingredients:
    Extra Strength Concentration:
    2 Parts Baking Soda
    1 Part Hydrogen Peroxide
1 Part Dawn ORIGINAL BLUE Dish Detergent
    Directions:
    1. Select your formula and mix the baking soda, hydrogen peroxide and Dawn ORIGINAL BLUE (it HAS to be DAWN ORIGINAL.. No other flavor or scent will work!!). Make sure to shake the bottle, sprayer bottle etc. well to ensure that the three ingredients are incorporated properly
    2. Apply to stain.
    3. Depending on the severity of the stain, allow the mixture to work for at least 30 minutes.
    4. Before laundering, rub the the mixture into the stains. Launder the items as usual.
Like I said, this mixture is AMAZING!! Stains do not stand A CHANCE when it comes to this all natural stain remover!! It cost me $1 for the hydrogen peroxide and baking soda, and I got the Dawn on sale for $2. In total, it cost me $4, which is WAY CHEAPER than the price of stain removers like SHOUT, PLUS I get much more effectiveness in stain removal as well as MUCH MORE PRODUCT!
So try this stain remover out. You will love it, PROMISE!

Really hurt my feelings cause these are the most expensive shoes I’ve bought. & this worked like a charm with only one application! Thank you so much.

I HAD to come back to this video to say thank you. I know this vid is old but the remover recipe is TIMELESS. I thought my jacket was ruined, I wore it for New Years Eve 2014 --- a whole 5 YEARS ago -- so those stains were beyond set in. At this point I figured I'd never wear it again so thought I'd give this a try. I let the mixture sit all day while I went to work and when I came back they were GONE. I rinsed it to be sure. I couldn't believe it, I really really wish I had taken a before picture because I had stains everywhere (even I don't remember where they came from LOL). The jacket has a silk lining and the solution worked, the neckline, the sleeves, my makeup rubbing on it. I'm amazed. I got ALL of these ingredients at dollar tree and this worked better than any dedicated stain remover product I've ever bought thank you thank you thank you!

Dawn isn't available where I live; I think any dish detergent will work.! Also you should use a dark coloured bottle or the peroxide loses it's effectiveness when exposed to light, and essentially becomes water! (That's why it's sold in a dark bottle).

Well just beware that not all dish liquids are the same … I’ve used many different kinds, I love Mrs Meyers with all the different scents, makes doing dishes enjoyable… BUT when it comes to stains, nothing works as well as dawn dish liquid… you know when they have those horrid oil spills n they have to rescue waterfowl. ?? They use dawn to clean up all the birds because it cuts grease so well and fast too … if I find something at the thrift store , especially T shirts , people usually give them away cuz if food stains n just dab some dawn on those stains n let it sit for awhile before you throw it in the washer.. that’s always been my go to .. buy some online if you can’t find it where you live … that’s what I’d do or have somebody that loves you like a sister or friend mail you some n you’ll understand why we all live that stuff. !!!

I tried this method on my husband's Ralph Lauren Polo shirts. He had three of these shirts that had small grease splatters on them. As we know these shirts are around $60 to $80.00 a piece so I was on the hunt to save them. Let me tell you...THIS STUFF WORKED!!! We were AMAZED and went on the hunt looking for other articles of clothing to clean. I cleaned my sweater that had an ugly neck ring and a t-shirt of my husband's that had sweat stains. Fels-Naptha soap bar in the laundry aisle works too. Wet it, rub the stain, throw the garment in the hamper or washer. No rinsing necessary. Very old fashioned, costs around $2 maybe, and it's always gotten the stains out, especially under arm. Keep it by the hamper and use it as you take off your clothes. It can wait for laundry day.

Thanks for putting this together! It worked on a stain on a pair of jeans. Unfortunately it didn't work on a stain on a white sweater (I used the extra-strength version on that one). One other thing I realized: If you mix this up in a bottle and you're going to use it right away, you can fill it to the top of the bottle. But if you're mixing it up to use later, only fill it to about 3/4 of the bottle. The mixture expands inside the bottle! (Found that out the hard way!)

I have sensitive skin and I did this on a stained shirt I had. About 10 seconds after I put the shirt down my hands started to sting and burn. My skin started peeling off. I immediately washed my hands for about 2 minutes and put on some lotion and that helped. I suggest you ether rub the liquid in with a towel, with your hands covered, or you immediately wash your hands after!

I just put a drop of dawn on stain, put some baking soda on that, rubbed to make a paste, put a drop of hydrogen peroxide. Waited 5 minutes, washed and it came out. I never pre-rinsed either. Some stains that don’t come out completely, I’ve heard put in sunlight.

I tried this on some dark mystery stains (maybe blood or dark dye color stains from other clothes?) on my true blue blouse and some oil/grease and coffee stains on one of my slippers. Used a toothbrush to work it deep into the items and let them sit for 1 hour before washing them in DIY laundry detergent. The coffee stains in the slipper and dark mystery stains in my blouse *are still there.* Perhaps repeat the process so the stains come out gradually?

I'd say. It isn't perfect, depending on what stained it, it may not come out. I had some blue jeans from Old Navy that stained my pink Guess jacket. This recipe could only lighten the stains. It'll take a few tries for me to get it back to the original color. I'd say, don't give up ❤️

It truly is THE BEST cleaner! Another tip: you can further dilute it with more peroxide and put it in a spray bottle for cleaning mattresses, pillows, and padded furniture.
You will want a good spray bottle so it doesn’t clog from the baking soda, and don’t go over the 20% ratio. Just use less dawn and more peroxide since you won’t be rinsing it out.
Then you just spray it on, let it dry and vacuum off the baking soda residue. You don’t even have to scrub it! It is nothing short of miraculous!
I used it on a down chair and memory foam mattress from a house where they smoked cigars and had cats everywhere! They were so nasty, I never thought in a million years they could be saved, and I swear to god it worked!
Try it, you will not be disappointed.

If u have blood stains from ur period(old/new).
If u have any stains at all. Use it.
I added oxi clean too n it worked exceptionally well. U might want to do more than 1 treatments of the mixture to get the results if u hand wash like me but USE IT.

Ill try this out if My favorite white shirt still comes out with stains from doing other ways of trying to remove the stain...
Update : So I used your method and it didn't remove the stain, However, it did make the stain like SUPER less Noticeable. I most likely need to do it again to get rid of the stain once and for all. I should have used the Super Strength Version.
(The Stain was a Spaghetti Sauce Stain that had SET and left a Really Noticeable Yellow on the shirt in different area's)
Update 2 : So my white shirt still has the stains, but Its barely noticeable.
(only noticeable when focused) Definitely Recommend this.
It even took 3 day old blood stains off of my tank top!
Thank you for showing this Stain Remover!

i've used dawn vinegar and baking soda as a presoak really helped brighten my white's and removed odor I thought was embedded in the fabric. add the dawn just a tiny bit and the baking soda allow to pre soak at least 20 mins add vinegar and either start cycle or allow more time to presoak.
to all of you out there. why so many comments on does it have to be this or that . The answer is yes if you want the best results yes you Have to use Dawn blue original dish soap the blue color in the dawn may help make your white's look whiter
Baking powder and baking soda are not the same thing if they were they wouldn't need to have 2 products
if you want to experiment with other products do so at your own risk these ingredients are cheap and available at almost any grocery store, walmart, kmart, target etc.
. she gave you a formula that works but I doubt she can tell you if it will work on every fabric every stain. just try it obviously you have nothing to lose if it doesn't work
I think it also needs to be said that ...Bleach is not a stain it removes the color if you are talking about yellowing you might try a blueing agent or borax.
thanks to the author of this video

I have been using this solution for 5 or 6 months now. It's so amazing! Between me and 3 kids, we have proven that this solution works! I find it's easier for me to measure the ingredients so I use one part blue Dawn, one part baking soda and two parts hydrogen peroxide. I put it in a small container from the dollar store, apply with a disposable spoon, lightly scrub, let sit one hour and rinse. I just quickly rinse everything then put it in the sink with just enough water to cover everything and add some distilled white vinegar and let it soak for 10 to 15 minutes. This step gets off any remaining detergent which if left can ruin the washer. Thank you for this video!

I love this mixture! I’ve been using a similar combination that I sort of discovered myself with baking soda and Dawn dish soap that’s worked very well but the addition of the hydrogen peroxide has bumped this stain remover up to the next level! Thanks for the video I’m officially obsessed!
Btw- one type of stain I haven’t yet tried this on is a bleach stain. By this I’m not referring to a bleach spill that’s taken the color out of something... this stain I know is permanent... I mean a piece of clothing that is already white but after bleaching it got those ugly yellowish stains that bleach sometimes causes... I’m going to test this mixture on it and see if it helps but I was just wondering if anyone else had tried this yet or if they had any suggestions for this (super stubborn) type of stain (or perhaps this too is permanent?)? Thanks!
