I have gotten ink pen with magic eraser on jeans from washing a load of jeans with an ink pen in pocket ! Just rubbed where ink was with magic eraser and rewatched an ink was gone. I have had to do this several times because my husband leaves pens in his pockets 😮!! I now check every single pocket!!!!
This video was recommended to me by another reseller & it's just what I needed! In the past I've made most stains I've treated worse! Now, thanks to you, I am ready & anxious to tackle any stain that comes my way! THANKS SO MUCH!!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!! After watching this video I was able to remove an old stain from a white dress I’d only worn once. I was almost ready to give up and just wear it around the house but this video saved the day😊
I put hot water and a good scoop of oxiclean in the bathroom sink and soak stained items for at least 12 hours before I put them in the washer. I even soak sneakers and then put them in the washer. The sneakers I put in the washer with a couple old towels to get them scrubbed. They come out almost new. Even leather ones. If the leather is a bit dry after, I apply leather conditioner. After air drying them for about a day.
This video is right in line with all of your other videos. Super informative and helpful! I have been waiting for a thorough stain treatment video, you nailed it. Great job!
Thanks so much @mogibeth for yet another informative video!😊 My magic potion is equal parts blue Dawn and white vinegar. Works on most clothes and even your bathtub & fixtures! Also, bloodstains dissolve in peroxide or a paste of meat tenderizer & water
Mogi - you have inspired me to tackle the death pile today. You're truly gracious sharing your wisdom and I just want to thank you for all you do as an educator xx
I was pleasantly surprised with baking soda & rubbing alcohol. This video is a for sure keeper, I will definitely try them out. I too use ‘Dawn’ but I use Dawn ultra FOAM pump. Girl I swear by it… it’s Da Bomb!! Dirt, blood, even the ugly yellow sweat stains under the arms (pit stains/ ring around the collar) on white clothes. YES … that’s right~ WHITE CLOTHES! Life changer for me. I to use a spray bottle with water/ toothbrush in circular motion. Allow it some time , then wash in cold water. My son knows if he spills anything on his clothes to IMMEDIATELY apply to the area. Please keep me posted & let me know that I’ve made your day 💃🏻🎼🫶🏼
I use Spot Shot Carpet cleaner. It is aerosol dry cleaner so not for everyone. I use it when I don't want to wash an item in water. It remove dirt on the hems of long dresses in particular. I use Lighter fluid to remove fingernail polish stains. A friend who cleans carpets and oriental rugs showed me how to use.
Goop Stain remover is top notch for removing stains! Whink rust remover work 100% of the time for rust stains. I literally bought a pair of white pants with rust stains on it from sitting in a dryer or something, and it took it out and made the pants look like new.
MOGI, Beth.... you are AMAZING....!!!!!!! This video is game changing. I mean it I have had two items of clothing that I have been working on for a min trying to get the stains out. I have tried everything and literally this solution of Dawn dishwashing Dawn dish detergent and baking soda(household items) did the trick!!!!!!! Thank you again❤️😍🥰😀
thank you so much!! i have some white vintage tees that had collar/pit stains and was considering throwing them in a bucket of oxi clean but the dish soap + baking soda + hydrogen peroxide paste worked perfectly
Best book is an older book called “Talking dirty laundry with the queen of clean”. Huge amounts of tips and encyclopedia of cleaning tips. She says there is nothing she hasn’t been able to get out. And my go to which is pretty awesome is Parker and Bailey stain remover. This gets so many difficult stains out.
So I really tried these methods and voila! It really works! I have a great idea for you and fellow reseller TH-cam creators, use a gopro to show your listing routines, shipping routines, etc. It would be a phenomenal teaching tool as we would see first hand exactly how y'all do it! Atleast that's what I Wana see, we can listen all day but if we could see it in action that would be the best teaching tool! Sincerely, Amber
Very simple. I use a Shout Spray and spray all over the clothing. Usually Cotton or polyester. And I dunk it in cold water and let it sit a while, rinse and hang up. However, I'm glad you did this video because it shows how to get stubborn stains out.
Thanks for explaining that. I basically knew about those ideas but not which one to choose for which stains. Several things... I've seen those mesh bags at the dollar store, too. Blue Dawn dish soap is a myth based on an advertising campaign Dawn did many years ago. Blue Dawn is no different than any other Dawn detergent, apart from the scent and color. Of course, home made solutions are much cheaper but I have to say that, of all the commercial products I've used, Grandma's Secret Spot Remover is absolutely amazing! It comes in a little bottle. You only use a few drops, and it will get out almost anything. If it doesn't work, almost nothing will. Stains can show up on clothes from *anywhere*! My most embarrassing Poshmark moment was selling a shirt that I bought freshly dry cleaned from the closet of a multi-million dollar mansion estate sale. It just never crossed my mind that someone that obviously wealthy would have a stained shirt in their closet. Luckily I saw the small stain on the cuff as I was folding it up to ship but, of course, I had to apologize to the buyer and cancel the sale. I will not let that happen again!
The original “Awesome” yellow liquid spray bottle, is really great at dollar tree store !! Some dept stores use this in their alterations department to remove stains: use “Awesome” undiluted, then use plain distilled water spray bottle to rinse area; and blot dry, finally blow dry fabric until dry; as to not leave a wet ring. If you do not know fabrics well it is important to test all fabrics at a seam inside garment or another unseen area before trying to get stains out as fading can occur on any fabric; so try at your own risk. I have used this for years*** but this solution does not remove inks of any kind. ❤
I just tried the vinegar trick with two items that had strong musty / thrift store smell and it got it out! I was really nervous but it’d work like a charm! Thanks so much!
I would love to see a video of how manage your time during a typical day and week - how much time do you spend sourcing, listing, packaging and other things like getting stains out and going to Crossroads.....along with being a mother or a small child. I'm wondering if you have calculated your income per hour with what you know about sourcing now. Thank you!
Perfect timing! I just got a garment from the thrift store that had some stains on it and my husband thought we could get it out with our standard stain remover but it just would not budge. I am excited to try these techniques and see if I can get it out after all!
MOGI... YOU ARE THE GOAT...GREATEST OF ALL TIME😮... the alcohol trick. Oh my God took out all the ink and the what I think was make up stains. I just had to keep working at it, but they are GONE... I also recently got a return on address $250. I didn't even notice the stain because of the pattern. I got it back. I did the baking soda and Dawn trick and it's GONE... I hope you're having a wonderful day. Kiss your baby.😍... thank you AGAIN 😊😊😊😊😊
Well done, new Laundry information for me. I usually make a laundry spray from Heloise (Old School) but it is a little toxic. I use 1/3 C. Ammonia, 1/3 C. Laundry Soap unscented, and 2 C. Water, place in a Spray bottle, shake it up. I use it for urine, deodorant, neckline stains, works really well. The Ammonia gets to me in an enclosed place. Gag.. I too use the Mesh Bags, excellent for many items that are delicate. I hand wash some really nice tops that are special to me. Line dry, as they last so much longer than the Washer method. I just scored a cool pair of Pricey Brooks Tennis Shoes, like new. Stained with something weird; I will use your recipe of Soda and Dawn. I plan to remove the laces, to clean the shoes & Laces in a small pan before adding to my wash. Because they are new to me I want to keep any unknowns out of my Laundry. Thank you for a great demo Video, others pale to your production. You have a good start to a much needed base of information. Very engaging and encouraging~! Merci Beau Coup!
I’m going to try this on a pair of cables overalls that got from eBay I’ll update if it works or not I might even see about getting one of those things that you used on the leggings to use on my Lycra diving suits since some of them have got pilling on them from bcd Velcro straps and sharp edges of coral
Spraying vodka on clothes or shoes with odors and leaving it overnight will help eliminate them. I also like to use whitening tooth paste on white clothes to remove yellow stains.
Thank you so much for this video! I'm definitely saving it. I have tried to get ink stains out but never been successful, next time I'll use your tips! 😊
How do these work on "dry clean only" garments? I have a Burberry trench with pen stains and the dry cleaners couldnt get it out. Will hand washing those garments after stain treating ruin them you think?
I have light blue blouse that I spilled ketchup down the front. I used sparkling water or soda water at the restaurant. Came home and used tide stick. It looked like it was gone. However I didn’t check it before drying it🙈😩. I noticed when hanging it up it didn’t come out. Can I save this? Is ketchup a tannin stain?
Hey, I was just reading through the comments learning everyone’s tricks and seen yours! Thank you I’ll try the vodka! Also I use a magic eraser and it works amazing! It’s pretty quick and also because they’re so expensive I cut them into about 6 squares so I don’t ruin the whole sponge. Each square should do a pair or two❤️
@@GoPugsGo it may be a different formulation since I used it a few years ago. I use to put it on dry stains and scrub with a brush. If it was just working a little, I would add a bit of tide and scrub more. It would get out old stains. My kids grew up on used clothing

I know to hand wash it only, and I learned about vinegar and water solution to restore silk I guess and I used it on one garment, however I have a loveshackfancy dress that im scared to ruin haha.
